View 3 RepliesI need an IF formula, that states if a date is more than a month after the date in the cell then it is timely and if it isn't then it is not timely. For example the date in A1 is 12/11/05, if the cell is A2 is 13/12/05 (or any date after that) then A3 should read Not Timely, if A2 is 12/12/05 (or any date before that, including a date before the date in A1) then A3 should read Timely. Is there any way to do this?? At the moment I am having to go through manually and put in either Timely or Not Timely.

I have a sheet where the columns have the month end date for each date, ex January 31,2014 February 28, 2014, March 31, 2014 etc. These dates are used in another formula to compare to the current date and if the current date is past the result is different from when if the date is in the future.
I would like a formula that would update the Month end date when we enter a new year. So for example once we get to January 1 2015 my date would change to January 31,2015, February 28, 2015, March 31, 2015. this would note be dependent on the system date but on the date in another cell.
The data in my spreadsheet will have a column of dates that will change depending on info input in another cell.
What I need is a formula that will give me the most recent date for lets say 2012

if use the max function I get the 4/1/13 result, what I need is a formula that will return the 12/7/12 number.
I have months listed in this format in columns/rows 01/01/06, 02/01/06 and so on in (J9 to L9). I have a reference cell A5 = Month in the same format. This value changes every month. I want to use the SUM Formula of YTD in column/row W9. If the month is 05/01/6 then the sum should be C9 to G9 and so on.

I need a formula that will match the income statement line i.e revenues, accounting expenses etc. and then sum horizontally from Jan-2013 to Dec 2013 ( if YTD month' Dec-2013' is greater than or equal to date range then sum horizontally the corresponding income statement lines up to the reporting month).

This column is formatted as Date (01/08/13), but it only displays the date as Sun 1/01. It's missing the year, which it should be 01/01/12. I have tried to use TEXT function to convert it to month name and day name using TEXT(N4, "mmm") and Text(N4,"ddd"), but I still getting Sun 1/01. I have also tried to use Text to columns to split this date but, it does not work. Is there any other way I can convert this date into m/d/yy?

In Cell A2 I want to write a formula that says: Insert 'Warranty' if the system date is within 365 days of the date in Cell A1.
I am looking to create a function that outputs the upcoming quarter end date based on a specified start date, for which the quarter end is based on a broken fiscal year ending december 15.
As an example, say that you sign up as a customer with an internet provider on 2014-01-01. The internet provider charges all their clients on a quarterly basis and have a broken fiscal year ending on december 15. Hence, as you signed up on 2014-01-01 you will be charged on 2014-03-15, which is the date of the company's first quarter end.
So what I would like to do is to set up a function that outputs the first date I will be charged based on the date that I sign up. If I sign up between december 2013-12-16 and 2014-03-15, the formula should output 2014-03-15. If I sign up between 2014-03-16 and 2014-06-15, the formula should output 2014-06-15 etc. etc.
I have a spread sheet for 12 months. I am wondering if there is a way to format to show in the cell only day of the month.

I have a selection of dates, I use sumproduct on a seperate page to calculate the number of entries between two dates entered in seperate cells

Cell B1 conatins the date 01/01/2007, and cell B2 contains the date 31/01/2007. I repeat this for every month of the year.
I want to be able to change the year of these dates in B1 and B2 from a seperate cell on another page.. so I can change the search ranges to 2008 without going into each cell and changing it manually.
I have dates in my column “A”, for example (A1 cell =22-Mar-1971), (A2 cell=30-Dec-1965). Now my requirement is in B column date and month from A column and year should take current year. Output in B column (B1 cell =22-Mar-2009), (B2 cell=30-Dec-2009)

Currently column B is formatted to Date and simply has =A+84 and will display a date 3 months in future. However if there is no date in column A, then column B displays a default 1900 date.. Is there a way of making this blank if there is no date in col A?
I am entering data for ships arrived every month. There are about 200 records to be entered and for every record there are 4 date fields.
My question is : Is it possible to set default month (for ex = July) and year ( for ex = 2013 ) in these 4 cells so that
If I just type 16 it should be 16/07/2013. Because all my dates will be within that month July 2013.
Please refer to attached Sinking Fund worksheet. have managed to solve most of it. Just need to figure out how to match the periods out. My requirements are on the worksheet.

DATE function won't return TODAY()'s year in the "year" slot.

I have a sheet in my workbook with at least 180 small tables, there may be more.
I woulds like to be able to change total formulas for all tables at once to show either year-to- date or total year.
For example:
If we have only progressed through the second period of the year, I would like to choose something to indicate period 2. At other time I may want to know the total year whether the periods are completed or not.
I have a sum formula that adds 3 different cells from 3 different columns to reach my total profit. The sum total will occasionally be rounded up one cent. I have check formatting and it is set to accounting with 2 decimal places. The formula is the same in each row as well as the format of each cell. Why would the formula occasionally round up?
