Calculate Number Of Days Between Invoice And Today Date
Feb 21, 2014
I'm trying to create a new column which calculates the number of days from the today's date to the due date of an invoice. Also a Column that an invoice is/was overdue.
Column A - Clerk inputs date that invoice was received
Column B - Clerk inputs the date that the bill was paid
Column C - Auto populates the due date of the invoice (20 days after the invoice is received)
Column D - I want a number of days to auto populate based on today's date that will show how many days we have to pay the bill. Example: today is 2/19/2014, bill is due 2/22/2014 (Column C), column D should read 3 (I would prefer is the number is black for "we have days left to pay", red for "we're behind")
*Extra bonus for Column D, if the column goes blank after a date is entered into Column B* - but not necessary
Column E - I would like if the date the bill was paid (Column B) is greater than the date the invoice is due (Column C) to show "Overdue" in the cell.
I need to calculate on a spreadsheet the number of days between a specific date and the date the spread sheet is opened. I need to know the number of days a merchandise has been stored.
I need a formula that will calculate the number of days from a date entered into cell A1 to today's date. Whether it's before or after todays date. Example:
I am trying to get the results of the number of days between today and a future date. I am using ="cell containing futuredate"-today() and it gets me the correct number of days. The problem comes in when I have yet to populate the future dates. I am getting -39991 (numeric value between today and jan 01 01) and because I am also using conditional formatting this is even more of a problem. Is there a way get excel to display nothing if it is a negative number? or to give a specified resut if the number becomes negative such as Expired or something of that nature?
I want to calculate the end date of my German courses. This is how it works:
A course consists of 60 LU*. The course can occur i. e. three times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In each day the course lasts 2 LU, which means 6 LU each week. There is no course on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and on holidays. Therefore this type of course that begins on 18-Nov-2013 will end on 03-Feb-2014.
Another course which occurs Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and respectively has 2 LU on Tuesday, 2 LU on Thursday and 3 LU on Saturday and starts on 03-Dec-2013 will end on 06-Feb-2014.
Therefore I want to create a worksheet where I set the start date, choose the days and respectively the LU amount on those days. The end date shall be calculated according to these criteria.
The workday function on excel cannot do this and I do not have any programming skills to work with VBA.
I have two columns of dates, leave start and end dates (when people start leave i.e. annual leave). Would need to introduce column(s) to calculate how many days fell within the month including the end date and excludes weekends.
For example, if the staff on leave from 31st March to 6 April, i need to show that the number of leave taken as 1 day in March and 4 days in April.
There are dates in column C and I need to count how many days are coming due within 90 days of each date based on the today() function but do not exceed the 90 days.
Need to calculate the number of days in December between two dates 11/20/2013 and 1/20/2014, how many days are in december? a formula that can calculate this?
I need to have a cell with a date in it then the next cell needs a formula to caluclate how many days it has been since that date???? I'm a real novice with excel.
I have a worksheet that has a sent date and expected delivery date I need create a macro that will alert me if today's date is within 5 days of expected delivery date.
I am looking to have a dropdown list (1-30 days) to add the selected number of days to today's date. The number selected in cell B2 adds that number of days to today's date in C2.
I need a function to work out what the date will be 45 WORKING days after today(), this function needs to exclude Saturdays, Sundays and any Public Holidays i.e. there could be either 10 or 12 weekend days added into the calculation depending on when today() is plus any additional Public Holidays.
I am using Excel 2003 although it will need to work in Excel 2010 shortly.
I have spent too many hours Googling and trial with mostly error in attempting this. I formatted the very first cell A1 for today's date =TODAY(); this is also dirrectly above the column with all the dates in it. I just want an entire row's contents to turn red if it is 15 days old or older. This =$A1<TODAY()-15 somewhat works, but it only turns the date cell red, not the whole row. It also makes blank cells turns red, which I would like to remain blank (another formula is needed I imagine).
The range B7:K7 contains columns of "dates" and "characters" like "A", "B" and "C" . Range D2 = Today's date. If Range C7 is blank then it should calculate Today's date minus Column B7 (i.e D2-B7) so on:
B7 = "01-Apr-2009", C7 = "02-Apr-2009", D=7 = Status as "(A)" B7 = Submitted Date, C7 = Received Date, D7 = Status Difference Between Today's Date and "B7" date is required if "C7" is Blank date. Otherwise it should search next group (E, F)
I have a spreadsheet and every row has an incident date. What I would like to do is calculate which relative month it is compared with today's date. I know how to show if it is in the current month, but what I want is something like the following:
Today's date is 9 July 13
Row 1 date = 9 June 13, hence calculation = -1 Row 2 date = 17 May 13, hence calculation = -2 Row 3 date = 29 Jan 13, hence calculation = -6 etc
Some sort of month to month comparison resulting in an integer.
