Return Each Entry For The Same Customer Into The Automated Invoice

I have a set of data which is the total monthly sales whereby each customer has several entries.

I have created an automated invoice through a vlookup system, yet i encounter the problem that i need to return each entry for the same customer into the automated invoice. But my vlookup will only return one entry for each customer as it is looking up the customer code and just brings back the first one it encounters, is there any way to bring back all entries for each client?

Automated Data Entry / Transaction Recording?

I have it all set up already with macros and formulas and such. My next step is to record the sales data ( selected cells ) from the invoice to a seperate sheet I call Cashup. The idea being to record all relevant sales data for the day/trading session on one sheet so the manager can cash up the till run by 2-4 different people during the day. Its targeting a small family run business so security isn't currently the main concern although for future proofing I'm trying to build that in as far as possible. Long story short: What would be a good method for recording each successive sale's data from the same page each time the Finish button is hit , to a seperate sheet in a log format? Currently I have these problems:

1:The operation should record into the next open row on the Cashup sheet and not overwrite the previous record.

2:The record must ignore all formulas and record only the values in the cells . Currently a normal copy and paste results in " N/A" recorded in the cells in the Cashup screen.....( probably since all the data that needs recording is formula generated to begin with )

Changing Column References On 1 Sheet For Automated Entry

I have formulas in wksheet #1 going down 20 columns (they are all the same formulas). On wksheet #2, I need to understand how to switch all column references in only one column to another (from wksheet #1) to show different sums. Clear as mud? The way I want to do this is by having one cell on wksheet #2 where I change a number from 1 to 20. This in essence would be the column heading in wksheet #1.

Example:
*There are more formulas but for the purpose here I'll use 3 for each Wksheet

In wksheet #1 I have
C24 is =SUM(C14*C15,C16*C17,C18*C19,C20*C21,C22*C23)*12
C55 is =IF(B66=0,"",C7/B66)
C56 is =IF(C11=0,"",C7/C11)

Automated Entry In Cell Instead Of Manual (without Causing Circular Reference)

I need to make cell A1 = cell D1.

Cell A1 is calculated by entering a number in cell E1[COLOR=blue ! important][COLOR=blue ! important][/COLOR][/COLOR]. Due to the various formulas used, when cell E1 goes up, the value in cell A1 goes down (and vice-versa - When E1 goes down, value in A1 goes up). Cell D1 is calculated using formulas UNASSOCIATED with A1 or E1.

I can't enter a formula for cell E1 to do the calculating due to the circular reference created.

I need some type of code that will automatically figure out what number needs to be in cell E1 to make cell A1 equal Cell D1 without creating the circular reference.

Customer Service Data Entry Form

Have a small data base with customer details and comments. I would like a form to sit over that so that people on phones can enter customer # and check info and add further comments etc. for a specific customer. Before I try and design a form is there any templates for this type of thing. Have done a Google and Ozgrid search, but I maybe asking the incorrect names for the procedure.

Deleting Entire Customer Entry If One Cell Is Blank?

I have a large database of customers. I would like to edit this database so that it only lists those customers that have an email address listed in that particular column. I can then save that as a separate list to upload to my marketing campaign.

Is there an easier way than just deleting entire rows at a time? About a 2,000 name list with maybe 30% having email addresses.

I am trying to do a vlookup to 1 sheet based on customer number and return price. If no customer number than I want to do a vlookup based on dunnage number to return the price. This is what I have for a formula but it never returns a value if one is found in the first lookup.

Saving An Invoice Number When Reopening An Invoice

I have an Excel Invoice Template, saved as a template.

I have code that generates a new invoice number each time the template is opened in VBA Editor. The auto numbering system works great! However.... (here comes the sad part)

After I enter all the data I need on the invoice, I want to save a copy of the invoice in a different file folder, which I can no problem. The problem is, if I re-open the saved invoice, we will call it Invoice #100, excel asks me if I want to update, if I say either yes or no, the invoice number will change to Invoice #101. I'm sure you can see how this can cause a major problem if we need to compare information later on, finding the correct invoice would be almost impossible as it would not match the customers invoice number.

