Oct 4, 2006Is there a formula or code that returns the dates in the month in the current month before today? For example, today is 4th october 2006. so I would like it to return a column of values that include 1/10/2006, 2/10/2006, 3/10/2006, 4/10/2006.

Oct 8, 2006I'm need to add a droplist with periods 1,2,3,4 etc... that references a cell then populates that same reference in a cell raange. Example: cell E1 contains the droplist with periods 1-4 as choices to select from, when you select period 1 it populates the dates jan 15 in cells E4:E7, if you select period 2 it populates dates jan 31, etc. how to add the droplist, how to expand the list, show the formula and how to expand it as I will have more data than this short example.

Mar 19, 2009I'm trying to create a drop down list which returns values based on what has been selected in the previous drop down list in the adjacent cell, e.g. if 'Apples' is selected in the previous cell then you should only be able to select from 'Gala, Granny Smith', or if 'Oranges' is selected you should only be able to select 'Seville, Blood Orange'. Is there a formula which would do this, or can I use a pivot table somehow? I'm totally stumped.

1) The status column (F) uses a drop down list, located in cells Z1 to Z5.
When an option is selected, the date updates in column G automatically.
What I would like is for the date to only update in column G if the drop
down list is changed to Completed.
2) If the status is changed to completed by mistake, and then changed back
I would like the date to disappear.
Finally, can I make the date columns jump automatically so the person entering the data goes from column F to column H.

Dec 23, 2009I have an application that when user insert a new row, it will place a dropdown box on first column of that row waiting user to make a selection to pupolate other attributes to the rest of columns of the row.
That runs fine if user follow the sequence precisely. That is, user create a row, make a selection, then create yet another new row, make a selection, and so on.
My trouble is that when user created a few rows consecutively without picking a selection from each dropdown first, but instead s/he first created a few rows (say on 21, 22, 23, 34, and 25) and then came back to make a selection from the dropdown box in row 21, the VB code would insist current working/active row number is 25, not 21. This becomes a big problem.

both show curRow = 25, which are incorrect
Is there any mechanism that when user click on a dropdown, I will be able to get its correct position (row = 21, column = 1, for example) from the engaged dropdown box? In other programming languages "Me" is a reserved object that would give out individual's property, but I am not sure if that exists in Excel macro/VB.
I am new to Excel macro. I am looking for its answer for a few days and unfortunately I haven't found any clue yet.
Pull List Of Dates That Are Greater Than Certain Date (meets Criteria)
Jun 26, 2013So I've got a vertical list of dates in M/D/YYYY format, and I'm trying to come up with a method to pull certain dates that are greater than a given benchmark and paste those values in another column. For instance, if I've got a list with 3/3/2008, 5/5/2010, 6/6/2011, and 7/7/2012 I want to pull only the dates beyond 12/31/2010 (so would be the 6/6 and 7/7 ones).
I'm assuming this isn't doable with one formula, so I would need a macro. But I'm having trouble just even coming up with the logical operator for just one date. I must be doing something wrong here. If my date in B2 is 1/1/2009 and I have a formula as IF(B2>12/31/2009,"True","False"), I just get TRUE, which shouldn't be the case.

Example
Initial Date :- 1st of January 2014
Frequency :- every 5 weeks
Current Date :- 9th of March 2014
Next Due date should be :-12th of March 2014 (if I worked it out correctly from my paper calendar)
I want to use a cell formula to do this for different initial dates and varying frequency periods (the frequency will always be whole weeks i.e. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,8,10)

Jan 13, 2009I am trying to create a fairly simple spreadsheet with about 8 columns and about 400 rows. One of the columns features a drop-down list with about 8 or 9 different options. Dependant on which option is selected, i would like the entire row to change colour with that option.
For example:
FAILED - whole row changes red
SUCCESSFUL - row has no fill
Tested - row changes to orange
etc.
Is this possible within Excel 2003?

Feb 9, 2009I imported a large amount of data from another program. The data is in one column and is in date format (02/24/57), for example. The data is made up of my clients birthdays. I want to import those birthdays into my outlook to create reminders but the dates are years past. I need to change the birth year to the current year in order for the reminder to activate going forward. If I dont update the year, the dates import back to the date they were born. In some cases 60 years back.
I am hoping that I dont have to manually change each date before I attempt to import into outlook.

Feb 10, 2012I have userform with date pickers and have text boxes overlaid on these, when I select todays date from the date picker it does not display the current date in the text box (I have 8 date pickers on the userform). If I select another date then reselect the current date it works. It has occasionally worked but why.
Below is the code for populating the text box from the Date Picker.

I get this excel every Thursday so i want to filter this date column in such a way that it give me the data related to the date of the previous week only yet there is a catch here. When i say previous week i mean.
Suppose today is 03/14/14 then i want the data from 03/07/14 till today ie Last week friday to this week full( so cant use Current week option) and then paste it in a new sheet.

Jun 20, 2013I created a basic excel weekly budget and would like to know how much money I have as of todays date. on the top row I have a date range from Sunday to Saturday, so it looks like this:

with the month manually put in above it.
then below I have income and expenses with a Overall below that, so basically what I want to is see the Overall value based on todays date, not sure how to do this with the weekly range and automatic current date(which is =TODAY() as far as I know) I have attached a photo as a reference.

The problem I'm running into is in automating the this month sales for mid-month exports. I can do it individually but I can't find a formula that will do it. Data is in one cell per month, so ex. 130 sales this month so far. I need to have it convert that to projected sales for total month based on what day it currently is.
