Hyperlink Multiple Images At Once

Feb 14, 2009

I have about 20,000 hyperlinks in my excel sheet that I would like to assign to individual images.

For example, how do I link an image in cell A2, using a hyperlink from cell B2?

I know that if I wanted to simply hyperlink text, I would use =HYPERLINK(B2,"text"), but this reference won't work for images.

I also know I can right click on the image and insert a hyperlink that way, but this obviously isn't practical because I am working with over 20,000 links.

Export Multiple Sheets As Images

Aug 4, 2014

I have a large workbook in which each sheet contains either a single table (large or small) or a chart (various types and sizes). Some of the sheets also contain imported icons and shapes. I wonder if it is possible to export each of these worksheets as separate images? The macro should be able to set the boundaries of a table or a chart to export (either itself or by using the coordinates which are given in two cells – eg. A30=A1, L1=F8). Actually all tables and charts will always start at A1.

Ideally it should just take the coordinates of a range to be exported from single cell (eg L1=F8) - the fist being always A1 - so as to minimize the probability of it getting the boundaries wrong. I have attached the sample worksheet with a few tabs.

And yes - each worksheet image would need to be saved with the name of the worksheet.

Select Multiple Cells Based On Multiple Criteria?

Sep 25, 2013

I would like a macro that select all cells based on multiple criteria. It's a big sheet, but I've made it smaller in the following example.

In row 1, there are 2 headers, in B1 (electricity) and C1 (gas) In column A, there are 3 houses, in A2, A6 and A10. The blocks of cells in between (e.g. B2:B5) have 2 headers, 'period' in B2, and 'account number' in B4. B3 and B5 have a list of options in them.

I want to select cells that meet certain criteria. Either electricity or gas, and either period or account number. So, if in cell D1 I choose electricity and in D2 period, I would like to select B3, B7 and B11. If I choose gas and account number, I wish to select C5, C9 and C13.

Multiple Checkboxes: VBA Select All/None

Sep 1, 2006

I have several checkboxes in a form and the program will run different macros depending on what the user chooses. There are 9 checkboxes total. 1 checkbox activates all other checkboxes while the other eight are the options. If a user clicks the All checkbox, the other 8 are activated. If All is unchecked, the other 8 are unchecked. The trick is that I want the All checkbox to change to False if any of the 8 options are triggered to False. The problem I am having with the code I have is that if I trigger any of the options to False, the chkAll macro kicks in and turns all of the checkboxes to False, not just chkAll. Somehow, I've tried using the Change and the Click event with chkAll but it seems to be behaving the same using one or the other. I have pasted the code below as well as included an attachment of the file with the form.

Private Sub chkAcq_Click()
If chkAcq.Value = False Then
chkAll.Value = False
End If
End Sub

Private Sub chkAdmin_Click()
If chkAdmin.Value = False Then
chkAll.Value = False
End If
End Sub.........................

Select Multiple Areas

Dec 23, 2006

I have a userform that has two comboboxs on it. When the user clicks and selects an item in combobox 1 the code will highlight an area of cells that I set before. When the user clicks and selects an item in the combobox2 I need a piece of code that will highlight a second area of cells while still keeping the first areas of cells highlighted.

How I have it set up now if the combobox1.text = "Monday" then the cells B6:H20 are selected. But when the combox2 click event fires and selects another range of cells the first range selected by the combobox1 event is unselected. Is there a way to keep both areas selected?

Select Multiple Dropdown Menus At Once?

Mar 9, 2013

I have a 'diet diary' that I have built in excel that has many of the common meals I eat and details calories, carbohydrates, fats, etc and I use it to keep track of what I have eaten in the day.

However, one of the features is that on the front sheet I have lots of drop down menus that I select the different things (example, milk, banana, spaghetti bolognese) which in that puts in the nutritional info. However, each day I have different numbers of items to put in so I have to change the slots that no longer have an item in back to the default value so that it doesn't add calories. What would be ideal is if I could highlight a bunch of boxes at once and then make them all select the 'no-item' option in the drop down box simultaneously rather than selecting them all individually.

Select Multiple Rows Depending On Value Of A1?

Mar 23, 2014

I have a spreadsheet with employees and data listed. The drop-down in A1 lets someone select the employee and then it hides the rows for all other employees. I want to add the names of supervisors in the drop-down of A1 and have it select only the employees under that supervisor and hide the rest. The number of employees under each supervisor ranges from 3 to 6. This is what I have to hide the rows when selecting a single employee :

[Code] .........

