I have a form that deals with 9 different parameters of human physiology. I can manually set each parameter to display "Normal" values, but then I use a Scroll Bar for each parameter that allows me to change from higher values to lower values and back again.
Is there coding for a Reset Button that will allow me to reset each Scroll Bar to "Normal' default values?
My spreadsheet has 459 rows; however, the vertical scroll bar ends at row 569738. I have attempted to delete all of the extra rows by holding SHIFT and CTRL, striking the down arrow then right-clicking on the left margin of highlighted row numbers and choosing delete. I have also done the same procedure except clicking clear all from the editing menu. None of these methods has removed the rows and enlarged the vertical scroll bar to a proportionate size in relation to the number of rows.
We have only just converted to Windows 7 from Windows 2000 and can't find the option to reset default colours. In Windows 2000 it is in: tools/options/colour.
I am planning to set a RESET(command button) button in my userform,so that user can delete or change all the input data which she/he have been entered, back to the default one that I predefined.
We have printer mailboxes setup for all of the employees and sometimes the print settings get saved in the excel files. This means that when another employee uses the file their prints get sent to the wrong mailbox. We have hundreds of files like this and it causes all kinds of problems with prints going to wrong mailboxes! Obviously their default print settings are all set to their own mailboxes.
Is there some way, using vba, to get an excel file to go back to using the user's default printer settings instead of the ones saved in it's file? (or get it to remove the printer settings saved in it's file). That way I could just make an application level open event to fix the problem! Either that or some way, in vba, of changing a user's storage box number for a specific printer.
My spreadsheet has 600rows and the vertical scroll bar ends at row 459424. I have attempted to delete all of the extra rows by holding SHIFT and CTRL, striking the down arrow then right-clicking on the left margin of highlighted row numbers and choosing delete.
But the unwanted rows are still there and my vertical scroll bar is not correlated to the 600 rows.
I'm not sure what I have done but one of my workbooks colour scheme has changed. When viewing the workbook cells are now grey and the lies are a lighter grey. When printing though it prnts as it would normally ie a white backgorund. It looks like the viewing colours have been reversed and I can not find out how to revery back to normal.
I have never written or used a macro before and I have a simple macro task to complete:
I have Column L (L4:L10) of seven scroll bars that move according to number changes in column F (F4:F10). I want to create a form control command button that resets the changes on the scroll bars according to static column of numbers in Column E (E4:E10).
I don't know if it matters, but I'll add that I plan to add a second button that does the same thing with a different column of data. I assume I'll simply replicate whatever procedure I use in the first button - is this okay?
Using Excel 2010 - I have a large workbook with multiple worksheets - been using it succesfully every day for a long time. All of a sudden every empty cell, and any cell not specifically formated in every worksheet has a default cell format of Time. Any new workbook created is OK.. defaults to 'General' - But, if I add a new blank worksheet to this particular workbook it defaults to 'Time' format. How did the default cell format for this workbook become set to 'Time' from 'General' and how do i fix it?
how to link axis properties with a scroll bar (two scroll bars).
The idea is to be able to modify the maximum and minimum values for the axis in case there are outliers which might cause problems by analyzing the chart.
The Guideline in the scroll bar should be set to its maximum (all the way up) by Default, meaning that if there chart behaves itself well there is no need to change its axis values.
The same applies for the minimum guideline of the scrollbar but it should be sent all the way down by Default.
I am using the toolbox/ properties method to restrict the scroll area in the sheets of my workbook. However, for some sheets when i keep the right hand arrow pressed, the screen will not scroll to the last column. (i.e. the screen display will not move with the selected cell box)
In the menu via TOOLS-->OPTIONS-->VIEW I am trying to remove the scroll bars from just one worksheet but when unticked, this option affects all of the worksheets in my workbook. Is there a way to just nail this selection down to one sheet via properties?
I have a workbook with 20 worksheets the first is a summary called Discount Set the 19 sheets with various names
The 19 sheets in column H4:H40 u enter a number greater than 0 which is the quanty required. This is used to calculate a price on which ever row it is entered
the selection must only affect numbers as there are rows that are just shading and they contain no data .
So u could enter quanties on serval rows of different sheets to get a total price displayed in the Discount set
What I want to do is have button on the Discount Set which will clear any quantity that does not equal 0 back to 0 in column H which will reset the total 0.00
I have Record ID on Column A: Auto Increment I have a vendor Name on Column B: Vendor 1, Vendor 2, Vendor 3 I have a Code on Column C, Code A, Code B
What I want to happen is the Counter to count +1 each time. it sees the same vendor, same code and only to count to 4. As soon as it counts to 4; the next counter should be 0 (Zero).