What I need to know is:

Is there code I can add to the existing code, to stop the increment on a saved invoice, but not on the original template?

Converting Uneven Rows Of Data Per Customer Into 1 Row Of Data Per Customer

I have a list of Spid numbers and a service category identifying if it is a Water Spid or a Waste spid.

The Spid is split into 2 parts. The Core is the identifier and the Category states if it is a Water or a Waste spid.

If the 1st digit in the Category is a 1 = Water.

If the 1st digit in the Category is a 2 = Waste.

There may only be a water spid or a property may have a water and waste spid.

What I want to do is have the information on 1 row rather than 2 rows

I have data in this format

SPID
Core
Category
Service Category

100000000151
100000000
151
1

[code].....

and I need to convert it into this format.

Core spid
Water
Waste

100000020101
100000020251

I have tried IF(lookup) and it works for the 1st row but I can't get it to look at the 2nd row.My data consists of 400,000 plus rows

Find Last Entry In Row And Return Column Header?

I've got a spreadsheet with various amounts in cells A3:L5. I want to find the last non-blank entry in each row but only where the entry is in a column headed "Guaranteed PRB" (found in row 1). Then I want it to return the column header title found in row 2, which is a date.

I've attached a sample of the spreadsheet with the expected answer in column M.

I've got as far as formula:

=LOOKUP(2,1/(a3:l3<>""),$a$2:$l$2)

how to also make it look at row 1's headers too.

Return Column Header Name For First Entry On Each Row Greater Than Zero

I'm currently using the formula

=IFERROR(INDEX(startmonthsp,MATCH(TRUE,INDEX(ISNUMBER(E2:AR2),0),0)),"").

The startmonthsp name refers to the months across the top of my pivot table. This formula works but I now need one small change. If the value in the columns are zero or less then I do not want the formula to return that column header (bypass it until it gets a positive value above zero).

I've a long list of value with indicator which I need to compare with an entry after which it need to return a text indicator. I'm using IF and MATCH function.

Following is the code I use:

Formula Return The Address Of The Last Numerical Entry

It's a spreadsheet of about 300 rows, each row corresponding to a certain department. each row is filled with various data, both text and numerical, including various different scores and averages. the columns include daily scores and weekly averages. I want to be able to create a new column that will calculate the time (in days or weeks) since the last score/average was entered.

1. a formula that will return the address of the last numerical entry in a given row. (I've got a MATCH formula that will do this, although it doesn't let me specify different cells or ranges, only the entire row)

2. whichever cell is returned will give the date instead of the value. (for example, if the last value entered is in $F$63, and Column F is headed 23/11/09, then the formula will give the date)

3. then finally, calculate the time between that date and the present time

I've tried various different things, both in normal Excel and the VBA editor, and I'm beginning to think maybe this isn't even possible.

Trying to write a formula that looks for the first number in the same row, then returns the value in that column in a different row. In the example included, cell A-7 should contain the formula. Within row 7, determine the column where the first number is listed (column D in this case), then return the value listed in row 3 of that column ('C' in this case).

I've tried Lookup, Index, and Match functions, but can't seem to get the right combination.

Return Text From Left-hand Side Of Ragged Array Where Entry Found

I've been given a spreadsheet that is poorly constructed but I'm not allowed to alter.

The layout is:
Box Name Box Date ID1 ID2 ID3 ....
Where there is not a fixed number of IDs in each box
(There are five different sheets so I'll have some fun concatenating results)

Given a list of IDs I need to return the box name and box date that the ID's file sits in. The spreadsheet has blanks everywhere and the numbers contained in rows are non-consecutive and smaller values can appear later in a column than larger ones.

I think I need some combination of index, offset and maybe sumproduct? TBH, I avoid sumproducts like the plague, preferring to utilise sumifs and dynamic named ranges since this improves clarity so I'm basically a newb at them.

