Errors With Changing Cell Background Colour?

I'm using this code below to change the background colour of a range of cells:

I am receiving 'Object doesn't support this property or method' errors starting with the highlighted row. I'm unable to understand where I've erred. Note that range I18:J18 are merged.
Is this method an efficient way of simply changing a cell's background colour?

how can I change the following code so that the cell background colour remains the same. the below code unlinks the hyperlinks but deletes the backgroundcolour also of all the cells.

I would like to know whether it is possible to change the background colour of items in a dropdown/combobox on my userform?
I have a series of times at 15 min intervals and i want, if possible, to distingish between 'working hours' and 'non-working hours' by making the background of these numbers 'grey'.
Maybe looping through from 00:00 to 07:00 i.e 28 times (28 x 15min intervals)?

I have recently inherited a spreadsheet where information is tracked by using various background colours on cells for different meanings.
In order to clean up the data and make it usable I need to find the 1st cell in each row without the fill
Is there a way in Excel to display the first cell in a row which is not blank andwhich doesn't have a background fill applied?

I have a column range,say (a1:a45) that has a 2 digit numerical value, next to that I have a column range, say (b1:b45)
I want to test subtract the value in b1 from the value in a1
if the answer is equal to or greater than 0 I want to colour the cell green.
if the answer is equal -2 I want to colour the cell yellow.
if the answer is less than -2 I want to colour the cell red.

The problem is that the cells which need to change are locked and have a object group ontop of them and are not all in one row or column..
The cells which need to change are A4,A5,A6,B6,C6,D6,E6,F6,G6,H2,H3,H4,H5,H6,I6,J6,K2,K3,K4,K5,K6.
It sort of a theme changer for my spreadsheet incase people want a change and can do all of it with one click of a button or maybe click on a cell with the colour on it and have that colour copy itself to the range.

I have been assigned a task to create one table by counting how many cells are in red, yellow, blue, white colour.
red: indicate the certificate which will expired within one month
Yellow: indicate certificate which will expired within 2 to 3 month
blue: indicate certificate which expired
white (without any colour): indicate certificate that will expired in the future which more than 3 month
The table shall consist of "non-expired cert" - red and yellow; expired cert and total cert.

I wish for a text box (drawn Text Box, from the "Shapes" tab) to conditionally change its background color based on whether a cell in a different sheet says "Online" - in which case it should be green, or "Offline" - in which case it should be red. So far, the code that I have that doesnt work at all, which I'm not even sure where to place (I tried in the Workbook - Open?), is the following:

I am working on a workbook with 200+ sheets and an index linking to each of the sheets. On the sheets there is a cell containing the results of calculations and I need the cell referencing the sheet in the index to change background colors depending if the calculations value is greater or less than 0. I currently have working code that also changes the tab color of each sheet depending on the value, but i am trying to add the index cell background change functionality into that. also, the index listings is subject to change. my working code is

I keep getting the runtime error '1004: application-defined error or object-defined error the thing is, i ran the cell background changing code in a normal macro before integrating it in my other worksheet code first and it worked fine. I have a little code experience, though not much in vba and I am unsure what the issue is. if there is another better way to accomplish what I'm tring to do, that would also be fine.

I'm trying to create a tag with a color border. What I desire is to fill the BLANK cells around the tag, A1:D1 + D1:D19 + A1:D19 + A1:19 in a certain color based on the text value of the cell B11. There are 5 different values, such that if the B11 read Red Sox - the boarder is going to be red, if it reads Houston Astros it will be dark blue, etc..
I have a similar problem with changing the color of the cell based on the month. So regardless of the year, 2014, 2015, 2016, etc... If I use MONTH() function I can just get numbers from 1-12. I want Cell C16-C18 to be certain color depending the date entered in cell C17 such that for each quarter, months 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 they are different color.
I have had no luck with conditional formatting (and I also believe that it is good up to 3 cases only). I am decent in logic/programming language but have little knowledge with macro notation and especially how to run them in excel 2013. I do know how to start it alt+F11 and that I need to make sure that code is written under the specific sheet where my tag is located.

How can I change its colour? Every time I try to it reverts to the automatic black. I do not want to change the automatic colour (not that I know how to) because black suits me for most of the cells; but there are some where I want a blue border.
This problem arose in conditional formatting but applies to ordinary formatting too. It occurs in 2007 and 2003.

I am an Excel newbie and would like your help to develop the attached spread sheet. I would like the colour of cells A4 to H4 to change colour when the date in column B is plus 10 days and the same to happen to A5 to H5 so on and so on
I would also like the cells A4 to P4 to change colour when a quote goes to become an order an we enter data into J4 to P4 again the same thing to happen in subsequent lines as data is entered in the relevant line.
Basically I want a quote of 10 days or more to show as a different colour so that an employee can chase the quote. Once the quote become a firm order I want the cells to become a different colour again.

