Calling Value From Sheet And Send It Back In Concatenate Function

how to properly write this kind of commands!
v_1 = Sheets("WB_Input").Cells(i, 2) 'It's gonna be a numeric value like 10
v_2 = "E"
v_3 = Sheets("WB_Input").Cells(i, j) 'It's gonna be a numeric value like 12
Sheets("WB_Output").Cells(i, j) = "=CONCATENATE(" & v_1 & "," & v_2 & "," & v_3 & ")"
Thing is once I look at the WB_Output Sheet what I see is an error and the cell shows this: =Concatenate(10,E,12)
So logically the problem is that I need to make it show up as =Concatenate("10","E","12")
Btw, I can't just put v_1 & v_2 & v_3, cause Excel understands "E" as exponential!

I have a macro running in a workbook that gathers some data (a date, a string and a few arrays). Towards the end of this macro, I need it to open another workbook and run a macro that sits in this other workbook, using the data from the first workbook. I then need it to return some results (several integers) back to the first macro to be pasted into the first workbook.
I gather that I can't use 'Call' as the second macro is in another workbook.
I've found that I can use Application.Run but I'm unsure how to carry variables back and forth using this.
How to move the variables between macros / workbooks using the Application.Run option, or maybe another way of doing things?

I am using Excel to fill in information for W-9 tax documents. I have formulas on one sheet that pull from other sheets where the numbers for the form are entered. Currently we have to put the actual form in the printer. I'd like to embed the form into excel so that the numbers pulled by the formulas and the form itself all print. The problem I'm having is I can not get the form to sit in the background. The cells are hidden behind the form and do not show up when printing.

I have been trying to use the concatenate function to join some text strings to a cell on a different sheet - From an input sheet -Sheet 1 named Input, to a Notification Form (Sheet 2). Although the Function Argument display tells me that it will display the result I want it actually displays just the formula. It's a very simple thing
Address 1 10 Downing Street
Address 2 Westminster
Address 3 London
Postcode SW1A 1AA
I want displayed as: 10 Downing Street, Westminster, London, SW1A 1AA in a single merged cell. All I am getting on the Form is =concatenate(Input!c25," ",Input!c26," "Input!c27," "Input!c28). I feel sure that it is a very easy solution but I can't arrive at it!!

I have a function
VB:
Function f1(Matrix As Range)
'Does something and returns f1 = a double
End Function
And a second function which defines and constructs a matrix of doubles to use as an argument in f1 to return a double:
VB:
Function f2(dD As Double)

Redim MatrixRed(1 To dD, 1 To 10)

I get an output error (#VALUE). I think it has something to do with MatrixRed not being a range anymore?

I guess I just don't understand the basics of calling a function. I have the following function in a standard module:
Function CleanUp(ws As Worksheets)
ws. Range("A2:P100").ClearContents
End Function
I have this code in a worksheet module:
Sub Trying_to_call_a_function()
CleanUp (ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("Month End"))
End Sub
But when I run the routine that calls the "CleanUp" function, I get the message: "Object doesn't support this property or method." I have tried changing the Function to this: CleanUp (ws as Worksheet) [instead of (ws as WorksheetS)]. Yet, this does not change anything.

I need to extract the filename “My Excel File” from Worksheets(“Sheet1”).Range(“A1”), whose value = C:Documents and Settingsuser1DesktopMy Excel File
I found on Chip Pearson’s site a Function TrimToChar which, using SearchFromRight and a TrimChar of “” will trim OFF the filename “My Excel File”, leaving the Path.
But, I think I could use his function to tell me the number of characters in the Path and then use that to extract the remaining characters from the total character length (Mid Function)
Problem is, I don’t have a clue how to call a Function in VBA to work on Worksheets(“Sheet1”).Range(“A1”). How do you set the InputText , TrimChar, & SearchFromRight?????
(eventually, this will be in a loop, where I extract the filename from a Dynamic Named Range (list) in Column A)

I have created a custom Function in excel. I would like to create a custom button so I can run this funtion with a Click of a button unstead of typing it in or clicking on the insert function button. I am not sure if this is possible to have VB call a custom function. Below is my VB for the Custom Function. I basically want the custom button to open the formula in excel.

