I have a list of names on my first sheet, and I want to mirror these on a second sheet, but at the start of a repeating table containing data releating to each named person. eg. I want a Name in

'Sheet 1'!A4

to display in

'Sheet 2'!A5

, and then the name in

'Sheet 1'!A5

to display in

'Sheet 2'!A32

Dependant Lists Using Text Values Not Listed In Worksheet

I have seen in the forums where lists are created by refering to column values in other worksheets.If you create a list by entering text values can you make other lists dependant to those values and can those lists also be made up of text lists?

All the examples I have seen here use lists that exist in some other worksheet

I use lists which use text values directly and not from a worksheet. I'm wondering how to make a secondary/sub list dependant on each value selected so say if text value "A" is selected in list 1 then this only allows the list for "A" to be available for list 2 in its corresponding cell (the next one along)

I would like to instantly mirror any selected cell within a specific column into another specified cell.

If A1 has the value 4, A2 has the value 6, A3 has 7, A4 has 9, and I click on those cells in the order above, I would like to see the cell I specify show the same value when I've selected (clicked on) them.

A macro was submitted in a similar thread, but I have a slightly different problem. I have empty cells, A1:A10, and in cells C1:C10 I have data. If A1 is selected, I would like to be able to click on any cell in colum C and that info then appears in A1. Then I will select A2, and again, click on any cell in C1:C10 and that appears in A2 and so on. I do not want cells A1 etc. to
change once populated. This can be a macro as well.

I gather data and several sheets within a workbook and sort the data regularly. I have a tally sheet that references these sheets. My problem is that if I make a cell bold or red in the main sheet it does not show bold or red on the tally sheet. Is there a way to get the format to carry over to the tally sheet?

Table 2 will be updated on a monthly basis with new patients and new visits. Table could also be updated if new clinics are added. The tables are from two different sources.

I need to combine the two tables so I can then pivot and have a sub-total per month, per site and grand total per month. I tried match, Vlookup, combining the two but I am getting lost.

Unique Values In Pivot Tables

I have a list of purchase order line items. Each Purchase order could have multiple line items, so the list could have many occurances of the same purchase order number. I have designed a pivot table which summaries line items by ordering area (one of the fields in the list).

This works fine but what I would also like to check is the number of purchase orders by area. How can I acheive this? I would prefer not to use any helper columns but will adapt my application if this is needed.

Mirror Data Between Worksheets In Same Workbook?

Using Office 2011 for mac, but felt this question was best suited for general.

Here is the situation.

I have a workbook with three sheets. It's a price/invoice/labor workbook.

Sheet 1 has all the data, including my cost and loss/gain fields
Sheet 2 has labor costs and the totals are linked to Sheet1
Sheet 3 is the customer copy of the first sheet. It does not include wholesale and profit info.

I'm trying to link the cells so that when info changes in Sheet 1, it's reflected, in real time on Sheet3

Right now I'm using a formula per cell ='Sheet1'!XXX (where XXX = the cell/column location, ie D15). The first column I started has this formula in every cell, about 100 in all, copied by hand and changed to reflect. It works, but it seems like there has to be an easier way to mirror or link the data. I tried pasting special with links, but continue to get errors as the link pather includes the entire file data path from the local machine.

I still have about 200 cells left and I'm dreading doing this all by hand. Also, If I add a new row to sheet1, this will not reflect in sheet 3.

Import Web Page From Mirror File

I have some software that was written for me that scrapes data. It has a file in it that mirrors the web pages that it is scraping.

I would like to actually import those web pages one at a time based on a condition in the browser. The code of the web page is html. When one of the 35 mirror web page's "MTP" = "POST", I would like for all the web page to be loaded into a sheet called WPS. I would want that to stay loaded until "MTP" = "OFF". There may be more that one of the mirrored web pages with "MTP" = "POST". In that case, only one can be loaded at a time and that is fine. Once the "MTP" = "OFF", I want it to go to the next mirrored web pages with "MTP" = "POST" and load that web page from the mirror file.

I'm trying to make a macro that match table in sheet "Vocabulary" to the second table (columns Q,R,S,T) in sheet "Overview" and compute correct values in column U using weights from column F, sheet Vocabulary on values from a corresponding cell at column M, sheet Overview. The entries for every ISIN in the sheet Vocabulary are in no particular order and some positions from sheet Overview don't have to exist in Vocabulary at all (but I still need them to display in the table on the right to be able to make charts from summing these categories).


