SUM-OFFSET: Sum Of Each Name From The Download Sheet Tab

I don't know why my Sum/Offset formula is not functioning correctly. =SUM(OFFSET(Download!H2,0,MATCH($B$3,Data!A1:P1,0)))
I'm trying to attain the sum of each name from the Download sheet tab but my formula returns a 0 instead of 2,181(the correct answer). The rows on the Download sheet are varies so I thought the Offset formula would be best. Could you review my spreadsheet and formula? Can this formula accommodate an exclusion criteria? example sum all the count except for the one with the maximum time from column D?

I am using Excel 2003, Windowx XP Professional, and Internet Explorer 7
In one Excel 3003 example workbook sheet1 contains data copied in from Internet Explorer 7 that keeps changing position on the sheet. From a cell, EG C5, in sheet2 I want to use functions to find a name in Sheet1 and pull the value on the same row say seven columns to the right back into sheet2 cell C5.
My knowledge of Excel is very limited but this would seem to be a simple common thing to have to do, but have been unable figure it out. If this has been answered elsewhere I appologise, this is my first time to this forum which I found with google.

using VBA and most of what i know has come from reading through blogs. I'm trying to copy 5 separate pieces of data from one row on our Payroll sheet and paste this in to another sheet call master dump.
The issue that i am having is that the code i have written keeps coming up with a run time error 1004 at the line "a.Select"
What i need the code to do is this: Copy the data from cell A4 and paste this on to another worksheet in to row cell b2, date worked in to d2, pay code in ot f2, hours in to h2 and the cost centre in to ad. all on the same row. i then need it to move on to the next team member (in this case A5) and repeat until there is no emp#. once the monday is done it will need to move onto Tuesday.

i've got two textboxes and a command button on a userform.
Textbox1's value is "A" Textbox2's value is "B".
On commandbutton_click, i'd like to search down column P for textbox1's value.
then offset -5 to column J and insert textbox2's value.
Then Next search for the next textbox1's value and replace the offset again until all values have been replaced.
I've done the searches and not sure exactly how to go about it, it seems so easy but i'm getting tired of looking at this project.

Here's another question for you excel junkies to solve, while I try to understand what y'all are doing. I have two worksheets named "MASTER" and "BEDS". What I need to do, in sheet "MASTER" is go down column ("K:K"). "K:K" has unique data in it. then for each row...
"X" .value = offset minus one
"Y".value = no offset
now I need to go to sheet "BEDS" and find "Y" in column "A:A" then
from "Y" offset + 3.value = "TRUE"
"Y" offset +4.value = "X"
there should only be one instance of "Y" in column "A:A"..............

I have this code attached to a button on the first sheet of a workbook with hundreds of sheets.
it is suposed to look for a cell that contains "SAY:" and then move one column to the right and make it a zero. It works on the first sheet but not on any other sheet.

I am having some difficulties using a combination of IF and the OFFSET function to display a range of cell values from another column based on a simple condition. The values I need to display at the destination cells should be offset by 8 columns to the right and "X" rows down from the reference column. The value "X" is to be determined via the IF function to check for the row index number.
For example, if Index value "X" = 8, then display the value of B2 in cell I9. IF X = "9", display B2 in cell I10 etc.
I have attached a sample worksheet that provides some examples.

Trying to grasp the concept of using these 3 functions to search for and return values from a data sheet.
The attached spread sheet has performance data for a group of employees.
What I need to do is find a particular employee then return a value for one of the category's.
For instance, I need to find "10TE03 ANGIE HOLLIS" Parts Usage on color or cell C10 in the attached sample.
Sometimes new category's are added to column A adding to the number of rows so a simple offset is not reliable.
Once I get that working, I then need to use a named range to total and average different data points for groups of employees by teams.
Maybe Offset-Index-Match is not even the way to go here?

I have been working on automating IE. Part of my task involves using explorer to download a file from a given url and save it to disk. I've figured out how to launch explorer and start the download, but then a dialogue box appears asking whether to save the file and where to save it. how do I automatically get past this and save the file to e.g "quotes.xls"?

I'm trying to use macros in order to download subs directly from the Excel sheet. The idea is put the name of the film or television series in an exce cell. When you set enter, the vba programme search the subtitles into the web site (such as Search in 6.626.100 subtitles | SubtitleSeeker.com : Seek & Find Subtitles, or Subtitulos de Series - Comunidad hispana de traduccion de Subtitulos) and then download the right sub into a local folder.

I have created some code that directs me to a web page, and i use send keys to navigate my way to the input field. In this input field I am trying to put a cell value in a range use send keys to download the file, and the repeat the process for the next cell.
Here is my code so far, it does everything right up until pasting the copied cell into the input section of the web page - the issue is it is pasting nothing

i am downloading data from a website and one column of cells contains the date and the time. i only need the date and i am trying to delete the time from all cells in the column. i've tried formating but the time stays in the cell. i could go through the whole column and delete the date and time and enter only the date but that is cumbersome. i was wondering if there is a way to delete the time and keep the date in the cell?