Col A Col B Col C Col D ======= ====== ===== ======= Record ID Vendor Code Counter ======= ====== ===== ======= 1 Vendor 1 Code A 1 2 Vendor 1 Code A 2 3 Vendor 1 Code A 3 4 Vendor 2 Code B 1 5 Vendor 1 Code A 4 6 Vendor 1 Code A 0 8 Vendor 2 Code B 2 9 Vendor 2 Code B 3 10 Vendor 1 Code B 4 12 Vendor 1 Code A 1 13 Vendor 1 Code A 2 14 Vendor 1 Code A 3 15 Vendor 2 Code B 0
I know that a variable of string type is equal to "" before it's assigned a value. So I reset the value of strings to empty (i.e. "") when I want them clear of a value. I also know that variables of Variant Type are equal to NULL when they are unassigned so I reset them to NULL when I want to clear them of a value.
But what about a Long? When you declare a variable of Long Type or Int Type or Double Type, what is it's inital value when empty and unassigned. I assume it's not 0 since 0 is an actual number.
I want to reset my lng variable and clear it of a value. So I'm wondering what should I set to... How can i do this?
I have a textbox that pulls language using the following code:
Code: Private Sub TextBox1_Enter() TextBox1.Value = Sheets("Language").Range("B2").Value 'places the value of the cell into the textbox
[Code]....
Randomly and sporadically, when working in the textbox, the form seems to reset. By reset, I mean that the language resets to what was there originally.
In the below mentioned query, i want to reset the range according to the find result. Here the range I6 need to change with the active cell with a row down
When I execute a macro, and if during the macro execution I press the "Esc" key, the execution stops and I get a Microsoft Visual Basic window with the message that code execution has been interrupted with buttons to Continue, End, Debug and Help. If I click the "End" button, the window closes and Excel is at rest - which seems to be some sort of Reset process.
I have a need to execute that process while Excel is at rest.
i have cells A1 to A10 filled with numbers i have cells B1 to B10 blank what i need to do is when something is typed in cell B1 - A1 to A5 are reset to zero and when i type something in cell B2 - A2 to A6 reset to zero.
I have tried to do this as a range ie
A1- A10 have numbers in B1 - B10 copy these numbers and reset if anything is typed in C1 with this formula =IF(C1:C5="",A1,"0") what it should do is reset B1 to zero if anything is typed in C1-C5 but only when something is typed in C1 does this work ..
I am not experienced at all with Excel, here is my problem: In column "A": I have 288 rows and has nothing but numbers in them. Row 1 is the lowest number, row 288 is the highest number. In each row the numbers typically increase; every once in a while the numbers may stay the same, but the number will never be lower. The numbers range from 0 through 600,000.
What I want to do is have column "B" follow column "A" until the cell total reaches 12000. The next cell in column "B" would then reset and start all over from "0". I want it to keep on reseting every 12000 counts. Another potential problem is that a majority of the time the cell value will not be an even 12000, 24000, 36000 etc. They may be more like A40: 11742 A41: 13201 etc.
I'm trying to scroll down my work sheet but it's not letting me. Every time I move the scroll bar down the page it just keeps showing me the same part of the sheet eg cells 1-30 when I want to see all the way down to the bottom. I have some 20,000 lines I need to scroll through but I can't see all of them. To add to this, I keep having lines hide between other lines so theres a big gap like going from line 120 to line 4000 and I have to manually unhide them every time to see them.
I have a spreadsheet with some scripting that automatically emails the report to whoever is on the sheet. I'm not sure what kind of scripting it is. I think my boss found it somewhere.
Whenever I scroll either down or up, the first 3 rows disappear and I'm not able to scroll back up. The scrollbar shows that I'm not at the top, but it won't let me go back up. The first 3 rows contain the button to send the email. If I close out without saving and open it again, its fine, until I scroll up or down.
I've been trying to set the scroll bar min/max/small change to a decimal (percentage value) within the properties, obviously this does not work.
Since users can enter a value in the link cell for the scroll bar, how can I modify the current min/max/small change via macros so the scroll bar will show a min on 1%, small change of 0.25% and max of 25%?
I use a very simple textbox in a userform for sequential output only (it displays status messages of a long program run). The box nicely scrolls vertically up the lines but only till the userform has the focus (i.e. it is the actual selected window). But when I change the focus to othe window - scrolling immediatelly stops. Unfortunatly when I activate a new Excel sheet in the background program, the userform lost the focus and scroll is stopping.
Has anybody a solution for it? I have already tried positioning the textbox with sellength/selstart but I was unable to start the scrolling again from the proper position. I know that VB has the scrolltocaret() funcion but it is missing in VBA.
I have a document that is rather simple but has 32,984 Rows.
What I would like to do is program the sheet so if I enter a six (6) digit employee number in A2 (A1 is a header) then all the rows would scoll up and stop just below A2 in other words strop at row 3, if this makles any sense,
Also what I woudl like to do is the same option in A2 and have the same effect but here the user would have to enter only the first 3 characters of a name and then the system would scroll through all the options and start listing them as above starting at row 3.
The end result for both options would be to highlight the desired sorted rows..............
