Can't Download Trusted Hyperlink
Aug 29, 2009I have looked through the XL2007 security settings and can't find any way to list a (known secure) hyperlink as trusted so that it will download without manual intervention.

Trusted Location - How To Save To And Access
Sep 29, 2008managed to get a piece of code working to create unique sequential numbers for purchase orders, but only by "enabling all macros" which is apparently not recommended and could conceivably, as I understand it, leave a PC vunerable to viriuses contained in other imported files.
Please bear with me as I'm very new to anything other than basic Excel functions; macros were, until last week, something I didn't even know existed, let alone how to use them. Anyway, having got my macro working, I understand that the best thing to do is put it in a "trusted location" from where it will work automatically without requiring operator input (whilst still maintaining high overall security), rather than "enabling all macros", but I have a couple of issues with this.
Firstly, having created a folder in "my documents" as per the instructions, how do I save the macro there? What format should it be in? Surely not a word document? (as you can gather I am still really in the dark about all this). If not, what?
Secondly, how do I direct Excel to access and run the macro from this "trusted location" folder, rather than the already existing "module1"?

to run macros as trusted (regardless of security setting?).
Can anyone confirm this please? Is there more to it? What versions are affected? Mine is 2003 so I can't check for this.
Hyperlink In Cell Have Email CODE But Hyperlink Is Not Clickable
Jul 2, 2009I have this code that looks through my worksheet once the conditions are met it will email, and in column "M" I put a hyperlink to where the document is stored. All works as far as the email format, even grabs the hyperlink but it’s not clickable in the email.

I've figured out how to launch explorer and start the download, but then a dialogue box appears asking whether to save the file and where to save it. how do I automatically get past this and save the file to e.g "quotes.xls"?

Oct 17, 2006I am having a slight problem copying hyperlinks. I have written some code that sorts data by date and then creates a simple diary. It originally placed the name of the event in the new diary sheet. What I would like to do is instead of copying the name into this new sheet copy a hyperlink that I have created to the company's website for that event.
I can create the hyperlink using hyperlink(B1,A1) where A1 is the company name and B1 is the web address but since the new sheet will not have the underlying data I need to actually copy the values and format of the hyperlink rather than the formula.

The rows on the Download sheet are varies so I thought the Offset formula would be best. Could you review my spreadsheet and formula? Nov 9, 2008i am downloading data from a website and one column of cells contains the date and the time. i only need the date and i am trying to delete the time from all cells in the column. i've tried formating but the time stays in the cell. i could go through the whole column and delete the date and time and enter only the date but that is cumbersome. i was wondering if there is a way to delete the time and keep the date in the cell?

Dec 8, 2007i'm working with downloading data from our server. it downloads in excel 3.0 format, and the contents exceed the 65k cap by far.
now what i used to do for this when i had 2003 installed on my machine, i would open the 3.0 format file and convert it to 2003 format so i could import it into access, where i could move it into two 2003 xls files to manage by use of copy/paste from access's table to excel's spreadsheet. The 3.0 > 2003 conversion was necessary because if i try to import a 3.0 excel file into access 2003, it gives me a error that the file contains no data.
so here is my problem now. our office just updated to 2007. it appears that when you run the conversion option to 2007 format, OR just save as... and save it to a new xlsx, it stripps off the remaining data that overstacks the 3.0 format file. everything above row 65536 is lost (and this paticular file has 77k+ rows).
so i decided... "ok then i'll do it my old way". i saved it into 2003 format instead, just as i used to, and imported it into access, and guess what? it stripps it in that format too now! (the majesty of upgrades... buggs to year 2010).
so my question is... how do i get this 3.0 overstacked file format converted to xlsx format retaining ALL 77k rows in a single sheet, or how do i strip it into 2 separate xls 2003 format files? either way will work, i just need all my data so i can work with it.
VBA - Go To Website And Download File From Save Prompt
May 24, 2013How to save a file onto the computer using VBA. The code template below that I found on another forum seems promising, except when I go to the desktop to access it, the .csv file has what looks like the page's source code instead of the actual file I want. This may be because when I go to the url, it doesn't automatically download the file; rather, I am asked to save the file to a certain location (since I don't know the path name of the uploaded file on the site).
Is there any way to alter this code to accommodate this, or will I have to use a different code entirely?

Amazon Download Pulling Data From One Cell To Others?
Jul 24, 2013I have a sheet with 22,000 rows 6 columns of sales data from my Amazon sales each order has between 3-6 rows. When the data comes in from Amazon some of those rows wont have my sku in the sku cell.
