Macro Print Invoice After Choosing Sheet From Dropdown List

May 1, 2014

with the following....In the first sheet of attached file I keep data regarding all invoice sheets next to the data sheet (not visible in this example). I like to print an invoice in all sheets (area H3-AI43) from a selected invoice sheet out of a drop-downlist in the "data"sheet. After printing the actual printdate must be placed in column F of the "data" sheet next to the sheet number. Would be great if this is possible! Maybe I'm not clear enough. The purpose is to print only 1 invoice from a selected sheet out of the drop-down list.....and not all invoices from all sheets!

Macro - Choose From Dropdown List Then Copy Page To New Sheet

Jan 3, 2013

I am after some VBA code that chooses each value from a drop down list (in cell A1) then copies a separate sheet 1 (sheet 1) into another workbook (can have both workbooks open at the same time or the first step will have to create a workbook) with the name of the added sheet renamed to the value chosen from the list. When the second value is chosen then sheet 1 should be copied into the newly created workbook as well.

Sheet 1 has lookups that are updated when the new value in the drop down list is chosen

There are around 85 values in the drop down list so I'm expecting a workbook with 85 tabs (copy pasted values and formats)

Create Dropdown List By Selection

May 6, 2014

I am trying to create 2 drop-down lists (based on named ranges), where the contents of the second selection change based on the first selection. On one sheet, I have a list of equipment that is quite long, but is broken up by categories. I have named ranges for all the category names, and the equipment in each category. On the other sheet (user side) I made the first drop down the list of categories, and would like the 2nd drop down to be the pieces of equipment that correspond with the chosen category. I have tried using data validation and nesting IF formulas, but it only works for the first 4-5 categories, bc my formula is longer than the Source field allows in Data Validation. Any other way I can make this work? Can I use a macro for this? If so, how to write it as this would be my first macro

Dropdown List Selection Fills Two Cells

Dec 26, 2008

how to create drop down lists which is making a sales forecast template for my small company look pretty jazzy. Of course, now I want more out of it and can't figure it out.

I successfully added a drop down list for a sales person to pick a supplier, let's say their selection populates cell E4. Once selected, the next cell over (F4) gives them another drop down list with the products made by that particular supplier. The next cell over (G4) is in a column titled "Unit Cost", how can I make the Unit Cost cell populate automatically when the product selection is made in F4?

NOTE: My "lists" are on Sheet 1 along with my working spreadsheet. I have a Suppliers List, Products List (for each supplier), and anticipate I will need a Price List for each Product List, right?

Once I finish the spreadsheet can I cut and paste all the data to sheet 2 (I put it 100 rows below my spreadsheet to hide it)?

Excel 2007 :: Populate Another Cell Based On Selection In Dropdown List

Mar 7, 2013

[URL]....When I select a name in column B, it populates column C's dropdown with that name's list of units. When I select a unity type in column C, I'd like it to automatically populate column E in the same row with the value associated with that unit. The values associated with a particular unit can be found to the right of the sheet. So if in row 2 I select Blake in column B, then Unit 5 in column C, I'd like column E to be populated with 14.

Edit: using Excel 2007.

I attached stripped down version of the sheet which is small enough to post. None of the things I removed should affect the topic at hand. The full sheet is available at rapidshare.

Single Cell Value From Either Dropdown List Or Enter Manually Depending On Selection

Jun 22, 2014

I have a cell in my spreadsheet that I use to control the size of a column. I formatted the cell as a number and added data validation to make sure the number is greater than zero. Then I realized that I need to also allow for the option of auto sizing the column as well. This would require a data validation list type with something like True and False for the choices.

What I want to be able to do is have it both ways. I want a drop down list in that cell with the options Auto Size or Custom. If Auto Size is selected the cell value gets set to that. If Custom is selected I then want to be able to type in a number.

[URL]

Is there a way to setup a cell such that the value is either an item from the drop down list or, entered directly (depending on the list selection)?

I know I can do it with dependent lists but that would require two cells, one for the auto size mode (true/false) and the other for manual width value.

Excel 2007 :: How To Create Dropdown List But Options Reducing After Every Selection

Aug 17, 2011

Is it possible to do a drop down list that allow user to select pre-defined selections but everytime when a selection is chosen, the list reduced?

Example,

I have can choose Apple, Orange, Durian and Mango.

The drop down can only select these 4 fruits.

So there are 4 cells in Column A1, A2, A3, A4.

A1 selects Mango and then A2 will only have 3 options to choose. So until the last cell, he can only choose the last fruit left.

A1, A2, A3, A4 are not selecting in descending order thus it could be A3 selecting first, then A2 and then A4.

I have a workbook consisting of 5 sheets.

Sheet 1 is the master sheet, and (among many other columns) it has a series of yes/no columns. The yes/no options are the equivalent of:

"Are you in sheet 2?"
"Are you in sheet 3?"

When this is the Yes option, I would like the rest of the contents of the row to copy into sheet 2.

These need to remain linked, so if I change stuff in Sheet 1 I would like it to change everywhere.

Dependent Dropdown List - 3 Levels - Remove Common Entries From Selection - Show Relevant

Dec 4, 2013

I have scoured the net for the following and have not been able to find a solution. I have found variations but not something specific for the use needed here.

I have attached a file with sample data which has the following format.

Column 1 = vehicle model (in this example golf, jetta, but there will be over 100 choices)

Column 2 = vehicle package option for specified vehicle model (automatic transmission, manual transmission, automatic transmission with air conditioning, etc...)

Column 3 = vehicle colour available for vehicle package option

Please note that Column 2 values for 'golf' are different than values available for 'jetta' (in the sample data I have blocked out common values with the same colour for quick and easy identification)

Also please note that Column 3 values of colour options vary for each 'vehicle package option'.

The behaviour that would be ideal is to have 3 drop down menus. The first drop down menu will allow selection from column 1 and will show each model only one time and repeated values will not be shown. The second drop down menu will only show the options available based on the selection in the first drop down menu. Likewise, the third drop down menu will show the colour options available based on the selection in the second drop down menu.

Since my data will involve hundreds of unique values in column 1 with plenty more added over time, it seems that the format of the data and the way it is laid out in the attached sample is the easiest way to organize it. It is perhaps also the easiest way to include new data without a lot of reprogramming.

Copy / Paste From Cell In One Sheet To A Cell In Another Dependent On Selection Of Dropdown Menu

May 31, 2012

I have a workbook with two sheets. The idea behind the workbook is an Interview Guide to be used just before an Interview. For now my problem is this.

Sheet 2 "Competencies" is just data. It stores competencies with their associated definitions and questions.

Sheet 1 "Control Page" is the sheet where the questions will eventually go. The user (Interviewer) will input data on the first two pages which will include name of candidate, date of interview etc. but they will also select 5 Competencies from the already existing drop down menus on page two. From there as the selections are made I wish for a code to copy the corresponding definition on sheet 'Competencies" to cells lower down in sheet "Control page".

I don't see a place to upload a file as I have a sample of the sheet ready to go.
