etc. for all days of the month, and all months of the year.
(The gold coloured cells are part of a formula I have somewhere else - no need to worry about them)
I was wondering - is there a way to get it so that whatever todays date is, the calendar will highlight the column a specific colour (e.g.) if the date was the 5th January, it would look like this:
January 20091234567891011February 200912345678
(Although not nescessarily that specific (and frankly pretty horrible) shade of green).
I have a list of all the HTML codes, palette numbers and hex codes for all the excel colours.
I'm using Excel 2003.
I've got a chart showing values for a set of dates. Can I highlight dynamically the data point on the chart with a specified date? I've fiddled around with formatting but suspect I may have to resort to some code..
View 4 Replies View RelatedI currently have a worksheet that when a user clicks on the cell, a calendar form opens. From here they can select a date, click ok, and the date gets placed in the corresponding cell they clicked on.
Now if the user needs to change that date, i want them to be able to click on the cell again, and when the calendar opens, the date in the cell would be selected on the calendar. I was able to do this in a userform, but im not sure how to edit it to work on the worksheet. I am using the below to populate the calendar.

I have an excel sheet wherin there is a column that has the data where in the dates are displayed and many other columns.
I get this excel every Thursday so i want to filter this date column in such a way that it give me the data related to the date of the previous week only yet there is a catch here. When i say previous week i mean.
Suppose today is 03/14/14 then i want the data from 03/07/14 till today ie Last week friday to this week full( so cant use Current week option) and then paste it in a new sheet.
I tried the Record part but in that it is taking a hard coded value as i am selecting the date myself. I dont want to change the date manually every time.

I have a program where I can update the calibration due date of an item. I have attached a cut down version of my program showing the relevant areas. There is usually password protection on the worksheet so it can only be edited via the form (the vba coding removes the password protection before editing, then re-enables the password protection after editing). The "Update Calibration" button is usually on a "Menu" sheet.
Once the form is opened a serial number is typed in the textbox. The calendar button is then clicked, which brings up another form with the calendar on. The due date is selected on the calendar. When "OK" is clicked, the date label caption is then changed to the selected calendar date. When "Submit" is clicked, the spreadsheet will search for the Serial Number, once found, the label caption (being the date selected) will be entered into the cell to the right of the serial.
If the day selected on the calendar is greater than 12 the date is entered correctly onto the sheet. example: calendar date selected = 15/01/2010. shown on sheet as 15/01/2010. However, if the day selected on the calendar is 12 or less, the date is for some reason entered incorrectly onto the sheet. example: calendar date selected = 08/12/2010. shown on sheet as 12/08/2010???? What is going on here? how come the day and month are swapped around if the day is less than 12????

I want to select a date of choice from a calendar in a field within an Excel spreadsheet.
I do not know how to do userforms and so that is why I wonder if I can add this in just a spreadsheet.

Basically, I'm doing a recorded macro for work where I take an export and manipulate the data to show differences between sales from last year and this year. Also comparing this months projected sales to avg of last 6 months and also against last years this month.
The problem I'm running into is in automating the this month sales for mid-month exports. I can do it individually but I can't find a formula that will do it. Data is in one cell per month, so ex. 130 sales this month so far. I need to have it convert that to projected sales for total month based on what day it currently is.
I'm working on a macro code that would create a Purchase Order number based on that day's date. So it's pretty simple since all you need to do is have a macro insert the formula:

However, i don't want in the PO number any "/" or "-", is there a way to omit these? And is it possible to also make the current year in two digits and not four?
So if the PO number were to be today's date then it would look like this "6614".
I'm having trouble with setting a date stamp with one. I'm creating a database in which a macro will take data from a table and compile it into a list. The first column of the compiled list should have the date the data was added (static - it shouldn't update afterwards). This is because the list will be added onto multiple times.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to write a batch file that connects to a database and passes in an SQL query. One of the conditions of this query is the date. I need the batch file to figure out what todays date is and pass that in.
This is what I currently have.

When I run the batch file, it asks me to input the dates manaully in the format DD-MON-YYYY (eg 7-NOV-2006). I need the batch file to figure this out on it's own.
Is there some function I can call to do this?

That is the layout of the spreadsheet so I would have to manually highlight rows 2 and 4 because the date in Column D is greater than 48 hours ago. The range is A1:D25 and the cells are changed/updated daily.

However, I'd like for it to also save them together in a new folder using the current month and date (named: QA Files May_05.06.14). The month and date would change according to current month/date. How would I incorporate that into this code? I am not good with macros.

I am trying to allow the Command Button when clicked to go through multiple conditions before making a decision. So, when someone clicks on Command Button 3 the code should look to see if CheckBox1 is true, then it should check today's date, and if it is between a range of days, or even months, then it would add the number in TextBox1 with the amount already in cell H18. This event will happen every time someone clicks on the Command Button.
The end result is to have several sheets (4 total) for each quarter in the fiscal year, and if the dates are within those parameters, the clicking of the command button will update the correct sheet.
I have a calendar where the months are listed at the top of the columns and the day of the week is listed in the row. The months and dates are all formatted as a date (Jan is 1/1/2014).

Example
Initial Date :- 1st of January 2014
Frequency :- every 5 weeks
Current Date :- 9th of March 2014
Next Due date should be :-12th of March 2014 (if I worked it out correctly from my paper calendar)
I want to use a cell formula to do this for different initial dates and varying frequency periods (the frequency will always be whole weeks i.e. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,8,10)

Ive searched a number of websites and so far havent seen what I need.
I want the calendar, once my form has been opened, to automatically change to the current date.
So in summary, the code, I believe would look something like this:
I have userform with date pickers and have text boxes overlaid on these, when I select todays date from the date picker it does not display the current date in the text box (I have 8 date pickers on the userform). If I select another date then reselect the current date it works. It has occasionally worked but why.
Below is the code for populating the text box from the Date Picker.

I have two columns of dates, leave start and end dates (when people start leave i.e. annual leave). Would need to introduce column(s) to calculate how many days fell within the month including the end date and excludes weekends.
For example, if the staff on leave from 31st March to 6 April, i need to show that the number of leave taken as 1 day in March and 4 days in April.
Trying to automate the period part of the impt function
To calculate current value of loan i have the below formula below with the 3 being the current period
=IPMT(4.3%/12,3,5*12,-7000)/(4.3%/12)
What i would like to do is for the period to be self calcuating from current date and the loan start date. I can return a value in days using start date - today() and aware month function returns the month number but stuggling to find a way to work out cumulative month from the start date.
I created a basic excel weekly budget and would like to know how much money I have as of todays date. on the top row I have a date range from Sunday to Saturday, so it looks like this:
09-15 16-22 23-29
with the month manually put in above it.
then below I have income and expenses with a Overall below that, so basically what I want to is see the Overall value based on todays date, not sure how to do this with the weekly range and automatic current date(which is =TODAY() as far as I know) I have attached a photo as a reference.