Any skeleton framework that you think would work to return the text values for the LHS where the number could be anywhere? Once I can see a rough example I should be able to get to grips with the logic and wrangle it into the necessary solution.

I have a spreadsheet of several thousand named items (in column B) with values associated with them in column A). The "name" field is a string of several alternative names for the item.

I have a list of ~50 items that I am trying to find the values for. Each uses one of the alternate names.

What I want is a function that will return the associated value in column A when one of my shortlist names is found.

For example, my big spreadsheet looks like:

AB
1dallas, DFW. 12345
2Atlanta, ATL, 23456
3Boston, BOS, 34567
4Chicago, CHI, 45678
5Los Angles, LA, LAX, 56789

And my list looks like

I want the output to look something like:

Check If Any Entry In List Older Than 7 Days - Delete Second Double Entry?

I am having a sheet where I keep track of when online surveys have been sent to users. The users enail address (column K) may be on the list for several times, but I need to make sure that there is at least a 7 days pause between sending the first mail and the second, depending on the visit date (column G).If there are less than 7 days between two entries with the same email address, the user is not qualified for taking another survey.

I was thinking to write an IF formula which returns either 1 or 0 and then let conditional formatting highlight and HIDE the row via a VBA loop.

Tranferring Variable Entry From Form Entry To Macro

I used a form with textboxes for data input for one of my vb macros. Currently I have the private sub from the form transfer those entries to a remote cell on the spreadsheet, (like in column "HZ"), so that the macro that will actually utilize them can retrieve them. Is there a way to pass that data directly from what is entered in the form in the textboxes to the macro that will actually use them?

Automated Grouping Using VB

I have a large excel sheet that will take a lot of time grouping it manually, so I was wondering if there was some way somebody could help me out with creating a code in VB to automate this grouping for me. I have a monthly report that I get with lab tests and amounts ordered. (I will copy a section for you to see). The Director wants it to be compiled into an easy to read, 1 test with totals. The way i get the data is broken down by site (we have 5). So, i may have between 1-5 rows of the same test with a total for each. I want to set up a Macro/Script that would go through the report and automatically add the same test codes together. My long term goal is to have it pull the Test Number, Test Name and Total Count into a separate worksheet, with the Total Count being the count of all the same tests.

I m trying to achieve is generating ref numbers automatically.

I have attached an example.

In Cell A if the user choose yes it gives a ref number. The trouble im having is that say in cell A5 a Yes is choosen at a later date, it will throw the numbers out of order and the ref numbers get mixed up, there any way of stopping this from happening or any function that prevents this from happening

Trying To Build Automated Schedule?

I have been trying to create a macro that would create a schedule for me based on date and a product type. In columns K-N I have an IF statement that tells when a shipment would need to arrive in a row that corresponds with a date (column A is 1/1/2015 - 12/31/2015). On the next page I would like to generate a schedule that lists the dates that all of the products are needed in chronological order. I've tried to use custom functions like finding the nth_occurence but it just gets way too messy with so many shipments.

Automated User Logging

I keep a spreadsheet with the 50 or so wireless phones in our "lab". When someone checks them out, the rules are that they change the cell under Available to "NO" and add their user ID. When they return the device, they change the Available cell back to "YES". What I want is a log of who checked out the device, and when... which would be kept in "sheet 2".

I attached a small spreadsheet with the same columns and information you would see in the regular spread sheet. Sorry, I would rather have put it here, but I couldn't figure out how to do that.

The spreadsheet has code which updates the "Counter" when someone checks out a device. Many thanks to the "Rocket Scientist" who helped me with that.

Automated Web Query And Parsing

I am attempting to automatically (once a week) pull down the data from this site (http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/esc/oe/plan...bidsum_csv.php) which is posted in a csv and parse it. While this may seem to be a simple process, the people who posted the CSV did not take into account that there are dollar values in the data in the millions and billions. As a result, a normal comma parse does not work since it splits the values.
