ComboBox: Equation In A Column Of Cells

I want to do is a simple list, 2 items, call them "Thing_1" and "Thing_2". I have an equation in a column of cells. The equation is a simple If statement. If the user selects "Thing_1" then the first equation will run, and if "Thing_2" is selected then the second equation will be used. That's it. No more complex than that.

Any way I can get an equation to only apply to cells with information in? E.g. I have two columns, one with 'disposal dates' in and the other with 'extended disposal dates'. I would like to get the difference between them (Extended disposal dates- disposal dates) however not all of them have an extended disposal date, therefore some cells display as '#VALUE!' because its calculating the disposal date-blank cell....

ComboBox Linking To Multiple Cells In Column?

I need to have a single combobox pull values from a very large term list (>40,000), and place selections in a single column in sequential cells (eg, B1, B2, B3, etc..). With the following code (credit to Ingolf and MickG) I am able to get the list to popluate cells in a column. However, I cannot seem to find the proper attributes to control the auto selection of items in list. I do want the autocomplete feature so the user can quickly navigate this huge list, but as soon as i start typing, it starts populating terms into the growing list. I would like to have the user actually select the item.

Specific Find Followed By Equation Applied And Outputted To A New Column

I have the data sheet, which is the result of another function. It produces 10 columns with numbers in each cell, there can be any number of rows, but the key is that the rows are outlined as follows. The first row has the first column number bolded, followed by the second row not bolded and then a space and a repeat of the bold cell, followed by the non bold cell. Each row fills up all ten columns. I have attached an example of the sheet.

What I would like to do is create a function which says brings up a box that says "Input Row" and the user would input the bolded number of a row. From here the code would take that value entered and divide it by the inputted bolded number’s adjacent cell, to the right, aka B2 column. This value would then be multiplied by every other bolded rows second cell, B2 column, essentially giving rise to a normalization of that column. The output would then be displayed in a new column, column 11 in italics. Each row would now have its italics value corresponding to the bolded number’s row and not the other rows.

Is there a way of copying an entire sheet, but pasting only the cells that don't contain an equation?

I have a number of populated templates that need to be copied into a master document, both formatted and laid out the same. However, I have some instances where the templates have been fiddled around with so the formulas have been corrupted. So, I'd like to pick up the raw data without the corrupted equations.

Vlook Up: Combobox Shows The The First Column (only 1 Of Each) And The Second ComboBox Shows Me The Secondary List

I have a userform where I have 2 comboboxes. The first combobox shows the the first column (only 1 of each) and the second comboBox shows me the secondary list that correlates to the valuse in the first from column B. Now I have a text box that I am trying to get the value from column C depending on what I have in the first 2 comboboxes. What is the easiest way to do it? This is all in VB since it is a UserForm, and using Vlookup seems to be too many lines if I go that route. Is there a way to use Index and Match in VB where it would be more efficient? I attached just a sample of how the data would be layed out in the Excel sheet.

Below is a nonlinear model, together with calibration data for which I would like to find the parameters Ro, Kc, a and b.

R = Ro + Kc * (1/(1 + exp(-(a + b*lnC))

Calibration Data


Given the calibration data above, how can I calculate or at least estimate these parameters?
I do not want to use an add-in program, like Solver, in Excel. I do, however, want to be able to use any existing functions, if necessary, in Excel. i'd appreciate it if someone can walk me through the steps.

Calculate Best Fit Equation Of Curve

I am trying to calculate the equation of a curve which best fits some data. On the x-axis is date and y-axis the readings. The curve is quadratic, so on the chart I am fitting a 2nd order polyomial and displaying the equation. To prove that the equation the trendline gives me is reasonable, I am applying the equation on the x parameter to get the y parameter estimate and looking to see the error between predicted and actual - see attached.

The equation and the output from it are clearly rubbish, even though on the graph the trendline is a reasonable fit - see attached. Has anyone any ideas why? I think it has something to do with using a date on the x-axis but no idea why. Is there a way to correct for this? I also tried using the following I to calculate the coefficients which came up with a reasonable forecast (although linest should only be used for linear data): =LINEST(C3:C15,B3:B15^{1,2,3})

I have a combobox on a userform that I have set the columncount to 3, so it displays data from columns A, B, and C when the combobox dropdown is used. However, once someone makes a selection from the dropdown, only the item from the first column is displayed in the combobox. Is there a way for me to show the info from all 3 columns once a selection is made?

Populating Worksheet Column From Combobox

I have a userform with comboboxes and listboxes etc. The comboboxes have drop down lists which are populated from data in columns from a worksheet.

1.) During the execution of the userform, a value is selected from the combobox, which is place in a column on another worksheet. So far so good. If I select the same value again, nothing shows up in the row below the first selection. If I choose a different value it shows up. I have tried using different properties of the combobox but have not been able to get around this.

2.) I would like, when the excel file is opened that the userform is ready to go, ie enter data. I have tried putting the

Pick Combobox Column To Display (ID Vs Name) Via VBA

I have some vba code that opens up notepad and populates it with data from Access 2010. Everything works great including the notepad function, the database, and how the data is stored and displayed in the table/form.

The problem: I want to display the service name not the ID in notepad

I passed the field that I want to include in notepad as a string. However, it returns the ID and not the name of the person.

I don't want to change anything in the form or field property because it works perfect as is.

Is there a way to pick which column to display in the Email by vba code?

Column 0 = the ID and Column 1 = the name

So in a simple words, after i pick "uio" in name combobox and pick "Jul" from month combobox, the amount that i pick from amount combobox will be entered in cell H4...

I've tried several ways to return value and using search function and match the data, but its only for row, not both row and column... Is there any way to achieve this?

I am trying to use a combo box with a defined list I have in another worksheet.

I was able to name and populate the list into the combo box, but am trying to work a macro into it.

I have a large data sheet with with many columns. In this worksheet, I also placed the combo box. What I would like to do is to be able to click on a name in the combo box and have it filter Column H, where there are many data points.

For example, In column H I have Apples, Watermelons, Peaches, etc.

In the combo box list, I would like to click on Apples and Column H list only the Apple names. Then if I want to click on Watermelons, it would filter Column H to only those which have Watermelons listed...
