IF Date Formula: IF Formula, That States If A Date Is More Than A Month After The Date In The Cell Then It Is Timely
I need an IF formula, that states if a date is more than a month after the date in the cell then it is timely and if it isn't then it is not timely. For example the date in A1 is 12/11/05, if the cell is A2 is 13/12/05 (or any date after that) then A3 should read Not Timely, if A2 is 12/12/05 (or any date before that, including a date before the date in A1) then A3 should read Timely. Is there any way to do this?? At the moment I am having to go through manually and put in either Timely or Not Timely.

Date Formula: Add A Month To A Date
i use dates a LOT in my job however if i want to add a month to a date the best i came up with is the following: BTW all dates are USA standard (m/d/y) A1 = 12/1/2008 Lets say i want to add 3 months but the day NEEDS to be 1 because of all of my array sumif's are based off of month 12/08, 2/09 etc, and in excel 12/08 actually translates to 12/1/08. So here is the formula I have been using for the last 4 years.... =date(year(a1),month(a1)+3,day(1) that seems a bit "Clunky" to me anyone have a better idea? do not tell me "=a1+30" or "31" because that does not work universally.

Date Range Formula: Beginning Of Month To End Of Month (which Is In The Current Row)
I have log data in two columns: Column A: Date/time (at 30 minute intervals) Column B: Numeric data On the last row of each month, I’m trying to perform a SumProduct on the two columns and display that result in column C. The end of the range is determined by the month in the current row. I’m having difficulty finding the beginning of the range, though. I need to account for both the normal dynamic calendar days & the fact that I may get data starting mid-day and mid-month. I have this formula, but I’m not sure how to make the first array dynamic or if this is even correct approach. Manual =IF(OR(MONTH(A1009)=A4)*(A$4:A$65536

Date Month And Sum Formula
In the Total column, I would like to determine what the total would be as from the start date till the current date Columns "C:I" has the dates and the Monthly applicable rates associated. (in this example, they are annual dates, but it may be that rates change in between a year as well) In the first set of details (Mr A), the start date is 01/10/2005 Since Mr A only begins 01/10/2005, the rates from 01/07/2004 - 30/06/2005 ($9) would not apply. However the rates from 01/07/2005 - 30/06/2006 ($8) would be applicable for Mr A for the period 01/10/2005 - 30/06/2006 (ie.9 months) ....

Formula For Date Of Last Monday Of The Month
This formula on the forum has helped me to find the first day I specify of the month of a certain year. (here a monday in august of the year specified in B1) =DATE(B1;8;8-WEEKDAY(DATE(B1;8;1);3)-IF(WEEKDAY(DATE(B1;8;1);3)=0;7;0)) As I'm not really good at understanding the formula (I get confused with the =0;7;0 bit), even though I can make it work I'd like to know how I can find the a last specific day (mo-su) in a month.

Formula To Calculate Date End Of Prev Month
I have a worksheet where the current months date is entered in cell E1 (format dd/mm/yyyy) , using an input box. I need a formula the will calculate the previous months month end date in cell A6 and the month end prior to the date calculated in A6 in cell A13. where the dates start with 31 for eg 31/01/2008 , then my formula works, but if it starts with 30, 29 or 28, then obviously it does not work. I would like a formula that will calculate these previous month end dates correctly. See example below ....

Formula Date Result Showing Number Not Date
I’m trying to resolve this issue and would appreciate some help. Scenario I have a tracking sheet that tracks development of work to be completed by individuals. I have a due date column that shows when the work should be completed. Once the work has been completed, the user enters his completion date. I have a formula that provides an overdue warning (Completion date – today’s date) and some conditional formatting. Problem When I copy the formula through all the cells in the column I get a number (example 39504) and this changes everyday. How can I eliminate this being shown as it throws out my average development day calculation?

Formula That Will Determine The Number Of Days That Fall In A Specific Month Based On A Date Range
I'm needing a formula that will determine the number of days that fall in a specific month based on a date range. For example, if I have a date range of 10/15/2009 to 01/13/2009, I need the formula to determine the number of days in each month within the range (October has 15 days in the date range; November has 30, December has 31, and January has 13.) I have a large spreadsheet that would be so much easier to manage with such a formula. Currently, my spreadsheet is setup as follows. I need the forumla automatically fill in the number of days under each month. Stard Date End Date Oct-09 Nov-09 Jan-10 Feb-10 10/15/2009 01/13/2009 I'm using Excel 2007.

In the next column (E), I want the weekday/workday date 1 month after the Last Contact Date. I can use "=D2+DAY(30)" to give me the date 30 days later, or "=DATE(YEAR(D2),MONTH(D2)+1,DAY(D2))" to get one month later, however what I want is the nearest WORKDAY after this date. So, if the date is on a weekend, I need the Monday date instead.

Add Todays Date When Cell Value=Y (but Not Using TODAY Formula)
I’ve been searching the forum but am struggling to find exactly the information I need! I’m trying to get a column of cells to update with the date that the cells contents change to “Y”. I had been using the formula =IF(I7="Y",TODAY(),"-") in cell J7 but this updates the date every day. I need this date to remain the same as when it’s first populated. I’ve been trying to cut and paste text from existing posts into the Visual Basic code but am new to this so am not getting the results I need. I had tried: Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Excel.Range) 'will put date in column B when something is put in A If Target.Column = 9 Then Target.Offset(0, 1).Value = Date End If End Sub But this caused all sorts of problems! I then tried messing around with: Option Compare Text Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Excel.Range) On Error GoTo enditall Application.EnableEvents = False If Target.Column = "I" Then If Target.Value = "Y" Then Excel.Range("J").Value = Date End If End If enditall: Application.EnableEvents = True End Sub But this doesn’t work either. In fact, both these codes are probably riddled with errors as I’ve been trying to learn by trial and error!

Date Range: Reference A Single Date And Output Date Ranges
I need to create formulas that reference a single date and output date ranges. The objective is to have a person input a Monday date in any given month and receive a four weeks out worth of dates and ranges. For example: In a lone cell, the person inputs 10/13/08. Automatically, the sheet produces the next full week range: October 19 – October 25 in a single cell and also produces a cell for each date. Example: Sunday 19, Monday 20, Tuesday 21, etc…. It should look like: Monday Date: 10/13/08 October 19 – October 25 Sunday 19 Monday 20 Tuesday 21 Wednesday 22 Thursday 23 Friday 24 Saturday 25 and then repeat for three more weeks. I thought I had it figured out until the month changed. The dates continued in October instead of adding a month. This report will be ran weekly, so simply adding a +1MONTH to some cells will not benefit me as I’ll have to change the formula every week. I want the formula to compute the data without any manipulation over the next several years. The only change will be the Monday date.

The problem i'm having is how do I get it to not put a number in my "C" cell when there isn't a month present? This sheet will change weekly, so I've went down to 300 with my month formula. Place Month Of Date Cell On Another Worksheet
I have two workbooks, one a database that accumulates data over time, and the other a monthly report that needs to be populated based on information from the database. When moving data between the two, the following works fine (snipped a lot for ease of reading): Workbooks.Open (database) ', Password:= / Workbooks(reportbook). Sheets("Sheet1"). Range("A1").Value = month(Cells(282, 5)) As you can see, it simply puts the month from a cell in the database into the report workbook. However, if I change Range("A1") to Cells(1,1) I get a runtime error: Workbooks.Open (database) ', Password:= / Workbooks(reportbook).Sheets("Sheet1").Cells(1, 1).Value = month(Cells(282, 5)) I can generally work around this issue by changing the active workbook, but doing so is a big pain. Is there any way to use the second bit of code without popping an error message?