I have an add-in that has one function in it. We plan on adding more, but not until we figure out what's happening. The one function is a Select- Case statement...send the function an alpha code and it returns a numeric account number based on the alpha. About 20 "cases" in total. The add-in loads fine and the function works fine from a spreadsheet cell. However, we're getting differing results when we try to access the function from VBA code. I've been able to duplicate this several times on three different computers on our network.
The VBA code will work fine, several times and then on the 4th or 5th attempt it will cause Excel to crash ==> "Microsoft Office Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." If I " recover" the crashed file, comment out the line to call the function, run the program again it works. Then I can un-comment the line, re-run the program and it works fine again for 4 or 5 more attempts. I've tried running the Repair tool already. I've also copied the code out of the spreadsheet and started a new file. The same errors occur...works 4 or 5 times and then crashes the program. The add-in and the spreadsheet exists on networked drives.

I have a User Defined Function (for finding the next minimum value in a range) that is not working for nonconcurrent ranges when called from within a worksheet. It returns #VALUE!
This works: =nextmin(A11:A17)
This does not work: =nextmin(D13,E13,F13,F16)
However calling the function from within vba works:

the macro works fine until it executes the paste values. At that point, the macro jumps to the "CountThem" function which is located in another workbook. The data that I am copy/pasting is in no way connected to any cells that are using that function. Although, other values in the workbook are passed down from data that uses that function.
I am still in the dark ages using Excel 2000.

I am creating a set of lists, each on a different sheet. I want to have the first sheet as a sort of "Title Page" with basic information from the others. Is it possible to create a link of some types so that I could click on "Magazines" for example and go to the sheet called Magazines, or "Books" and go to the sheet called books. The latter would be very handy as this workbook has around 30 sheets in it, which is a pain to look through to find the right one.

I'm trying to call a form I've created when the Print command is run (so when someone prints the document, the document number gets incremented.
I believe I have the command buttons setup correctly, as they aren't giving me any errors in the code, but when I do click the print button, the form isn't popping up. Could anyone give me a hint as to the direction to take?

Can a Function give two or more output variables. e.g.

this will give back Y as a result. But if I want to get 2 or more output variables (let's say I need to get also B into sub) from one function, how should I do that?
I need this because function works with large matrix and I want to extract some values appeared in between.

I have data in cells A1:A50. I want to combine all of them into cell A51. I know that I can achieve that by using =concatenate(A1,A2,A3,A4,........,A50) or =A1&A2&A3&A4&......&A50 but it would be very tiring to click on each cell. Just imagine if the data in cells A1:A1000? function that work like say =combine(A1:A50).

I want a report header to be similar to: REPORT AS OF 2/23/10. If I use the TODAY() function by itself, I get the date; 2/23/10. But when I concatenate it with the text "REPORT AS OF " & TODAY()" I get REPORT AS OF 40232". How do I preserve the date format when I concatenate it with text?

I am trying to concatenate the text of a few cells in a specific worksheet. I'm not wanting to use the STRING & STRING type code because I already had a Concatenate formula nested with an index formula and needed to have this formula copied to a certain RANGE, Where the RANGE was specified by a Variable. I have a time in cell C10 in hh:mm format, in cell D10 I want to add the text "DFL" in front of the time, remove the ":" and add "HRS." at the end of it. For example "DFL0715HRS." I have been able to get the following formula to work:
=CONCATENATE("DFL",(TEXT(C10,"hhmm")),"HRS.")
However sometimes it may not be a time, it could also be "Rest Day" in cell C10, if it says "Rest Day" I need it to add the text "DFL" in front as before and then change "Rest Day" to "RDFLEXI." For example "DFLRDFLEXI." I have been able to get the following formula to work but only if it is "Rest Day", if it is a time such as 07:15 it doesn't work.
It shows "DFL07157R0.": =CONCATENATE("DFL",IF(C10="Rest Day","RDFLEXI.",(TEXT(C10,"hhmm"&"HRS."))))
I think it is trying to continue doing something with the text function

I have a worksheet with 10000 plus entries in ten columns From K to T. I need to create unique IDs for all of my stock. I would like to use the concatenate function so that the first letter of each products type is taken and then joined onto a unique number. Im not sure how I will do this I was thinking that the formula looks at the largest value and adds 1 so that there are no duplicate numbers added to the first letter of the product type. E.g. the first mother board added will be "M1" the next will be "M2" as the formula has found that M1 exists and has added 1.
