I have tried several options, ISERROR(FIND(.................also EXACT(........ and they all seem to get stuck, after the second expression.

Basically, I have a ROW of Cells, with numbers inside them, like so:-

F8.....G8....H8....I8...J8....K8
27.....33....10.....4....4.....4

And looking from right to left, I am asking this question:-

If K8=J8, then I will have K8 & I8 as my result.
If K8=I8, then I will have K8 & H8 as my result.
If K8=H8, then I will have K8 & G8 as my result.
If K8=G8, then I will have K8 & F8 as my final result, Else its K8&J8 as my FALSE.
(the \$J\$3 = a comma, for number separation, and further LEN string capture.)

Every time I have made this formula, with other types of Logic, it only ever finds the second tier depth as the result,
and I wonder why, since they are several nested IF statements in line!!

## Excel Gets Stuck On A Cell?

I have a client that enters a lot of data into various spreadsheets, we recently upgraded her computer and along with it upgraded Office to 2013. Since that has happened she has experienced some issues with navigating cells in Excel. What will happen is she will be typing than tabbing or using the arrow keys and all of a sudden the active cell will get stuck on one of them. Arrow keys do not move the cursor to the next cell and the only way for her to fix it is to alt tab to another spreadsheet and then back to the one she was working on. Once that is done it is working fine.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to when this happens to her. I have re-installed (used the big one that re-downloads from the web), it has no add-ins on either that are conflicting and I know it is not the keyboard since when I log in through TeamViewer while it is happening I am also unable to move with the arrow keys.

I have 2 Worksheets in an Excel 2010 Workbook -

Sheet1
Column1: contains the word "dog"
Column2: contains the word "bark"

Sheet2
Column1: contains the sentence "I like dogs a lot."
Column2: is blank

What I need to do is search Sheet2/Column1 for the presence of "dog" and if it's present, populate the word "bark" in Sheet2/Column2 from Sheet1/Column2.

How can I do this?

I have extracted a lot of data (from a webpage), onto Sheet 1 of my Excel 2010. The results I have obtained of this data I have extracted might occupy cells A1 to F1.

I want to keep doing this over and over, copying and pasting data from a webpage onto Sheet 1, then obtaining various results and adding those results under cells A1 to F1, which would of course be A2 to F2.

Is there any way these results can be transferred to say Sheet2, but of course occupying a new line each time so that at the end of the day, I have a list of results.

Of course I could just copy and paste them to say Sheet2, under each other, just wondering if there was some tricky way.

## Stuck With Dropdown List Data?

I am currently stuck with a drop down list problem. I am trying to make a benchmarking solution for a group of 20 stores. All stores sell products uniformly and their sales are displayed in percentages of the cumulative total. Currently there is a benchmarking page where all stores sales per product is displayed, however I would like the ability to select specific stores data from a drop down list. I have pictures displaying the basic concept of what I want to achieve.

On the left a list of products and the quantities sold in percentages per store for benchmarking purposes.

What I would like to achieve relates to the drop down list on sheet 2.

Here store 1 can see its sales in percentages, and has a drop down list to compare to different stores. If store 3 is selected I would like the data to be pulled into that column from the benchmarking sheet and the same goes for the other stores of course.

I have a parent spreadsheet with raw data(with errors) and a child spreadsheet without errors. I want to merge the child into parent. (:{). I am thinking of comparing multiple columns from each sheet to ensure maximum accuracy. And when those columns match up we paste the corrected column data from child sheet to parent one. I am using windows 7 and Excel 2010.

How would I write a IF statement comparing 3 values. For example the field that it would be referencing would have values cell E51(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,...99). The pull back would be:

I'm trying to determine if one date meets the criteria to be considered 'on time'. I have two columns: estimated completion date and completion date. I want to compare the completion date to the estimated completion date and if completion date is <= completion date but is NOT = 1/1/2099 then I met my date. I've tried this several different ways and problem is I cannot make it work.

When estimated completion date is 1/1/2099 'on time' should be 'no'
When estimated completion date is not 1/1/2099 but is greater than completion date 'on time' should be 'no'
When completion date is <= estimated completion date and estimated completion date is not equal to 1/1/2099 'on time' should be 'yes'

And I have a null date to deal with also but if I can satisfy the first 3 criteria I can manipulate the null values manually.

I'm using Excel 2010 on Windows 7.

I have 2 worksheets. One has Employees and the devices they have. Last name, First Name, Device each in their own colulmn. Many have more than 1 device so they have multiple entries on seperate rows.

Another worksheet has Employees and thier location. Last name, First Name, Location. Again, all on seperate columns.

It would look something like this

Sheet1
Lastname
Firstname
Device
Johnson

So I'm tasked with combining them into 1 sheet with last name, first name, device and location. The issues I'm having are:

1) A team member could have multiple devices
2) A last and/or first name can appear many times, so a simple Vlookup against lastname won't work - it has to somehow also compare against both.

## Excel 2003 :: Comparing Data To Locate Missing Fields?

I am in the process of comparing the data between 2 different sheets and the data on each sheet contains 2 columns of information. I am trying to find a way to compare one sheet to that same item on the second sheet and see if anything is missing, however the second sheet contains more information between the two columns and the rows are never the same during my comparison. I've tried Match, Lookup, Indirect, and if/then with an And functions and because the rows do not stay the same the data is not accurate. Here is a brief example of what I am working on:

SHEET 1
A B
1 Red Delicious Apple 125 Count Apple
2 Red Delicious Apple 125 Count Fresh Fruit

So in these comparisons, the names in Column A match identically, so if I try to say take the name from sheet 1 and match to that in sheet 2 and if the wording in Column B matches then put a "Yes" value. But you can see on Sheet 2 by the time it gets to rows 14, 15, 16, the Baby Food Chicken has a 3rd item in Column B in comaprison to Sheet 1, so any type of match doesn't work.

I am using Excel 2003.

I am trying to compare to values that a user inputs in a user form. It's ok if they are not the same I just want the user to know it. I am only including the part where the if statement is failing:

I have VerUnBal as Long and defined as:

I can provide more info as necessary. There are two problems 1) the message box is appearing whether the numbers are equal or not, and 2) clicking No in the message box does not cause the Sub to exit.

I suspect the problem is a Missing Reference, but I cannot figure out which one. I have the same ones (in 2007) as 2003 except for one which is not showing

What code to add to the already existing VB so that if someone is using the sheet and leaving the cell in E12, for example, and saving it, then the next user should find it again on A3 but not on E12.

I have attached a sheet that has part of a data list, sheet called (Full Data) what i am trying to do is seperate the data into event locations into individual sheets.

The data ref will be column F which is the different event locations.

I thought the best way to try and do this was to create an if/ match formula using the sheet tab names as the if match, with the event locations in column F.

I have added two sheet tabs so you can see that i require the data for (Ain) to be put into the Ain sheet.

The data list in Full Data sheet will be continuously updated so i will need the range to be around 10,000 entries.

## Stuck In Full Screen Mode

I seem to be stuck in "Full Screen" mode. When I go to the View menu, both "Full Screen" and "Normal" are highlighted. I can't seem to get out of Full Screen.
I am using Excel 2003, XP SP3 installed. This just started this am. I did download and install Microsoft patches this am. ???
I am able to save and use Excel but without normal view my formating buttons etc. are not available.

The workbook has a dde link in sheet 1, the macro will write the data to sheet2 at set times. I am creating a report of the data in sheet 2 in sheet3. at this point it is very rudimentary.
