Is it at all possible to have a hyperlink that when clicked will take the user to detailed information on another page? I have a summary information with account numbers on one page and would like to click on a hyerlink related to the account number and take the user to the detailed information on another page.
I am looking for a discounted cash flow worksheet where I can set the period of time to a certain number of years, set the terminal value at the end of that period of time, as well as having the ability to set the discount rate. When all three things are set, I would like to see the annual cash flows as well as the present value amount.
I need to create 3 or 4 detailed reports from an excel 2010 worksheet.
My worksheet contains data including date, invoice number, company , consultant, days, dollars. There are approximately 100 records in the worksheet.
Requirement 1 :I want to use excel 2010 to automatically generate a series of reports broken down by consultant showing date, invoice number, company, and consultant with totals for days and dollars, when all the records for consultant 1 are listed, then I want to show consultant 2.
Same for any other consultants with a grand total at the end.
My understanding is that excel 2010 makes this process very simple .
I don't think this may even be possible, but what I am trying to do is pull only certain information from one worksheet to another based on whether there are entries on certain dates for employees.
A sample is attached.
On the first worksheet I have a drop down menu for all employees on the second sheet. (the drop down menu pulls the names from the second sheet)
The second worksheet has all employees in Column A and to the right has all their variances by date. Most dates will be blank as they didn't have a variance.
What I would like is on the first worksheet, is to select their name from the drop down menu and have all the dates that they had variances and the variances show up.
If you take a look at the attached excel file it might explain what I am trying to do better.
I have a detailed in which the particulars are entered as shown below.
Sl.No Name Amount Remuneration
1 A 32500.00
40000.00
[code]....
Now the Abstract of the above data is needed to be populated in the next sheet which looks like below.
Sl.No Name Amount Remuneration
1 A 87500.00 6344.00
[code]....
I know if Sl.No, Name, Amount and Remuneration are in same row(as in Sl.No3), this can be done using VLOOKUP. But now can some one give me a formula where in Name, Amount and Remuneration can be populated if they are not in same row(as in Sl.Nos 1 and 2).
I work with large spreadsheets. I was hoping that someone would know how to create a macro that will take selected cells in column C and search all of column C for exact duplicate entries. The macro envisioned would let you select cells to test. If a dulicate entry is found I would need the macro to test the cells in column E against one another. If both C & E match exact (if possible maybe display the findings in a pop up box) I would like the macro to ask me if I want to delete the duplicate entry, if yes, delete the entire row. If no, skip it and move to the next one. If C but not E match I would need the macro to ask me to remove test cell. if yes, cut out the entire row of the TEST cell and paste it in a new sheet. If no skip it and move on. Am I just dreaming or can this be done.

I have a row which shows date by month and then a row which shows cash flow. I would like a formula to calculate the break even point in the cash flow row and return the month which this occurs. I would also like to show the number of units required to break even.
I am trying to model the distribution of cash flows from a real estate investment. This is a bit complicated, but basically A1 through A37 are a series of cash flows after payment of debt service from month 0 (closing) to month 36. The real estate project has two investors, the Institutional Investor and the Developer. In this case, the Institutional Investor contributes 90% of the required project equity and the developer contributes the remaining 10%. The cash flow is distributed according to a set of parameters specifying cash flow percentage allocations and IRR targets, collectively known as a "cash flow waterfall"." As with all for-sale residential development deals, the early cash flows are negative and then turn positive as unit sales occur. The order of distribution of the cash flow remaining after debt service is paid is as follows (the waterfall):
1. Both investors receive the return of their invested capital from cash flow distributions. 1. Hurdle 1 (after the return of equity to both investors), the Institutional Investor receives 90% of the monthly cash flows and the Developer 10%, proportional to their respective overall equity contributions, until both investors achieve a 12% IRR (all IRR's to be calculated from deal inception/first dollar invested). 2. Hurdle 2, (after Hurdle 1 is satisfied), the Institutional Investor receives 60% of the monthly cash flows until the Institutional Investor achieves an 18% IRR. 3. The Final Split (after satisfying Hurdle 2) allocates monthly cash flow 50% to each investor.
On an overall project basis, the Developer should realize a disproportionate share of the cash flow after the second hurdle is hit. This is what is known as the "promote." The most recent 36 month (37 including Closing) projected cash flows are as follows:
I realize this is complicated, but this structure is quite common to real estate, private equity, venture capital and hedge fund investments (along with most any joint venture deals with multiple classes of equity participants). The canned software that is out there that performs this type of anlysis is both expensive and rigid, and doesn't typically enable the required sensitivity analysis in structuring a deal.
I am using a script that I found on this site (see below). The problem I am having is that I recieve an error on one of my sheets. The used range streatches from Column A to Column J and from row 1 to past 32767. I have found that if I delet the information below row 32767 that I do not get an error. Is there anything I can do out side of splitting the information up on different sheets?
Dim FirstRow As Integer, FirstCol As Integer, _ LastRow As Integer, LastCol As Integer FirstRow = Cells. i have a river cross section data. for different flow levels in the river i need to to calculate the flow area. i have a very large series of flow level data for 10 years at 1 hr interval.can you give a solution of that.
I have an existing button which has either a macro or hyperlink assigned to it which links to another worksheet within the workbook. I would like to change the worksheet it is linked to. I have tried right click - edit hyperlink and picked a different sheet, and also assign macro - record new macro. I have even removed hyperlink, then inserted new but no matter what it still goes back to the same sheet.
