Dec 23, 2008I m trying to write a formula for my financial model. If anyone can take a stab at a solution. I'm trying to write a formula that will equally distribute revenue either over the next 1 month, 2 month or 3 month period depending on size of the deal.
Details:
Sales will fit in 1 of 3 categories. Less than 25k; between 25k & 100k; greater than 100k.
- if under $25K, recognize in next month (month N+ 1)
- $25K-100K, recognize in two equal parts in months N + 1 and N + 2
- over $100K, recognize in three equal parts over 3 months
N + 1, N + 2, N + 3 ...
Finding Current Month Total Sales Using Current Month To Date Sales In Formula / Macro?
Aug 20, 2013Basically, I'm doing a recorded macro for work where I take an export and manipulate the data to show differences between sales from last year and this year. Also comparing this months projected sales to avg of last 6 months and also against last years this month.
The problem I'm running into is in automating the this month sales for mid-month exports. I can do it individually but I can't find a formula that will do it. Data is in one cell per month, so ex. 130 sales this month so far. I need to have it convert that to projected sales for total month based on what day it currently is.

Dec 6, 2006I am trying to write a program that needs to select a different cell everytime it is ran. For example, this month when it runs I need it to select cell BL137. Next time it is ran it will need to select cell BL138. Month after BL139. The cell it selects will always be in the same column (column BL) and the cell number always increases by the same amount (1).

Jan 11, 2007I have 2 columns in a a sheet, some cells in the second (not all cells) contains the current month's number (it comes after the multiplication sign in those formulas).
i need a macro that allows me automatically to advance the month's number each month in this formula (just the month's number), if it's 1 advance to 2, 2 to 3, 12 to 1 etc....
see a example of my formulas below, the formulas are in colomn B, the month number is whatever comes after * (multiplication sign).
example:

Apr 21, 2012Here is the attached Excel file and the following is the desired output of the macro:
1.) List the data (Names) of the Columns D (Input), F (Analyze), and H (Output) in Sheet1 to Column A (Name of Person) in Sheet2. There should be no repetition of two names.
2.) Count the number of entries of each person in the Column D (Input) in Sheet1 appears per month (basis is the Input Date column E) and record into the corresponding month in Sheet2 under the Input Header.
3.) Add the total of the 12 months in the YTD column under the Input Header.
4.) Repeat steps #2-3 for the Column F (Analyze) and Column H (Output) of Sheet1 with the results recorded in their corresponding headers in Sheet2.
5.) Note: The data in Sheet1 is a running data and continually adds up as the current year goes by. If there is a way the macro could take that into account it would be much better.

Macro To Look For Days Of Month And Unhide Columns
Aug 26, 2013I have a spreadsheet with all 365 days of the year in row 20 along 365 columns. I have buttons for each month of the year.
The days of the month are signified along row 20 from cell "H2" onwards as 1-Jan, 2-Jan, 3-Jan and so on until 31-Dec.
When I click on the "June" button (or any of the buttons with the month) I would like the columns with all the days from that month to unhide.

Daily Worksheet Macro - Make Copy Of Template For Each Day Of Month?
Dec 22, 2011We have a workbook that we create each month that has one worksheet per day of the month, labeled 12_01_2011, 12_02_2011, 12_13_2011...etc. The pages are an empty template with formulas and fields in place that we simply copy and paste the results of an SQL query into. Presently, we are copying the page manually several times over, and then manually renaming the pages with the new dates for the upcoming month.
So, here is my question. Macro that I might use that would:
1) Make a copy of the template for each day of the month.
2) Label each page in sequence with the dates for the upcoming month.

May 30, 2008I have a workbook with approximately 30 worksheets. This workbook already has a massive macro that I've written. I'd like to write a code that will take a designated worksheet, check to see if there is data in cell A2, if so, save it as a new workbook.
The name of the workbook should be predetermined, for example "SIA April(Previous Month) 2008(Current Year) P-Card Import Template.xls"
The months and years will need to change.

Dec 25, 2013Need to create year to date sales comparing 4 years month by month. Stacked chart (Excel 2010) works OK for the first three months but adding the fourth month changes the chart to 4 series with a monthly axis. To put it another way I need a vertical axis of years and a horizontal axis of $$$ with each months sales of each year stacked on its year.

I am wondering if there is a way for an user to enter a Month and a Year at the top of the page and that in turn automatically fills in the days of the month by week.
So in attached sheet there are 5 boxes representing 5 weeks in a month. So if we used May 2014 as an example I would like to know if there is a way that once May 2014 is entered in up to top that. Excel fills in the dates in Week #1 with under Thursday showing 1st, under Friday showing 2nd as on for the entire month...
So as the month go by all user has to do is state the month and year and excel fills in the weekly dates for each day in month.

Apr 4, 2013I am working in a spreadsheet that contains a bunch of data, it is not limited, and varies. It has some fiels such as: name, date of birth, address, and others. I am interested in creating a column with only the month digit of the date of birth for each row.
I have been working with some code, I am not quite sure how to continue. The following table would be a example that I have of the data, it has only to entry in the column of Date of Birth, but my data range will always vary. I want to get the month and past it in the next cell that is available in this case would be column c or 3... The worksheet name is REP.

On the last row of each month, I’m trying to perform a SumProduct on the two columns and display that result in column C.
The end of the range is determined by the month in the current row.

Jan 21, 2010I have a spreadsheet for monthly supplies. In row 1 is Jan – Dec and in the row 2 below are empty cells where there will be a total for that month’s purchases. I want a conditional format formula to automatically bold and highlight the current month’s total and month name.
Also, when I enter February totals next month and that number is input into February’s total, I want that month and total to bold and highlight BUT I also want the previous month’s bold and highlight to vanish at the same time. Is this possible?
