Display Cell B1 Value In Sheet1 Of All Workbooks In Sample Workbook

I have a workbook name Sample and I want the code to run when its opened and it should check the first sheet "Sheet1" in all the workbooks in the folder C:FolderTemp.
And if the first sheet name is not "Sheet1" then just ignore that workbook and move to next workbooks. If the first sheet name is "Sheet1" in a workbook then store the value present in cell B1 in Sample workbook "Sheet1".
So if there are 5 workbooks in the folder C:FolderTemp and two of them hasn't got first sheet named "Sheet1" then display value of B1 in rest of the 3 sheets to the "Sheet1" of "Sample workbook" one after another.

Sheet1 is a list of names, then a few columns of numbers.
Sheet2 contains calculations based of the numbers in sheet1.
Each sheet from 2 on is names after the names in sheet1 column A...
A large cell at the top of each sheet contains the formula to display the sheet name:
=MID(CELL("filename",A1),FIND("]",CELL("filename",A1))+1,255)
So what I want to do now is...
in cell, look for the cell in sheet1, and display the value in the cell offset by X so i can bring the numbers from sheet1 over.
In plain english the cell would say like...
"look in sheet1 for "Name" then display the cell next to it"
I know to look in the next sheet its "=Base!B2" if i wanted b2 on sheet base.
I know to use "=OFFSET(Base!B2, , 1, , )" too look at B2 and go right 1 column.
But the issue is i dont want Base!B2.. i want whatever cell in Base column A that has the text that A1 has.

How do I use VBA to Activate Sheet1 of a workbook? I am using the following to go BACK a sheet, but really need to get to the first sheet in the workbook.

If it's a new wb, then it's tab is called Sheet1.If it's an existing wb, and it only has 1 sheet, then I need that one (in case someone has added a sheet and deleted Sheet1)

Basically I have two sheets. Sheet1 and sheet2 on the same workbook. The sheet1 is where all data I want to extra to the sheet2.

So, sheet2 has the header and what I need is to fill the information based on the sheet1.
I am thinking using the Vlookup but maybe VBA is better off to handle this situation?

I have a workbook I add report data to, in the form of imported sheets. I know how to do this with text files, but I'm lost on existing excel files. I want to add Sheet1 from one excel file to another workbook. I got this far, but I don't know how to tell the computer to import the data from Sheet1 in the old file into the new version of Sheet1 in the workbook. So I currently get a blank new sheet.

For my project , I am using Excel as a frontend and Access as a backend. Now, I want to write the code in workbook_Open event that will copy data in Column L,M,N,O from Access table. The query should select data from Access table where Date=Todays Date. All the Queue Names and corresponding Queue Numbers are stored in Sheet2 of the attached workbook. In Access table , there are three fields named as Type,Type1,Type2 which make up Queue numbers.
In Sheet1 , There are Queue Names and we have to store Total Batches,Totl Envelopes,total Documents and total Pages for the corresponding Queue Names in Sheet1. SO for this we need to check the Queue Numbers of the Queue names in SHeet2 but in table Queue Numbers are equal to Type & Type1 & Type2.

I have 2 Worksheets in an Excel 2010 Workbook -
Sheet1
Column1: contains the word "dog"
Column2: contains the word "bark"
Sheet2
Column1: contains the sentence "I like dogs a lot."
Column2: is blank
What I need to do is search Sheet2/Column1 for the presence of "dog" and if it's present, populate the word "bark" in Sheet2/Column2 from Sheet1/Column2.

I need a macro which read out the last (in this file Pos. 4) or a user seleted Position (Position 2 or 1). The macro should read out the cells in this row and put the data into the defined cells in Sheet2.
in this case:
Data from B4[Sheet1] copy to B5[Sheet2]
Data from C4[Sheet1] copy to C7[Sheet2]
Data from D4[Sheet1] copy to E6[Sheet2]
The cells in Sheet2 are the same every time. Only the data (the row) in Sheet1 does change. I add more Position every week in Sheet1.

I have a workbook with sheet1 and sheet2. Each sheet I am only dealing with columns A-D. The data in column A in both sheets is the unique identifier. The below macro I am using will take sheet1 (ColumnA) and compare to sheet2 (ColumnA). If the identifies are the same in both cells it will highlight it green.
What I need to add to the below macro is the ability to add a cell copy over. So sheet1 being my master, if sheet1 and sheet2 have a equal identifier in column A, the data from sheet1 B,C,D for that row will be copied over to sheet2 of its equal identifier sheet2 B,C,D.

I have I workbook that contains 2 sheets. The first sheet "Business Objects" is the master list. The second sheet "Gene" contains similar data but is incomplete. There is a unique identifer for both sheets and that is item ID. what I would like to do is look at the Item ID column on sheet1 compare it to SS# on sheet two and copy any rows from sheet1 to the end of the sheet in sheet 2. I have found in my searches on this forum a bit of code that identifies the ones in sheet1 that are not in Sheet2 and highlights them red(which is not neccessary for me, but I am struggling to figure out how to take that and paste it to sheet2.

I need to have a ticking clock by seconds in cell A1 on Sheet1.
This cannot have the current date associated with it. It needs to only show the time because I am using specific times in A4:A200 for employee report times, and in column B an IF statement
=IF(F4="x","Checked In",IF(A4>$A$1,"Early","Late"))
that show if an employee check in late. Column F will be used by our supervisor and they will simply mark an 'x' when the employee reports in for their shift.
I would like this macro to start automatically when a user opens the workbook, and stop when they close it.

I am working in excel 2007. I have been using the COUNTIFS function to pull out some summary stats from my data. For my data I have sample ID's which are a letter followed by a number e.g. A12, A20, A39, A50. I have 40 columns of variables I am looking at which for each sample ID have either a value of 0 or a numerical number. For each column, I want to count firstly any samples that are greater than 0 (i.e. they have a numerical value) AND if the sample ID differs. This is because I have multiple samples per ID and so I want to know how many different ID's have a numerical value.
Is this at all possible in Excel? I do not know all of the functions very well, so I cannot find anything that will allow me to look at differences in the samples ID.

I am computing the average of anywhere from 5-10 numbers. When the numbers are not inserted there is nothing left in the cell. The problem is I get a value that is close to the average but not the real average. (Also the cells I am using are N37:Q41 for the first 5 samples which is constant the next 5 are not always constant W37:Z41) Here is the formula I am using:

I have an excel sheet with the following sample data on it.

Ray 33 M 5' 8''
Sind 29 F 5'4''
Ralph 3 M 2' 1"
Ryan 1 M 1' 2"
I have managed to extract this info onto a form named Form1 which has 4 list boxes in which the above info is displayed in the same format.
To be more precise
Listbox1 shows all the Names,
Listbox2 shows Age
List box3 shows Sex and
Listbox4 shows height respectively.
What i want to do is, When i select an item on Listbox1, all corresponding enteries on Listbox2, 3 and 4 should also be simultaneously highlighted,
For example if I select the third data Ralph on the ListBox1, then ListBox2 should highlight 3,
Listbox3 should highlight M and
Listbox4 should highlight 2' 1" simultaneously.