I am in this position after copying and pasting an existing button. I'm not sure how they designed it from scratch so I would really prefer to just change the link.
I have a question regarding hyperlinks...now what i wish to do is force a hyperlink in what i thoguht would be esily dne in a worksheet change event...hw wrong was i.
Lets say i type 'test' in A1 and press enter...now because i ave pressed enter A1 is no longer the active cell so the code in the sheet change event inserts the code into A2 but because A is blank the 'Text to display' becomes the hyperlinks address.
I wrote a simple with/ end with thinking it would work but it doesnt because of the issue above (Hope i am making sense here)
I got round it by copying the activecell (which would be the cell underneath) and pasting it back to the original target cell, which because it contains text does what i wantbut i am hoping for a much cleaner solution.....
My target column is '1' and only one i will just need to exit the sub anywhere else on the sheet
I would like to, using VBA, assign a hyperlink to an excel cell that links to another worksheet within the same workbook. I've tried the forums, and combined with a previous post and MS Excel Help File, I've come up with the following attempt:
strHyper2 is previously defined: strHyper2 = "[WeatherTester.xls]1!A1"
My spreadsheet file is "WeatherTester.xls", my worksheet is "1", and "A1" is the desired link location for the cursor. Counter is an integer. I get the error "Invalid procedure call or argument". I also tried to enter a hyperlink directly through the formula property, but Excel didn't like the single quotations I had to use within the HYPERLINK function. The hyperlink formula works in the following form: =HYPERLINK("[WeatherTester.xls]1!A1","1 Jan")
I am trying to create an interpolation for water flow in a given area. Tables below for better understanding:
Inputs Required
Area 3 km2
L 5 km
L2/A (Calculated) 8.3
[Code] ......
The idea is that when I increase the input area, I would like to interpolate between the RFFP frequency for the flow Q50/Q20 that best fits the area and provide me with a peak flow rate.
I have a summary sheets for my report that my department no longer wants to use. Rather they want to have a longer, more detailed version of the same thing, but rather than 1 sheet summarizing it all, they want it 1 widget, 1 sheet.
How can I have my Checksheet tab (see upload), turned into multiple tabs. In the specific example I provided, there are 10 widgets, so therefore I created the result in 10 tabs.
How can I get a macro to turn Checksheet tab into the next 10 tabs (see excel upload)?
I have attached the excel sheet of how my summary sheet is, and how it's supposed to look like.
I've been trying to create a hyperlink to another worksheet in the same workbook using cell("filename") to extract the filepath because the filename could change or the file could be moved. I use
to extract the file path, and then try to throw it into the hyperlink formula like:
=HYPERLINK("[&G1&]'Sheet2'!A2","Go to link")
where G1 is the cell where the filepath is stored.
I'm not sure if my syntax or something is wrong but it's not working out.
I am also looking to use vlookup or somethign in the hyperlink formula to match the cells in column A of sheet1 to column B of sheet2 so I can hyperlink it to the same number on sheet2. Right now in the example below it is all linked to go to A2 on sheet2, and dragging the formula down doesnt change it to A3,A4 etc.
I'm having a problem with the HYPERLINK function. I am trying to make jumps from an index sheet to the large worksheet with all the actual info in it. The name of the file is SKU and the large info sheet is also called SKU. First I took the SKU sheet and numbered the rows (="A"&CELL("row",A1)), then in the index worksheet I created a VLOOKUP that finds the corresponding chapter title and returns that value.
Worksheet 1
A B C 1 2 100 =VLOOKUP(A2,SKU!$A$1:$B$3,2,FALSE) ="[SKU]SKU!"&VLOOKUP(A2,SKU!$A$1:$B$3,2,FALSE) 3 150 =VLOOKUP(A3,SKU!$A$1:$B$3,2,FALSE) ="[SKU]SKU!"&VLOOKUP(A3,SKU!$A$1:$B$3,2,FALSE)
I used the HYPERLINK formula in column D: "=HYPERLINK(C2,A2)" and it returns something that looks like the right thing but the link won't open.
I have workbook that contain several sheets. I want to generate a code that will do "first sheet as Index sheet (no mater what is the name of sheet)". Now in this sheet (Index), I want to put sheet names in sheet's order. OR I want to find the sheet name by just one click in Index sheet (eg. Ctr + F, sheet name, it will go to that sheet) can find all the names of sheet. I won't interested to hyperlink the sheet manually many times on Index sheet.
I am trying to put together a projection spread sheet for a client for cash flow purposes. I have it laid out but I cannot wrap my head around the formula and I've tried a few. Here it is.
A1: Client Name B1: Invoice Date C1: Projected Due Date ( I have 45 days added to B1) D1: Invoice Amount E1: Jan F1: Feb G1: March H1: April I1: May J1: Juneetc...
I am trying to forcast out the invoice collection date (C1). So basically in the month of June column I am trying to say if C1 falls between June 1 & June 30th then it should equal D1 (the amount due in that month). So if the invoice has a due date (C1) that falls in that particular month than I am forecasting the cash flow in the month it's collected.
I want to create a hyperlink from an Excel cell to a worksheet tab. Problem is, the tab name changes frequently. The good news is I have a cell that displays all my tab names and automatically refreshes. How can I create a hyperlink that will like to the tab based on the value in that cell?
I have read a number of posts and other sites and can create the hyperlink in the desired cell but get an error message to the effect, "Cannot open the workbook."
The current macro follows. I believe its description is made in the comment statements below the date-author comment.
