Object Library Invalid Or Contains References To Object Definitions

I'm getting the following error:
"Object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found"
I wasn't getting that error last night and I'm not sure what I may have done to cause this error.
It seems to be cause by code running on one sheet of my workbook, but I'm not really sure about that. I'm still a bit of a novice at VBA.
I'm using Excel 2002 SP3 and I'm running MS XP Home as my OS.
Do you have any ideas what can cause this error and/or how to trace down the offending objects/code?

how you know which object library to add to references when you want to automate an application?
for example Adobe acrobat.
or internet explorer ( ie).
I know that the .dll for ie id shdocvw (an i know it's explicitly listed under internet controls) but how would i know this is it wasn't listed?
Also, correct me if i'm wrong, but usung the shdocvw.dll will only give you access to the main controls of Ie nd you would need to add a HTML library to do anything use full. How do you know if there are other libraries available can make the 'usefulness' of one library more useful?

Our office has different versions of Office on different computers. We have a file containing macros specifically macros that interact with Outlook requiring the Outlook Object Library. If a 2013 opens and saves the file all the libraries get changed to 15.0. Then a 2010 Office opens the file ... the Excel Objects and Office Objects libraries change to 14.0 because of 2010, but then we getting the error about missing library. Instead of loading the Outlook 14.0 Object Library like it's supposed to the systems tries to find the 15.0, but can't find it and throws the error.
I have to manually go in to References and uncheck the Missing 15.0 outlook library and find and check the 14.0 one and click ok then the macros work fine.
My question is why do the other object libraries automatically change depending on the version of office and the outlook one doesn't.
Interestingly enough this doesn't happen the other way e.g. 2010 to 2013. Ones the file is saved using the 2010 with the 14.0 references 2013 has no issues converting those references to 15.0.

I am trying to run a macro that i have copied from another workbook (which works fine) and when i try to run the macro i am getting a 'compile error' which says "Can't Find Object or Library" and takes into VB editor which highlights the word "Trim", which is part of a formula. What does this mean? I can't understand why the same macro will work in another workbook but not in this one. Below is the full code, I would have attached the workbook but it would not work for you as it opens and saves files that you would not have. Hopefully someone can understand from the code.

I have this vba that copies the current sheet and renames it as well as copying the current sheet into a new workbook for emailing.
This has worked fine for the last 2 years or so but all of a sudden it doesn't want to work. The error message is that it "Can't find project or library."
Code:
Dt = Format(Range("C19").Value + 6, "DDMMYYYY")
Dt is dimmed as string and Dt is used to rename the new sheet.
I have looked througn the reference library and things seem ok.
This happens in Excel 2003 with Win8 and in excel 2013 with Win7.

i'm using a user form and i have the microsoft forms 2.0 Object Library checked. i have sent to another user, and i can't compile, when i took at this vba tools reference, microsoft forms 2.0 Object Library checked is missing (and not available in the drop down)...?

In a workbook made in Excel 2003, I have the following for a UserForm:
Private Sub UserForm_Activate
Me.Calendar1.Value = Date
End Sub
I copied this workbook to a computer with Excel 2007 and it bombs out at "Date"
It comes up with a compile error, "Can't find project or library"
In the references window (Tools, References) it has the "Missing: Ref Edit Control" checked and the location at the bottom of this window states "C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice11REFEDIT.DLL".
The reference to Office11 is from the computer with Office 2003 as the computer with Office 2007 has Office12.
There is another "Ref Edit Control" in the References window and when I check it and browse to the Office12 folder, highlight REFEDIT.Dll and click on open and in the references window on OK it comes up with "Name conflicts with existing module, project or object library". I have tried to delete the "Missing: Ref Edit Control", change the priority and change the reference in the missing control to Office12 but all to no avail.
How can I change the reference to the Ref Edit Control from Office11 to Office12?

I am getting the error from the title of the thread when I try to change a worksheet name.
This worksheet name doesn't already exist in the workbook and I don't have any other files currently open.
I'm not entirely sure what is causing this, but I do need the sheet to be the name I am trying to change to.

1) i have office 2003 on a laptop. within powerpoint, i can create a 'microsoft excel chart 11' object. to create a link to the excel data source, do i have to go through the odbc sql setup? it works, but i don't want my powerpoint to be dependent on some excel file somewhere. what are the other options to insert/make a functional pivot chart in powerpoint with the data also within powerpoint? the data as sheet option does not result in the chart being a pivot, it's just a plain chart. it has to be a proper object, not an image paste or a chart that updates links with the excel file open.
2) i have office 2007 on my other laptop. i can not find any suitable object to choose from to make a pivot chart in powerpoint. what's the best way to go about in 2007 version?
3) am i going about this the wrong way with the objects? should i be after vba code?

