I'm right now trying to find a way to hide a tab sheet if a cell in another sheet equals a certain value. I cant seem to find the macros for this?
Basically,
If Sheet1 cell A1 = "No" then hide Sheet 2
can a macro hide a worksheet if a cell in the sheet that I want hidden has a certain value?

how do I do that in VBA? A lot of forums talk about a specific value but none on non specific values.
I have about 100 products and each has its own sheet that I fill with data. Once I have finished with a sheet I rename it and create a copy and then hide the original and delete the entered data from before and start over.
Is there a way I can make it so when I hide a sheet it will automatically create a copy and delete a specific range?
I have a userform which clones the latest sheet and produces copy of it on the next sheet. The first sheet they will be cloning is the sheet called 'template', I however want this to be hidden since I do not want anybody to modify a sheet which basically serves purpose of a template. And once cloned, it is no longer needed.
On the click of the command button, the macro will create sheet1 taking the info from sheet named 'Template' in the same workbook . And now on the next click of the command button, Sheet 2 is created taking the info from sheet1 and Sheet 3 is created taking the info from Sheet 2 and so on. Here is what I currently have, so how can i modify it in order for my scnerio to work?

For simplicity, when cell A1 on Sheet 1 is greater than or equal to 25,000, I want Sheet 2 and 3 to be shown (they will already have been hidden). When A1 on Sheet 1 changes to less that 25,000, I want only Sheet 4 and 5 to be shown. I want to be able to change the number back and forth in A1 so only Sheets 2 and 3 show when A1 is >= 25,000, and only Sheets 3 and 4 to be shown then A1 < 25,000. I can't seem to find how to hide sheets based on a cell changing. I can only find how to permanently hide sheets.

I want to set up a few workbooks with 11 sheets. Sheet 1 will in effect be an index, with True or False values in say cells D5:D14. The True/False values will be generated by form control check boxes in some of the workbooks and by IF(TODAY()>xxxx formulas or similar in other workbooks.

In Project Overview column K is different project numbers and what i need the code to do is when this number is pressed it has to go to Projects Detailed and search for this number in column AV and hide the lines that does not correspond with the number that has been double clicked.
In project overview you should only be able to press the numbers from row 9 and down and in Projects Detailed the numbers in column AV also starts in row 9. Some of the cells in column AV are empty and these should also be hidden.

The next step which I am having issues with is hiding the sheets. I want all sheets in the workbook to be hidden except for the master. I only want the other sheets to be visble if the user inputs a name on the master sheet.
So if the cell contents on the master sheet, say "B9", is blank, the sheet in the workbook that corresponds to that cell will remain hidden. If the user inputs anything, say "Sheet1", in cell "B9" on the master sheet, I want that sheet to become unhidden and to be named "Sheet1"
I have a sheet, call it summary, that I need filled out if a value on it in A1 is not 0. Summary is linked to other sheets and inputs on those other sheets makes A1 change. So what I am looking for is a way to make summary appear if the value of A1 <> 0. If A1 goes back to 0 I need summary to hide itself again.

This is activated by using a button on the BCDashbd Page. I want it to hide the BCDashboard sheet and Unhide the Main DshBd Sheet. Currently it opens the Main Dshbd sheet but does not hide the BCDshboard Sheet?

I'm trying to protect a sheet so that it can be unhidden only if you know the password.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have two Sheets, first is Service Data, the second is Log Sheet. In the Service Data sheet I have a column of serial numbers in column A. I also have a column of serial numbers in the Log Sheet, column A.
I'm looking for a conditional format whereas I enter numbers into column A on the Log sheet it will auto highlight the cell if I duplicate a serial number from row A in the Service Data sheet. I would like it to highlight the Duplicated number on the Log sheet. I know new versions of excel make it easier to do this but unfortunately I have Excel 2003.
I have 2 workbooks in Excel 2010, each contain just 1 sheet. (see attached) I need to compare on sheet 1, cell D1 and column A:A (this column will be much longer), with the data in columns C:C & A:A on sheet 2, if a corresponding match is found, the data contained in column D on the same row on sheet 2 is written to the cell with the matching data in sheet 1.

I was wondering if there was any way to do a cell format so that if I type in a word in sheet1 say "mike" on sheet2 the word "mike" cell would be highlighted? or if there is a formula you could use to do that.
