Delete Blank Rows (formula Not Deleting All Rows)

Sep 30, 2008

I have the following codes to delete all blank rows in column A

Dim lastrow As Long
lastrow = Sheet1.Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row
MsgBox lastrow

With Sheet1
For t = 1 To lastrow
If Cells(t, 1) = "" Then
Rows(t).Delete
End If
Next t
End With

End Sub

Although it is working , it is not deleting all the blank rows at once, I have to keep pressing on the macro button running the macro several times, until all blank rows are completely deleted.

Macro To Delete Blank Rows With Formula

Jul 30, 2009

I'm trying to find a way to delete blank rows that contains formula. I have two excel sheets.
sheet1 contains information and sheet2 references the values from sheet1. Let's say I put the following values in sheet1:

ColA
AAA
(blank)
(blank)
BBB
(blank)
CCC

After entering above values in sheet1, here's what sheet2 would look like:

ColA
AAA
(blank that holds formula) =IF(ISBLANK(Sheet1!A2)," ",Sheet1!A2)
(blank that holds formula) =IF(ISBLANK(Sheet1!A3)," ",Sheet1!A3)
BBB
(blank that holds formula) =IF(ISBLANK(Sheet1!A5)," ",Sheet1!A5)
CCC

What I really wanted to happen is for macro to eliminate blank rows in sheet2 to look something like:
ColA
AAA
BBB
CCC

Is it something possible?

Clear Rows Vs. Deleting Rows To Avoid #REF! Formula Error - Macro

Jun 9, 2009

I have a macro which is copying data from several worksheets into one consolidation worksheet. When determining where to paste the data into the consolidation sheet, the macro includes some logic to find the last row that has data in it (using e.Range("A65536").End(xlUp).Row, where "e" is a variable holding the name of the consolidation worksheet).

Once all the data is on the consolidation worksheet, I have a second worksheet with formulas that link to the consolidation sheet. The issue I have is that the first step of my consolidation macro deletes all data on the consolidation sheet to ensure that no data is double-counted). I am deleting the data with logic that simply deletes all rows from 3 to 65536. Once these rows are deleted, Excel returns a #REF! error on my second worksheet which is linking back to this data.

Rather than deleting the rows on the consolidation sheet, I have tried using the Clear and/or ClearContents commands instead. This works (i.e., my formulas no longer error out), but results in the consolidation macro running very slowly (~15 minutes, compared to

Delete Blank Rows & Rows Below Meeting Condition

Jun 21, 2008

I have an imported report in a spreadsheet. It imports to three columns. I need to check each row in column A for three seperate criteria and delete the rows I don't need. I need to delete blank rows and check next row for page header info. Delete these and next rows to next blank cell. Check next row for page header and not delete if not page header. Several rows down will be a cell with 23 blank spaces before the word Reg: and sometimes other words past this but always this first. This row is to be kept. I looked at the FAQ's example of Deleting but I don't think it will work. I also need to put a key word in column A at a point where I want to stop. This report is a couple thousand rows long so a VBA procedure would really save time. I have a procedure I use to check for two zero's in two cells that hide these rows but I couldn't modify it to work on this report.

Deleting Rows Below 1st Blank Row

Aug 3, 2007

I've spent some time creating a module that speeds my every day tasks. I've set up Excel so that it is attached whenever I open a new spreadsheet ( Book.xlt). owever, I am frequently emailed spreadsheets from others and would like the functionality of my module without having ot import the module everytime. How do I force Excel to attach/import my module from my hard-drive to any Excel file I open? I understand naming conventions could come into play in the event someone emails me a spreadsheet that already has "Module1" attached. I'm sure I can come up with a unique name for my module should the automated import process actually be possible. How 'bout it folks?

Macro For Deleting Blank Rows ...

I am able create a macro using the find function to find the next blank row, but I would like to have it select a range of rows down that I can then delete. Each time I run the macro the next blank row may be different thant the last, so it can't be a set number of row numbers each time. I could also possibly use the print area function if it would be easier.

Here is what I have so far, what is in red is where I need it to vary from next active blank row down to R2001C14, and then delete all the active blank rows ...

Delete Picture When Deleting Rows

Feb 24, 2008

I have made an excel document that I use as a order form. I have size columns; qty columns; style number columns etc. After I enter in qtys to a sheet I than sort the sheet by the qty column which than brings all of my ordered styles to the top of the order form. I than delete everything that is below the last column that has qtys in it.

I have added pictures on the side of the worksheet which fit into the grids of each row that corridinates with the appropriate style number. I can sort the worksheet and all of the pictures stay in the appropriate columns; so far so good.

The problem that I run into is now when I go to delete all of the other columns that the customer didnt order none of the pictures delete. They jsut pile on top of each other and I cant figure out how to embed each picture to the appropriate row so that when I delete the row the picture deletes as well. At this point I have to go through and delete picture by picture and there are way to many pictures to do this.

How do I imbed the pictures into the row so that when i delete the row the picture deletes as well

Deleting Rows Where Cells In Multiple Columns Are Blank

Apr 17, 2013

I work with a spreadsheet every week to input values and subtotal them. These values change constantly and instead of going through and manually deleting each row in a 100+ row spreadsheet to be able to import into another program, I'm looking for an quicker way to keep my data in order but consolidate by getting rid of only the rows where both column A and B are blank.

Here's an example of what I'm working with:

5
10
15
20
50
2
4
6
8
20

This is what I need the final product to look like:

5
10
15
20
50
2
4
6
8
20

So I would like to quickly delete rows 2, 5, and 11. All of the other answers I've found only show how to delete rows based on empty cells in only 1 column. How can I quickly delete the rows where both columns are empty?

VBA To Delete Blank Rows

Feb 23, 2013

a VBA code to delete blank rows.

The current worksheet has data which is retrieved from other worksheets.

For example:

Current worksheet A1= Sheet1!A1
Current worksheet A10= Sheet2!A1
Current worksheet A20= Sheet13!A1

The range of this current worksheet is A1:F1287 and inbetween there are blank rows. The cells in the current worksheet are not technically blank, because each cell (A1:F1287) retrieves the information from the respective worksheet.

I would like to know of a VBA code to delete a whole blank row/-s (all columns of this row is blank) inbetween the range. Therefore, if there is a whole blank row, this row to be deleted and to go to the next row that shows information . In other words, instead of me manually searching and deleting whole empty rows; a VBA code for this task.
