im trying to do is when i put an input in sheet 10 a1 i want sheet 1 a1 to equal it.they are both formated the same with formulas and column widths.ive tried making it equal A1:p7 but it just shows a1.

I have I workbook that contains 2 sheets. The first sheet "Business Objects" is the master list. The second sheet "Gene" contains similar data but is incomplete. There is a unique identifer for both sheets and that is item ID. what I would like to do is look at the Item ID column on sheet1 compare it to SS# on sheet two and copy any rows from sheet1 to the end of the sheet in sheet 2. I have found in my searches on this forum a bit of code that identifies the ones in sheet1 that are not in Sheet2 and highlights them red(which is not neccessary for me, but I am struggling to figure out how to take that and paste it to sheet2.

I am using the below code and it is not performing the operations of comparing and deleting the duplicate values from sheet1 and pasting unique values in sheet 1, p.s. Do not need values from sheet 2, just want to compare the sheet 1 with 2 and delete dups in sheet1.

I have two sheets of data: sheet1 and sheet2. Data in sheet 1 and sheet 2 are in pair, ex: row1 and row2 is 1 pair, row 3 and row 4 is one pair ect…I need a program that start from each pair in sheet1 and search for it in sheet2, if that pair already exist somewhere in sheet2, then cut that pair from sheet1 and paste it into sheet3.

Am using a VB for auto transpose values to sheet 2 from sheet 1 in MS EXCEL 2007.
What code to add to the already existing VB so that if someone is using the sheet and leaving the cell in E12, for example, and saving it, then the next user should find it again on A3 but not on E12.
The sheet should always open on A3..

Based on my attached sample, in Column J, upon selected "Yes", I would like to get the information from A6:H6 copied to sheet2 in the same row. I've tried it with the "if" formula and writing a macro for it.

I have 2 Worksheets in an Excel 2010 Workbook -
Sheet1
Column1: contains the word "dog"
Column2: contains the word "bark"
Sheet2
Column1: contains the sentence "I like dogs a lot."
Column2: is blank
What I need to do is search Sheet2/Column1 for the presence of "dog" and if it's present, populate the word "bark" in Sheet2/Column2 from Sheet1/Column2.
How can I do this?

I'm having trouble to get VLOOKUP to work. Basically I need to look up Management Teir information from Sheet1 onto Main sheet as per the file attached. Both RecordID columns are Text so they should work right? But VLOOKUP returns #NA error.

All data is located within one book. I have two sheets with material codes in each sheet which include pricing (existing and current)
Sheet1 (has existing material codes plus existing pricing) Has about 1200 lines
Sheet2 (has current material codes plus current pricing), has about 36000 lines
I need to cross check if the material code (taken from sheet1) are still available in sheet2, and if they are, copy the current price back to sheet1. The current price needs to be pasted back into sheet1 (next to the existing price). If the material code doesn't exist (for whatever reason, in sheet2), the program needs to move onto the next line and leave the current price for that material code blank. The program should finish once all the lines in sheet1 are completed. I have attached a sample of what I'm trying to do,

I've read on this forum before that it's possible to use expressions such as:
Sheet1.Select
...instead of:
Sheets("Sheet1").Select
The first of these has the advantage in that it is independent of the name of the sheet. It simply refers to the first sheet created in that workbook and, if deleted, it cannot be recreated. However, I seem to encounter errors whenever I try and use this approach.

how to stop macros running on a particular worksheet within a workbook. I have a workbook monitoring vehicle faults with a control sheet. The control sheet displays the reg no and a "traffic light" indicator highlighting faults next to the reg no. Traffic light is turned red and green by If blank control. Each vehicle has a worksheet where faults can be recorded and a menu bar at the bottom of the screen operates numerous macros to "email worksheet"-"clear and copy to history" etc etc. The menu bar though can also be viewed and operated while in the control sheet. If a macro is activated within the control sheet it destroys it as it was not designed the same as the worksheets. Can I programme the menu to be inactive when in the control sheet OR that the menu will only appear when in every other sheet.

I am enlcosing a file that I partially acquired (the macro portion) and I am trying to add to that.
The workbook has a dde link in sheet 1, the macro will write the data to sheet2 at set times. I am creating a report of the data in sheet 2 in sheet3. at this point it is very rudimentary. I need some assistance to clean up the macro and the post of the dat in sheet2. I have created a detailed (probably over detailed) explanantion in sheet 1 in a text box.

If I have 2 sheets names 'User Info' and 'Labels' what i'm looking to do is on the 'Labels' sheet under cell J2 to be able to enter a number, 505 in this case which searches for this number under column B of sheet 'User Info' finds it, looks to the entry in column D (the name Ken) and in turn puts the name into cell J2 in sheet 'Labels'.
The real life use for this is to search a phone extension number in User Info sheet, and use the user name at that extension number and place it in a label on the Label sheet for a reception phone. The Reception phone can have multiple extensions on it made up of any 3 digit number on any where from 3 keys to 12+. So the ability to search for 100-999 is needed.

In column A on sheet1 I have a list of unique numbers . On sheet2 I have a list of unique numbers that are available. I am currently using this formula,
=INDEX(Sheet2!A:A,MATCH(TRUE,INDEX(Sheet2!A:A"",0,1),0),1)
to look at sheet2 and tell me what number is next after I copy it to sheet1. My problem is how do I automatically generate the next number onto sheet1(by double clicking) and have that number removed from sheet2?
