Excel 2013 :: Disable Automatically Scrolling To The Top Of Current Cell?
Jan 2, 2014I am using Excel 2013. I have a spreadsheet that has a lot of very tall cells. When I use the scrollbar to scroll to certain parts of the spreadsheet it will automatically scroll up or down to the top of a cell. So if I want to view the middle of two tall cells that take up the whole screen it will automatically scroll up to the top of the highest cell that I'm currently viewing.
I just want to be able to scroll to where I want to scroll without Excel moving me up or down. I've tried to find answers on message boards but no luck.
Scrolling Area Code
May 29, 2008I have a sheet in which I want to limit the scrolling area to B2:B60 & D2:H60, in other words I don't want to include neither A2:A60 nor C2:C60 in my scrolling area.
Is there a way to do this?
I know I can lock the cells, however, pre-existing code will not work if cells are locked.
Scrolling In UserForm Frame By A Code
Feb 28, 2010Is it possible to scroll down in a UserForm Frame with a VBA Code in excel. My frame in the userform has a scroll height of 600 and a lot of option buttons. Based on a selection in a ComboBox(using If statement), I'd like to scroll down to a certain amount in the Frame.

May 11, 2007I have two radio buttons. Let's call them Button_1 and Button_2. They both have code behind the click event.
One of the lines in the Button_1 code makes the value of Button_2 false. If Button_2's value at the time is true, the Button_2 click event fires off and runs through it's code.
How do I disable Button_2's click event in this scenario so the value changes, but the code in it's click event won't run?
I tried application.enableevents = false, but that didn't do it.

Allow User To Disable Event Code
Dec 29, 2007I have these codes in place in my excel file, there is nothing wrong with them at all. Here is the the problem : My superior runs the macros in place in the file almost daily, and when he is done he then closes it and all is well.
The macros does things to other files so they are changed in a way that the supervisors like them. I avoided putting macros in these individual files, because of the attempt to make it as simplistic as possible without them being able to affect overall file.
The problem happens when he (my superior) accidently makes a change in the primary sheet in the workbook with all the macros, it affects alot of my formulas and macros that are already in place. Within this workbook, it keeps a log of things from the other files results, so I have to have a record of it in the workbook, hence having a save event in place.
The Question: Is it possible to create a macro button, that will allow him to disable the codes below, so that he can close it and open again, so that it doesn't show any of the errors that happens by accident and try to close it again so there is no errors? Basically, I am asking what is the code for this, and where would I place it in.

I noltice that one uses "Option Explicit" and one doesn't, one seems to be longer than the other, but when I tested both, they both seem to do the same thing. I did notice that neither one of them prevents a "paste" into the worksheet when something is copied from an outside source, but that is not a concern right now!!!
Definable Scrolling
Nov 30, 2008I've created a worksheet with split panes. I'm able to scroll through my data vertically and horizontally while keeping one area of th screen stationary. Here's my question:
Is there a way to limit the movement of my scroll bars so that it can't move beyond the viewable portion of my worksheet? In other words, I want the scrolling to end when there is nothing else to see but a field of empty cells.

I can't find a scroll event in the windows code to trigger a macro to run itself.
I can get around it by using a selection change event which would restrict me to moving around with the cursor keys/Pageup/down, but I've got 15,000 to review regularly in a short space of time and it would be quicker by mouse

Feb 2, 2014I'm having a problem working with a protected document made by another user.
The sheet has a vertical split at column F, and when I use the arrow keys to scroll right beyond this line (ie from column G and beyond), when I reach the last column (BB), it just loops straight back to the beginning (column F). This also happens in the same direction.
How I can stop this happening, so that it just stops when it reaches the end of the document?
There doesn't appear to be any coding on the sheet.
Scrolling Bar Within A Cell For Text
Jul 5, 2014I have a spreadsheet where I want to put notes in, but I don't want to re-size the cell as it will ruin the format. The amount of information will vary from entry to entry, each entry into the sheet will have its own row and within that entry I want to dedicate one column's cell for that entry's notes. Is there anyway to make a macro for a scroll bar for individual cells so I can scroll though the text entered in that cell. I have tried a text box but the text overflows once the amount of text over fills the text box.

Feb 1, 2010I want is a form that has three different partsof it. Each part containing checkboxes, a spreadsheet, textboxes and labels. But I only want to display one of these parts at a time, depending on what the user clicks.
I know I could write code to move everything into the visible part of the form but that would be messy. I hoped I could find some way to instead move the visible part. Like if I had scrolled.
An example. Say the visible form is 100 high and 100 wide. When opening you see from the width 0-100 and height 0-100 (pixels or whatever those things sould be called). Upon pressing a button I instead want to see width 101-201 and height 101-201.

Oct 28, 2006I have adapted Andy Pope's scrolling chart and have done some searching here on how to adapt this chart to plot at least two lines. For example, have sales data for the months of 2005 on one line and sales data for the months of 2006 on the other line so that corresponding months move together. Oct 19, 2007I have an excel sheet embedded in a Powerpoint presentation, but I have the problem that users are editing the sheet and accidently or unknowingly scrolling around. This results in the window resizing itself when the exit the object and messing up the appearance of the presentation. Is there a way of easily preventing scrolling (either via VBA or other)? I can obviously hide the scroll bars but that does not prevent the use of the mouse's scroll-wheel. I have also already hidden all unused columns and rows so that they cannot oversize the window.

Mar 14, 2008I have graphed a range of data that was generated using VB, but the data is a series of 6 models plotted against each other over a period of 6 years and the data is daily and as such would be useful to reduce the range to look at certain periods , is it possible to do this using the mouse to select a region or would something like embeded text boxes for the ranges of dates the user could enter be better, or would it be better to move away from excel for this part of it be better. Also is it possible to plot say range A1:A5 and A20:A25 against the the relevent dates to examine two separate periods side on side.
