Countif To Count If Falls With In 90 Days Of Todays Date
Oct 29, 2009
What i have is a list of dates in a row. I want to set up a countif formula to count the number of date that fall with in 90 days of todays date. I'm planning on placing todays date in a cell in the upper left hand corner (cell A2) above the list of dates. This way i can just type in todays date and the spreedsheet will count the number of dates, in the list, that fall with in 90 days of the date i type into cell A2

I have column B with a heading "Days Remaining" and column L with a heading "Deadline". starting with row 5, I need to be able to enter a date in L5 and see the days I have left, from that day untill today, on B5. I need to then be able to enter a date into L6 and see a result in B6 and on and on. Then I need to be able to insert or delete a column and have the formulas still work in the columns with the heading "Days Remaining" and "Deadline"

I'm trying to use countif or similar to show how many times a given date is between 2 dates (inclusive). Each row of the spreadsheet contains amongst other info, a Start Date and an End Date. If i've got 2 rows like this:
StartDate EndDate
01/01/2009 03/01/2009
02/01/2009 04/01/2009
I'd want to lookup 02/01/2009 and have it return 2 (02/01/09 falls between the dates on row 1 and the dates on row 2). To give some context, this is an export from a database containing staff holiday dates, and I'd like to be able to see how many people will be on holiday on any given date, given the start and end date of all holiday occurances throughout the year.

1 column in my sheet is a list of dates (affectively a calendar). I am trying to create a macro that will only display rows 1-5 and then current the current date and the next 30 days and hide all other rows.
The approach I have tried is to use “ADDRESS(MATCH(BS40,$B$1:$B$462,0),2)” equation to find the cell with todays date in it (Cell BS40 contains todays date). This was repeated for todays date +30. The problem I have is that although I now have the cell address’s located I cannot reference their values in a range.select
What I want to do is somwthing like this:

I am trying to quantify the number of widgets in inventory that are useable.
Widgets are useable after 30 days from the date of purchase.
So far I have
C2=Purchase Date
=countif(C2:C5000, "="&today(C2)+30)
I am getting a value of 0 which is incorrect.

Formula for the attached worksheet.
In the table of cells A3:G12 there is a list of staff I have working that day and the hours that they are working, which I enter manually.
The table A14:G89 is a list of matches that my staff will be monitoring which I paste in from a downloaded list. Column G is blank when I paste is filled in by the table on the right which is what I want to achieve at then end.
Once I have entered the times that people are working that day then scroll over to the right and look to fill in the column headed 'Monitoring'.
What I want is the 'Schedule Table' at the top of the worksheet. What I want to do here is place a formual in these cells to display how many matches a member of staff is monitoring concurrently at any given 15 minute interval. I've filled in down to the 11.05 kick-off to show what I want it to display but obviously I want to find a formula to replace this manual intervention.

The union has instated a new policy here and new hires now have a 120 working day probationary period. That comes out to about 6 months. ( 168 days minus the 48 days off) . what I’m looking for is a formula that will calculate each date that has passed as one starting at a –48 … also adding in to the equation that every day sick counts against that 120 and everyday of OT counts as positive brining them closer to the 120 they need.
I can figure out the math part of adding and subtracting the days. But what I can’t figure out is how do I get it to read each date as one starting from the date in cell b3
Example cell b3 has 9/25/06 cell b4 has 3/12/07 all the days that have passed count as one.
The total starts as a –48( due to the days off) with the verabial, d8 is a negative and d9 is a positive. To be added in to the total.

I have two columns - Employee and Status of Deal. Now, I need to get the total count of New and Active-to-date but on a per employee basis. Am I making any sense? To clearly put it, I need a formula that will answer the questions below:
How many New and Active-to-date deals does Michael et al have? I tried to use Countif but that gave me the total number of deals, not on a per status basis. Will VLookUp work or a combination of both? If so, how? I'm using Excel 2003.

I am assessing the impact of product price increases on volume (qty) and sales (£/$).
The prices are changed sporadically and at no set intervals. For example pries were changed on the 15th Jan and 13th Feb this year.
We have set reporting dates (calender months) so i am hoping to be able to divide the report which shows sales & qty's during the 15th Jan - 13th Feb segment and apportion them to the correct months.
I have the start & end dates of the calender months in cells A4:B18 and each time a new report is run (ie 15th Jan or 13th Feb, these dates go across the top i.e. cell C3 = 15th jan & D3 = 13th Feb.
I would like to return a % in cell C4 which relates to the amount of total days in the segment that relate to Jan (ie. 29 days in the segment, 16 relate to Jan so 55.2%).
Cell C5 would then return a % which relates to the amount of total days in the segment that relate to Feb (29 days in the segment, 13 relate to Feb so 44.8%).
Cells D4&D5 would return the next reporting segment and how many days in Jan/Feb respectively (the answer will be 0 but a constant formula acrosss all would be perfect. tried to give as much info as poss.