My workbook has stats data on the "Master" sheet(sheet #1) and analysts and supervisors on "Analysts" sheet(sheet #12). Data validation for cell A1 on "Master" sheet has all the analysts and supervisors in the first column of "Analysts" sheet with title "Select Analyst" in cell A1. I modified the "Analysts" sheet to show supervisors from B1:I1 and listed the analysts in the appropriate columns below them. Not sure how to make it select the analysts when someone selects the supervisor on "Master" sheet .

How To Select Multiple Sheets And Print Them

Apr 14, 2014

I'm trying to select multiple sheets and print them out. At this time the code is only printing out the "Work Order" sheet. I'm guessing it's something to do with the PrintOut command trying to print the active sheet and not the array?

Code:

Sheets(Array("Work Order", "Timesheet", "Communications")).Select
Sheets("Work Order").Activate
ActiveSheet.PrintOut Copies:=1, Collate:=True

I have also tried the following but it just prints out every page in the workbook.

Code:

Sheets(Array("Work Order", "Timesheet", "Communications")).Select
Sheets("Work Order").Activate
Sheets.PrintOut Copies:=1, Collate:=True

I've also tried the PIDOOMA approach with this and failed

Code:

Dim TechnicianPack As Variant
TechnicianPack = Sheets(Array("Work Order", "Timesheet", "Communications")).Select
Sheets("Work Order").Activate
TechnicianPack.PrintOut Copies:=1, Collate:=True

Select Case Multiple Options

Apr 5, 2007

I have a Case Select statement I just learned how to use yesterday (kind of) What I am wondering is can I have multiple arguements or conditions to each case? For example: my sheet is a "Job Cost Estimate" for construction sales people. The section I am working on is "Fasteners"

I have 2 drop down boxes per line. The first box selects the fastener type, (Screw, Nail, Auger) the next box selects the size in inches and half inches (16 different sizes). Currently the select statement is set up for screws and says if this size then this price. I want to say if this type of fastener and this size then this price.

Additionally, when I select a size in my drop down box, I have to click somewhere else to get it to calculate. Is there a way to select the option and it auto calculates?

Here is my statement in my Worksheet selection change section:

Select Case Range("AZ21").Value ....

How To Render URL Images

Jan 29, 2014

I work for a small business and I'm in the process of creating a simple invoicing system. The only hang-up I've come across so far is rendering images. I want a thumbnail of the product to appear on the invoice, but haven't had any luck finding code or formulas online that solve my particular challenge.

So cells B26 and B27 are merged and contain the URL address to the image I want rendered. I would like to maintain the width of the column when the image is rendered, but the height can be extended to fit taller images. There is only one image per printed page (per invoice). The image will always be in column B, of course there will be several rows between those containing URLs/images. For example, the image will be in B26:27 on page one, B67:68 on page two, B108:109 on page three, and so on.

I have attached an example file to this post. Please note: the file is saved as .xls intentionally and any solution should be compatible with this format.

Invoicing Test_ozgrid.xls

solve this problem using either formulas or code

Images In Workbook

Sep 10, 2008

i have a spreadsheet of my stock (300 items) that contains a header row for all information concerning each item.

what i want is a thumbnail image (120x78) of the product to appear for each product (pic is stored on HD or web)

(it is possible to show a hyperlink to the image from the web or from my computer in the cell, but it seems to be impossible to display the actual image instead, bizarre, i could care less if it is actually in the cell or not)

i have found some code that has worked for others in a macro, just not for me. thus my header row is now (csv style):

imagename, imagepath, image, porduct

B-CH01_thm , C:/etc etc,an image,B-CH01
B-CH02_thm, C:/etc etc,an image,B-CH02
etc
etc
etc

The code (i assumed was for a macro) that did nothing when i ran it is below, i dont want a fix for this code either, any solution that will actually work is all i am after!

Querying Multiple Select Elements On Webpage?

I am trying to retrieve the "option" values and "inner text" from two dropdown lists on a website. Using the code below I can retrieve the data from the first list but the second dropdown is not populated until a value is selected in the first list.

Firstly, is it possible to specify a particular "select" element by using its "name" or "id" and if so how? Secondly, will I be able to populate the second list by looping through each of the values from the first list and retrieve the second list values each time?

I have been searching all day so far and cobbling together bits of code that I have found that do some but not all of the process I require.
