I have to figure out the date of 3 months ago from today. The rule is:
1) if today is the month end (e.g. 30/06/2013), then 3 months ago will also be the month end (e.g. 31/03/2013).
2) if today is not the month end (e.g. 10/06/2013), then 3 months ago will have the same day (e.g. 10/03/2013). But this has some exceptional case, because some month has 30th while other month does not. For example, if today is 30/05/2013, then 3 months ago will be in February which does not have 30th. In this case, just make it as the month end of 3 months ago.

Trying to do a linkback from another post located here but not having much luck doing it: [URL]
I'm working with 2 date columns and trying to filter a view to only include projects with dates within 3 months of today's date.
I've attached a current working file of the data and the end result i'm hoping to achieve via a macro of some sort.
I've manually got it to work via formula by inserting 2 additional columns (highlighted yellow) which determine if the dates "YES" fall in this 3 month time frame of "" blank if not.
create a macro which does all of this automatically without modifying any columns if this is possible

I'm trying to filter 2 date columns to include only data containing dates within 3 months of today's date.
I see there is a data filter option for "next quarter" but not 100% sure if this covers the quarter from today's date?

I'm in Excel 2010, and the cell with the date I want to work from is G22e?
EDIT: I'm trying to get the difference of the (date+12 months)-TODAY() to appear in months and days. (I also meant H22 not G22)
Here's the latest thing I tried (that doesn't work):
=IF(DATEDIF(H22,TODAY(),"y")>=1,DATEDIF(H22,TODAY(),"y")&" yrs, "&DATEDIF(H22,TODAY(),"ym")&" mths, "&DATEDIF(H22,TODAY(),"md")&" days",IF(DATEDIF(H22,TODAY(),"ym")>=1,DATEDIF(H22,TODAY(),"ym")&" mths, "&DATEDIF(H22,TODAY(),"md")&" days",DATEDIF(H22,TODAY(),"md")&" days"))
EDIT #2: I guess I should probably note that the date in H22 is the result of another formula

I have a data table with monthly data in columns (65 rows deep), with the months (in format dd/mm/yyyy but showing as Dec 05) running across Row 4.
I want to be able to use OFFSET to identify the current and previous 5 months, in order to dynamically chart various items in the last 6 months worth of data.
The charting bit I'm okay with, and I realise I need to assign Names for this to work, but I'm struggling with the OFFSET & date combination.
I have the following but it starts from a defined reference cell;
=OFFSET('BO Data'!$L$4,0,('BO Data'!$4:$4)-1,1,-6)

I have written the formula below that returns to me a total value of all products named ABCD where date is greater than in A3 which works fine.
=SUMPRODUCT(($CE$4:$EW$4>$A$3)*($A$5:$A$85="ABCD")*($CE$5:$EW$85))
CE4:EW4 = date range (Format MMM-YY)
A3 = A single date (format MMM-YY)
A5:A85 = Column of product names
CE5:EW85 = values
I am looking to add to this criteria to return where date is > A3, but only for the next 6 months.

I am trying to add the total values from twelve months sales together, then when i add the next months sales value (month13) it is added to the twelve months total but the first months value is deducted from the total. So basically it is a rolling twelve months total figure that both adds the latest months value and deducts the first months value automatically. i am not sure if this is possible in excel 2007.

I am trying to update our sickness spreadsheet for work to make it a little more 'intuitive' and less cumbersome to use. There are dates (by day) accross the top, with staff names below. If someone is off sick, the manager writes the number of hours lost to sick in that day, under the correct day, then uses back color / font color to show its sick.
Our work uses a 3 periods of absence or more over a rolling 12 months and the staff are issues with a warning, same with over 8 days off sick. If they are off for longer than 14 days they are long term sick.
I would like excel to show whether each staff member has met any of those criteria in the last 12 months by either highlighting their name or putting text into an adjacent cell.
I have tried using offset, named ranges and anything else I could think of to automatically increase the range +1 day very day, but I cant !

Im attempting to add number of dates within a column (B). I have 2 criteria: Today and person "William". Im using the following and return results is "0"
A: Name
B: Date
C: Type
=SUMPRODUCT(--(Data!$B$2:$B$3100=TODAY()),--(Data!$A$2:$A$3100="William"),--(Data!$B$2:$B$3100))
Once I get this working I would like to adjust for last 30days and look at Type (C) = New

I have the formula for calculating a 13 week rolling average, but I need to be able to set goals in the future and still have the average calculate from current and not from future.
I have my dates set up in row 3 (these dates are all mondays, not every day) and my data in row 4. I need the 13 week rolling average to calculate starting from the prior monday and going back 12 more mondays for the 13 weeks. IE: This monday I'm running reports that the info will be entered into the previous week's monday.
Here is the formula that I'm currently using: =AVERAGE(OFFSET(K4,,COUNT(K4:BV4)-13,,13))
The formula works but will calculate the average for 13 weeks prior based on the last cell with data in it. It's calculating the average of the last 13 weeks of next year.
how to make this work without having to remember my weekly goals every week??

I have a workbook that I'm using to tracking staffing patterns within a mental health agency. When the workbook opens the user is asked to pick a date range and an office location. I've placed code into the userform that pre-fills the "start date" with today's date and the "end date" 7 days from today's date. I would like the user to be able to enter a unique date range should they wish but I have yet to figure out the coding to accomplish my goal.

I am trying to get the results of the number of days between today and a future date. I am using ="cell containing futuredate"-today() and it gets me the correct number of days. The problem comes in when I have yet to populate the future dates. I am getting -39991 (numeric value between today and jan 01 01) and because I am also using conditional formatting this is even more of a problem. Is there a way get excel to display nothing if it is a negative number? or to give a specified resut if the number becomes negative such as Expired or something of that nature?

To calculate current value of loan i have the below formula below with the 3 being the current period
=IPMT(4.3%/12,3,5*12,-7000)/(4.3%/12)
What i would like to do is for the period to be self calcuating from current date and the loan start date. I can return a value in days using start date - today() and aware month function returns the month number but stuggling to find a way to work out cumulative month from the start date.

I have a spreadsheet that tracks “points” for hourly associates on a daily basis that totals weekly and monthly. This spreadsheet works on a rolling calendar year instead of a fiscal and I need to be able to capture the totals for periods of time by days.
For example, I would need to view how many points ‘employee x’ has from 2/25/09 through 2/25/10. I have attached the spreadsheet, which includes tabs for each week ending and a summary page.

If a1,a21,a41 have a value greater than 0, I wish to stamp cell b1,b21,b41 and so on with todays date, but without the stamped value changing/advancing tomorrow. At the moment cells b1,b21,b41 are copied down as follows. =if(a1>0,TODAY(),"") This works fine, but the date stamp of course changes tomorrow. I can not apply code to the whole b column as cells b2:b20, b22:40 etc have other non-date format data to which the code does not need to apply - the todays date value cell occurs every 20 cells.