I'm trying to change the colour of a row based on the value in a cell (in a column) and am wondering how I can do that. Conditional formatting doesn't allow enough colours unfortunatly. Ive googled it and can only get a cell colour to change not a row colour.
To give an explanation:
Sheet 1: Rows 5 - 100 colour to change based on Sheet 2 Column K5-100.
Column K5-K100 will have values between 0 and 10.

I m a newbie at Excel but i have a little work project on my hands which i would like to have an excel document have cells change colour to the date
eg:
Today is 05/02/08 cells with the attached date of this should be orange
Above this date should be green (e.g 10/02/08)
and below this date should be red (e.g 01/01/07)
Also after this problem is solved, the dates that turn orange is it possible to automatically have some sort of message come up saying that "Such as such is expiring" or for the red "Such and such is expired" and would the program/document need to be open for the messages to occur?

I want to change the back ground colour of each row until G column when there is a text in the first cell. I have attached the excel that I want the background colour to be. Like suppose, F1 is the details of family 1, F2 is for family 2. I want each family to be coloured. The rows are not fixed for each family. If F1 details are coloured green, Fr is orange, F3 is green and F4 is orange again. And the number F1, F2, F3, F4 and so on are not ordered in ascending. They can be random. But I want the colour coding to be the same as what I have shown in the excel. I have so many rows like that. How do I do that using excel. I have tried conditional formatting. But it doesn't work.

In the IAF tab, last one on sheet, I want to highlight a cell if on the Day tabs there is anything in column E, this will be text e.g. LAD, LE, E, AD, LC or NS, and in the same cell show the number that appears in column J of the day tabs, the excel sheet I'm working is to large to upload, if I delete some of the tabs all of the formulas go out of kilter. If Joe Blogs was at work on Day 1, the corresponding cell in the IAF tab should be yellow, if the supervisor monitored Joe's work on Day 1 the same IAF tab cell should remain yellow and show the number that is placed in column J on Day 1 for Joe Blogs.

I need a macro that will change the background colour of a cell depending on whether it equals a certain variant. Let me explain.
Cells D8 to N8 will either equal 1, 2, 3 or 4. Depending on the value of the cells on row 8 (D8:N8) I need the above cells on row 4 (D4:N4) to have a different background colour.
If the cell on row 8 is 1, the cell on row 4 must have a green background.
If the cell on row 8 is 2, the cell on row 4 must have a yellow background.
If the cell on row 8 is 3, the cell on row 4 must have a red background.
If the cell on row 8 is 4, the cell on row 4 must have a blue background.
Therefore, if D8 = 3, D4 will have a red background. If F8 = 2, F4 will have a yellow background. And so on.
I need a macro that when ran changes the background colour of the cell range D4:N4 depeding on the value of the cell 4 rows beneath (D8:N8).

I have a calendar set up with dates going along P6:CU6. Column C9:C27 has various status' for the job such as "Complete" or "In Progress" etc. Next to that in rows D and E I have start and end dates for the job. What I am trying to do is change the fill colour of the empty cells that are in line with each job, so that between the correct dates they are the corresponding colour to the status. So a complete job on row 9 that started on 26/05/14 and finished on 28/05/14 would have three green cells along Q9, R9, and S9.
I have tried an IF/AND/OR statement which looks like this:
=IF(AND(Q6>=D9,Q6<=E9),OR(IF(C9="Planned","P",""),IF(C9="In Progress","IP",""),IF(C9="Late","L",""),IF(C9="Complete","C","")),"")
I am getting a #VALUE! data type error, I have tried reformatting the cells to various date formats but no luck so far. This could be because my dates are set up as =P6+1 etc. but I am not sure. The error only occurs when the cell falls within the dates, otherwise it remains blank.
I intend to hide the value in the cell and use conditional formatting to change the cell colour based on the hidden input.
Once this is working I also need to take weekends into account, column G has any 2 value combination of Y and N to say whether the employee is working Saturday, Sunday or both. Row 7 has a "1" value underneath every Saturday and a "2" underneath every Sunday. I can imagine how this would work but combining it with the above formula could be complicated.

I'm trying to set a conditional formatting to do the following:
If A1 is greater than 1, A2 will change its background colour to green. So the format needs to be in A2.
Basically in A1 is a page number that we have reconciled our bank statement to (labelled as "64" or "65" and so on), A2 has the end of statement amount.
Every month end we do a bank rec, the green cell is a marker to show what point we reconciled up to previous month.

I have some code below which looks at values added between a set range of cells. This works OK.
My problem is when i have to change the cell as it removes the background colour already set to certain columns ie Columns I, J, P, Q, W, X, AD, AE (these are coloured a light green).
The other cells in the range have no colour and so the code below works with no problem.
