Adding Data With Userform: Check For Duplicate Before Adding

I have a userform that I'm using to add data to a worksheet, with the following



Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Dim OutSH As Worksheet
Set OutSH = Sheets("Sheet1")

OutSH.Cells(nextrow2, 1).Value = Surname.Value
OutSH.cells(nextrow2,2).value = ID.value
OutSH.cells(nextrow2,3).value = Date.value
......
I need to ensure that duplicate entries are not made for the same person on the same date. The ID is unique to each person.

IF statement that can check for a duplicate and then come up with a dialouge box with some custom text, and then exiting the sub?

I am using the formula below to find the # of hours that staff worked.

=SUMPRODUCT(('Data 1'!$B$2:$B$601=B7)*(LEFT('Data 1'!$A$2:$A$601,2)=LEFT(C7,2))*'Data 1'!$D$2:$D$601)

B7 = Last Name
Left(C7,2) = First 2 Letters of the First Name
$D$2:$D$601 = Hours Worked

My only problem is that some staff show up in the list on "Data 1" twice as they work in 2 separate stores and I am only getting the hours worked at the first store. Is there a way to have excel add the hours for both stores? My data is sorted alphabetically so they will be one above the other.

I have 5 coloums in which the last three have numeric values. The first two coloums have name and country code. Now, The first two coloums have duplicate values but the rest of the corresponding columns have different numeriv values. What I want now is to add the numeric values of the coloumns of the duplicate data and want to display in the first row. For ex there are A = name , B= Country , C D and E contains different numeric values. A and B have dupilcate data but different C, D and E values. Now I want to add up the numeric values of the dupilcate data and get it displayed in a new coloum in the first row of the duplicate data set.

I have a sheet which has the following Columns:

Name..........Sales..........Returns..........Net

These are columns B,C,D,E,

Because the data is imported, it shows one row for the person's sales and another for their returns like this:

Dave...........100...............0...............(Blank)
Dave..............0.............-20..............(Blank)
Fred............200...............0...............(Blank)
Andy..............0............-500..............(Blank)

What I am trying to do is get the net sales of 80 in either of Dave's rows in the Net column, then I can hide the duplicate row. However, this is complicated by the fact that names without returns, (like Fred in this example,) do not have a second row. (This also applies to those names without sales, but with returns, like Andy).

I have a spreadsheet with data, such as the information below.

What I am trying to accomplish is adding the values in column E that have a matching value in Column D and placing the total value of that calculation in column F in the cell that holds the last value for the matching value in column D

This what I would like the data to look like.

As you can see I have added the values in coulmn E that have a matching (Value) in cloumn D and the result is placed in the cell next to were the matching value in column D is last seen before another value begins.

In my case there are sometimes hundreds of value 1, 10 of value 2 and 15 of value 3. Currently I have to pick the cell I want to place the total in, click the AutoSum button and select the matching values in Column D then hit enter to get my result.

The loop is putting the correct formula into the cell - but THEN... - I wish to (within the loop and before it moves on) check if the value is equal to OR greater than 1 - if it is, make it a value of 1 (this '1' is then used at the bottom of the column of data to give a total). I need to do this before it moves onto the next cell. What am I doing wrong? Is it because once it puts formula in the cell, it then moves down - do I need to select the cell again first? I have a userform that I use for data entry with lots of combo boxes, list boxes and text boxes

One thing i haven't cracked yet is to check for duplicates against two matching fields

If a user (for example) enters 'SAB' (which will be stored in column A) and then 'UK' (which will be stored in column B) and there is already an exact match for both, then I need to inform the user that a matching record already exists

The following is OK: (the dots below are meant to illustrate spaces between the columns!!)
Col(A).....Col(B)
SAB........UK
SAB........USA
SAB........Italy

BUT, if a user then tries to enter:

Col(A).....Col(B)
SAB........UK

I need my userform to register a duplicate entry.

I have a UserForm which has a multipage with 2 pages, each page has many controls and associated code. I now need to add a third page but cannot get the code supplied to work.

VB:

combobox1 is filled with values. I want the user to select one from combobox1 and combobox2 get filled in with unique values based on combobox1

based on the user selection (as an example Stanley)

I want combobox2 values to be 1,2,3,4 (having 3 listed only once)

Is there a way to modify the code below to verify that the (e) .offset(-1,0).value = combobox1

What I missed. I already added the MS VBA Extensibility 5.3 on a VBA Reference. but still got an error.

The error is on Line3, "Runtime Error '91': Object Variable or With block variable not set".

Adding Labels In A Userform With Combobox

I have a userform1 on there a combobox1 and a frame1. In that frame1 I want a number of labels to be added named "name" & number. The number varies depending on the value in combobox1. If combobox1 = "1" then I want 20 labels to be added. if combobox1="2" then I want 60 labels to be displayed.

label height=12, width=102, top=6 and left=6

for each following label the top = top + 14
and after each 10th label left = left + 120

If there's more than 30 labels then I need a scrollbar on the bottom of the frame to be displayed and so be able to see the other labels.

If the first value in combobox1 is "1" is selected and all is displayed and then I select "2" that is deletes all the current labels in the frame and then add 60 new labels.

I am creating a userform in excel 2010 (64 bit) that is a 14 question survey. I am trying to get a simple datepicker to appear when user clicks or tabs into a designated textbox which I have named TextBoxDate. I would then like the user to select a date and for that date to appear in the dd/mm/yyyy format in the textbox. Should be easy, right?

I have tried downloading several datepickers, most from the open source thread Non-activex Datepicker Calendar Control on this site. But I am unable to successfully tweak the code to get the datepicker to work how I want. I also am not looking for a datepicker that is complex with max and min date ranges etc.

I'm decently competent at VBA but no real experience with userforms. I have a very simple 3x2 table:

Type $Amount
Cash $xxxxxx
Product A $yyyyyy
Product B $zzzzzz

I want a simple userform that moves money between the products, ie the user selects a money amount in the form (ex: $1000) and that amount is added from one product and simultaneously subtracted from the other. Note that the amount selected would be subtracted from one product's current balance and added to the existing balance of another product. No new money is coming into the system.

I have a userform with 5 listboxes on the first page, each with multiple options. They are all set up so any number of options can be chosen.

2 are populated by the 'add item' method, and the other 3 pull data from 3 columns of the database when it's initialised to ensure all possible options are included.

My question is this - as there may be many options in each listbox to scroll through, if someone wanted to search on all the options in the listbox, it would be easier to have a 'Select All' option at the top, but I have no idea if this is possible, let alone how to do this -

I have 4 text boxes in a user form where user type numbers. At the end i have another text box(yellow one) that adds these numbers using this code.

I am not sure if this can be done easily but essentially what I have is a userform that fills out a form that will used by several different people and saved to a central location.

There is a blank combobox currently labeled "Supplier:" that each person fills out each time on the userform (there are no dropdowns yet).

What I am wanting to do is for every person who saves (I have coded the save button) with the "Supplier:" combobox filled out to save what they entered and input that into the combobox dropdown so when the next person uses the userform the entry the previous person entered would be in the combobox as an option to select.

Essentially, a combobox populates itself based on what previous users have entered into it.