I need cell (O4) to display days overdue or days remaining on an assigned task based on subtracting due date (M4) from todays date, but only perform days subtraction function if (M4) is not blank and only if task complete cell (N4) is less than 100.
Have the conditional blank cell figured out, but nesting another condition for the less than 100 complete cell. So in other words, I don't want cell (O4) to subtract days and display any error, irrelevant data if there is not any due date entered or the task is entered as complete...
How to create a spreadsheet with what I think will be a very simple formula?
If date in B2 - date in A2 is 1 or less days, put a 1 in cell C2. If date in B2 - date in A2 is 7 or less days but more than 1, put a 2 in cell C2. If date in B2 - date in A2 is 30 or less days but more than 7, put a 3 in cell C2. If date in B2 - date in A2 is 90 or less days but more than 30, put a 4 in cell C2. If date in B2 - date in A2 is 91 days or more, put a 5 in cell C2.
OR
Another, maybe simpler, way of saying it is:
If date in B2 - date in A2 is 1 or less days, put a 1 in cell C2. If date in B2 - date in A2 is 2-7 days, put a 2 in cell C2. If date in B2 - date in A2 is 8-30 days, put a 3 in cell C2. If date in B2 - date in A2 is 31-90 days, put a 4 in cell C2. If date in B2 - date in A2 is 91 days or more, put a 5 in cell C2.
I have an Excel Invoice Template, saved as a template.
I have code that generates a new invoice number each time the template is opened in VBA Editor. The auto numbering system works great! However.... (here comes the sad part)
After I enter all the data I need on the invoice, I want to save a copy of the invoice in a different file folder, which I can no problem. The problem is, if I re-open the saved invoice, we will call it Invoice #100, excel asks me if I want to update, if I say either yes or no, the invoice number will change to Invoice #101. I'm sure you can see how this can cause a major problem if we need to compare information later on, finding the correct invoice would be almost impossible as it would not match the customers invoice number.
What I need to know is:
Is there code I can add to the existing code, to stop the increment on a saved invoice, but not on the original template?
I have column B with a heading "Days Remaining" and column L with a heading "Deadline". starting with row 5, I need to be able to enter a date in L5 and see the days I have left, from that day untill today, on B5. I need to then be able to enter a date into L6 and see a result in B6 and on and on. Then I need to be able to insert or delete a column and have the formulas still work in the columns with the heading "Days Remaining" and "Deadline"
is it possible to display the week number of todays date (today()) from a physically entered start date (which would obviously be week one), the start date would be november 4th 2013.
I am trying to calculate the number of days between two dates where the arrival date is in b5 and the departure date is in c5 for each month. I have been using the following formula =IF($C5="","",MAX(0,MIN(L$1,$C5)-MAX(K$1,$B5))) but when the stay is a full year it is giving me 365 in a single column. I think maybe I need to add in the number of days in the month but not sure how to do it.
Our company has been taken over by new mgt (Y co) on 1st Nov 2012 from old mgt (X co). Y co has the policy of providing employees with EOS benefits as mentioned below:
1st 5 yrs - 1 month salary per year 5-10 yrs - 1.5 month salary per year +10 yrs - 2 months salary per year
But for deciding the slab, total period of service is considered. The below table provides the calculation of days as on 31st Dec 2012 based on different joining dates which I need to fix by way of formula.
Name Hire date Salary Total service (days) X co Y Co 1st 5 yrs 5-10 yrs +10 yrs
I have 2 dates a Start Date and an End Date. I need to calculate the number of days from Start to End over eight years with each of the eight years in its own column.
I have a start date formatted as dd/mm/yyyy in cell A5 I have an end date formatted as dd/mm/yyyy in cell E5
In cell F5 I would like the result of the number of days between E5-A5 (Excluding weekends) In cell G5 I would like the total number of days in the range F5:F25 In cell H5 I would like the total number of working days from A5 to Today
I am using the following formula to get the result in F5 etc =SUM(INT((WEEKDAY(A5-{2,3,4,5,6})+E5-A5)/7)) I have copied this down and in the blank cells I get #NUM!
In cell F? were there is no date entered in cell E? I get a minus number (which I can hide using conditional formatting), but the minus number obviously has an affect on the result in G5, as cell G5 gives me #NUM! instead of the result for the current numbers in row F