I have been using a formula to count the number of days between 2 dates and if the date was older than 12 months it would work fine.
The data that i was using has been changed and they have decided to change the format of the dates and dropped the year reference no all i have to work with is dates like 27-07 this represents 27th July i can format this date to work fine unless the date falls before 1 jan this year all i get is lots of numbers and it stuffs up the whole calculation.
The formula i am using to compare the dates is
=DATEDIF(N31,$D$1,"d")

I have a large spreadsheet which holds lots of data with date ranges that i need to performs different actions to. Any way to identify the number of days, per calender month, that falls in a date range.
sample data...
Start Date
End Date
Old Value
New Value
08/03/2010
18/06/2010
16758.2
16758.1
[Code] .......
I need to break down the total number of days per month
Jan
Feb
Mar
Apr
May
Jun
Jul
Aug
Sep
Oct
Nov
Dec
24
30
31
18
[Code] ......
As you can see this also laps into a new year, which poses my next problem, ill probably just add more columns on to the end of the table for that though...
I will later apply different calculations to these cells but in short need to get a calculation for the number of days per month first.
(in short spreading the new value out accross the year then multiplying it by the days... i also need to apply a further daily volume cal to it).

how to make my network days stop counting when I insert a value in the completed column (in this case H3). I have a Date Received column (A3), a due day column (G3) and the last column with the date (N3). My remaining days column keeps counting after I filled the completed cell (H3) and won't stop counting after. I need a formula to stop after the completed cell is fill up.

I want to calculate the end date of my German courses. This is how it works:
A course consists of 60 LU*. The course can occur i. e. three times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In each day the course lasts 2 LU, which means 6 LU each week. There is no course on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and on holidays. Therefore this type of course that begins on 18-Nov-2013 will end on 03-Feb-2014.
Another course which occurs Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and respectively has 2 LU on Tuesday, 2 LU on Thursday and 3 LU on Saturday and starts on 03-Dec-2013 will end on 06-Feb-2014.
Therefore I want to create a worksheet where I set the start date, choose the days and respectively the LU amount on those days. The end date shall be calculated according to these criteria.
The workday function on excel cannot do this and I do not have any programming skills to work with VBA.
Legend:
*LU = lesson units; 1 LU is 45 minutes
Holidays:
28-Nov-13
29-Nov-13
08-Dec-13
09-Dec-13
25-Dec-13
31-Dec-13
01-Jan-14
[Code] ...........

Using <> wont work in this instance.

I have a a planner made using excel. Monday to Sunday are from G3 - M3 and the months are in F3 going downwards. The months are abbreviated to 3 letters e.g. Jan, Feb, etc.
Where months cross over in the same week this is indicated as month/Next month e.g. Jan/Feb. Within these fields I have manually entered the dates, so for example todays date of 19th Feb is located on cell J11, (the coordinates of Thu (in J3) and the month of Feb (F11) (showing on week 8). To indicate todays data on the planner I have used an autoshape and simply filled the colour red, so that it stands out. However, when I open the planner the next day I have to move the autoshape to indicate the correct date.
The problem is, if I want to open the planner today, next week or next month (or whatever date in the current year) could a macro be devised that will indicate the correct day (i.e. by increasing the text size, change the font, color, etc?) using the exact headings as I have mentioned? I am assuming a macro on open would work which would look at todays date, and convert this to both a day in the week and month. Once done it could then find the exact day?

Ive searched a number of websites and so far havent seen what I need.
I want the calendar, once my form has been opened, to automatically change to the current date.
So in summary, the code, I believe would look something like this:

way to have the vehicle registration date compared to todays date and have it return either due next month, due or over due.
Todays date is in format month/day/year, registration is only by month/year. Todays date is in fixed location in worksheet updated by function Today()
Basically a formula that resembles =If(registration date < todays date, overdue, If( registration date = todays date, due, If(registration date = todays date+1month, next month, If( registration date > todays date + 1 month, 0))))