How should the end result look like is displayed on the last sheet.

how to return values based on some conditions.

So for the sake of this example i have two cells lets call them J1 & J2 , one with the client name and another with State (matches the table name)

How can i get it so when i type in say Client 1 & Table 3 it will return the information in client 1s column into table 1s rate column. Obviously i want to be able to type in any clients name / table and have the same thing happen.

Automatically Mirror Specific Range On Another Worksheet

Hello, what I would like to do is take a portion of a sheet..... So the cells I want to mirror are in the proposal sheet cells B32 x F51. And then mirror the exact duplicate copy to another sheet. The other sheet should have those same values at A20 X G39. What I am trying to do is have a sheet that has skus, prices, and so forth and then when I add,delete, merge, color, or do anything to the cell on the "proposal creation" sheet I want it to mirror only a specific cells to another sheet that is "salesman copy" that we will print to clients. So this way ont he proposal copy a salesman can insert rows or even change the color of the cells and then have it mirror exactly the same on the "salesman copy" which is what we will print for clients.

Search/Find Values From Multiple Tables/Worksheets

As in attached file, I have 5 tables:
Table 1: matrix that contains Weight data in each cell
Table 2: matrix that contains Code data in each cell
Table 3: Relationship between Code and Level data
Table 4: Table with relationship between Weight data, Code data and Level data
Table 5: I want to populate each cell in Table 5 matrix from getting values from Table 4 by looking up the right value from Table 5 based on :
1) Weight data from corresponding cell in Table 1
2) Code data from corresponding cell in Table 2
3) Code and Level relationship.

for e.g. to get value for Table 5, Worksheet cell B140 ( intersection of A1-A1),
1) corresponding weight is 1.17 as in Table 1 (Weight data) (Worksheet cell B3)
2) corresponding Code is 6 as in Table 2 (Code data) (Worksheet cell B35)
3) Code 6 corresponds to Level 2 (as seen in Table 3)(Worksheet cell A74)

so, looking up the 3 values from Table 4 i.e. Level 2, Code 6, Weight 1.17, one gets cell AR98 with corresponding value. therefore, final value in Table 5, Worksheet cell B140 (intersection of A1-A1) will be equal to $4.00

I have been trying to solve this using Vlookup, Hlookup, Index/Match but am getting confused. Also, not too sure if this can be done in 1 step. New to these excel and these functions

Array Formula - Finds Date Then Start Adding Values Until Specified Sum Reached

I have an Excel workbook with two sheets "DataSheet" and "Actual Peaks", "DataSheet" contains a column with dates and a column with values. "Actual Peaks" has a bunch of dates listed in a column. For each date in 'Actual Peaks', another column goes back to the "DataSheet" finds the date, then starts adding values until a specified sum is reached, once the sum is reached, it returns the date at which the sum was reached. However, I have found that sometimes it is off by a day or two.

Excel 2010 :: Data Validation Won't Accept Start And End Date From Cell Values?

Data validation in an Excel 2010 workbook.

I want the date input to be restricted a start date and an End date specified in two cells on the sheet. However, when I set up the Data Validation, ANY date will be accepted.

As an example cell Z1 contains the date 1/3/2014 and Cell Z2 contains the date 31/3/2014, so in the Data Validation box, the Start Date is referenced to Z1 and the End Date is referenced to cell Z2.

But I can enter 1/9/2020 and the Data Validation happily accepts that date.

Excel 2010 :: Creating Multiple Tables In VBA And Referring To Newly Created Tables?

Using Excel 2010. I'm writing a macro that sets up a workbook to be used for estimating at the beginning of a project. In the code I need to create multiple tables (formerly known as "lists") in the workbook. Then later in the code I need to refer back to those newly created tables. Currently, the code that creates the table is part of a loop that creates the table on many different worksheets. The problem of course, is that I have to name the Table, and then it won't create a table of the same name on the next sheet. Then, later in the code, I need to make adjustments to the table that was just created before looping to the next sheet.

Is there a way to create a table without giving it a constant name? Or by giving it a name that builds off of other info in the sheet? For example, I would be good with the naming the table after the sheet name: "Sheet1_Table" or such.