Running a worksheet with vba, at the start of the code I turn warnings off and at the very end of the code I turn them back on.When the routines complete a warning is raised:
A formula in this worksheet contains one or more invalid references.
Verify that your formulas contain a valid path, workbook, range name, and cell reference.
When I run Error Checking everything comes up clean.
Clicking on "Show Formulas" shows no formulas for there are no formulas on the sheet to show, just a chart, and clicking "Show Formulas" just turns my dates into serial numbers and screws up the display of the two comboboxes, messing the fonts and drop-down arrows, and since closing and reopening didn't revert the comboboxes back to normal I will now have to blow them away and resurrect them. I also see Show Formulas also messed up my command buttons. nice...
The only way I find to avoid the error is to turn Warnings OFF at the start of the charting routine and NEVER turn it back on.
I made certain that none of my names had any errors in them. Everything looks proper. So what next?
I fear something will create an error for me now along the lines of Murphy's Law

I am combining the information from multiple files--one per state, for several states--into a single large table so it's more easily reviewed. Each file has multiple worksheets, named for categories. The category/worksheet names are standardized, but not all worksheets are found in every file.
There is some overlap of items from state to state, so my macro copies key fields from each worksheet and pastes them into the new table and adds a column on the left with the name of the category/worksheet each item came from. It then removes any duplicates to create a list of unique items. Across to the right, the table has two columns for each state, one to show if the item exists there, and the other the date it was added.
In the final step I am using lookup formulas to populate the states columns, using the category/worksheet name from the left-hand column to identify which worksheet to pull from. When a worksheet doesn't exist in a source file, however, this creates an invalid reference.
Is there any way to use VBA to identify which worksheets are in a file so I can use the results in an IF/THEN statement to bypass any lines that would create the invalid references?

I have a rather complicated workbook with many VBA formulas. When I close it down a window displays "A formula in this workbook contains one or more invalid references". verify that your workbook contains a valid path, workbook, range name, and cell reference.
This only happens when I close the workbook. I seem to have all functionality. How can I find the invalid reference.

Everytime I save my workbook, I get a dialog box that says:
"A formula in this worksheet contains one or more invalid references. Verify that your formulas contain a vlid path, workbook, range name, and cell reference."
First off, it say's "this" worksheet no matter what worksheet is active.
Usually the culprit is a screwed up name that has a #REF in it somewhere. Not this time. All of the formulas appear to be working fine.
Is there an audit feature that will find the errors for me? (Excel 2007)

I am having difficulty getting a form to work the way that I would like it to work. I have a form that is used to display questions that my students will be answering. The form also is used to put the answers into a worksheet. I have 2 sheets. Sheet2 has the questions, student answers, and correct answers. Sheet1 is used to indicate correct answers and to keep track of percentage correct. I am fairly new to VB. I have 2 pieces of code that I am going to post. The first one works and the second one doesn't.
This is in the "This Workbook" section and it works.

I have some spreadsheets that rely on data being pulled in from external querys (from an SQL database).
the below line of code is part of a Workbook_Open() sub, which refreshes the data.
Selection.QueryTable.Refresh BackgroundQuery:=False
I have just got my hands on acopy of Excel 2007 (Yes!!!), but when i open my sheets my code now fails
Ater some messing around Ihave found that if I add ListObject" as below, it now works.
Selection.ListObject.QueryTable.Refresh BackgroundQuery:=False
trouble is it doesn't work for the rest of the office, who didn't get Excel 2007
is it possible for me to have this so that it works for both flavours of Excel?

I have inserted a workwook in another workbook that the user will have to edit and save changes from time to. I have the excel file inserted as an object. when I double click it the file opens and I can save changes made.
I'm trying to create a macro that can open the object from other tabs. i used the macro recorder and got this

I have a sub which loads a bitmap image onto a sheet, lets say to sheet1 ,cell B2, the reference sheet1!b2 is held on sheet2 in column A.
how to add a hyperlink to the image so that when it is clicked it looks at looks at the value on sheet2 and creates hyperlink to that cell, effectively selecting the cell underneath the image. I've tried this with text - using the following in a cell:
=HYPERLINK("[LoCQ34.xlsm]indirect(Sheet2!A2",Sheet2!B2) - this works for a text link, using the add hyperlink from the right click menu but doesnt do what I want with a bitmap, and I'm not sure how I'd do this in VB.
So, i would like to know it can it be applied to an image, and how can it be done in VB as the value in Sheet2 changes?

I'm writing a little program for a co-worker of mine to make their job a little easiar. Here is the code that I have written so far. The first 2 parts of it work perfectly fine, but if it gets to the 3rd part I get an Object Variable or With Not Set. I understand this is horribly written code as I am kind of a beginner and just do things by trial and error.
