I have a workbook (attached) which has a button that would enable a user login using a username and a password. The usernames and passwords are configured on an hidden sheet (config) in Columns A to D. In column D, access level is selected to be either "FULL" or "LIMITED" which gives access to an extra button which enables user to be able to create new users, change passwords and all.
The issue I have is, the user I have configured to have FULL access does not have it as the button which gives access to this functionality does not come up.
I have a userform (Login), which allows you to login by entering your username, password and by selecting your role.
When you enter the username, password and role and click on submit, it shows another userform (Activities).
Now what I want is, when i enter username, password and select the role as team manager and click on submit, it should show the userform - "Manager_Login". For all other roles, it should show the userform - "Activities".
The usernames, passwords and roles are on the sheet - "User Access".

I have code, attached to the cmdSubmit1 button on my UserForm. The purpose is to allow access to a veryhidden Worksheet "ADMIN".
The code 'works' if I enter in both the correct UserName and Password (ie: the code completes & Admin sheet opens up).
The code 'works' if I enter in the correct UserName and the wrong password (ie: code completes it's run, my msg pops up to say there is wrong input, unloads the form & sheet ADMIN stays veryhidden).
However, if I enter the wrong username (with either right or wrong password) the code breaks and I get a debug error. I know my code is obviously wrong/missing something etc - but I can't work it out! The line of code highlighted on the break, is between the *** below

Excel 2010, Windows 7: Is it possible to password protect an Excel document at an "Administrator" or a executive level. I want to grant access to the document, and the ability to manipulate it as they choose, to everyone with the password but prohibit them from changing the password once they are in.
I've been developing a form in excel (not userforms, just the usual conditional formatting, validation and macros to show/hide rows etc). It all works fine now except one thing was noticed when a colleague was testing it. If she opens the form from the email, and she already has excel open, then the form will not work when she makes a selection from the dropdown list, which unhides the rest of the form. If she closes down all of excel and opens the form from fresh, it works fine.
I have a useform that loads up with two buttons and I waat to force the user to chose one of the buttons. However, I have noticed that the user can just press the cross in the top right corner of the form to close the window and therefore not press either button.
Is there anyway I can stop the close form button working?
I want it so that when the workbook opens it prompts for a username and password. You can also have a button for "register" etc. Which will send you to a website.

So whenever i open my excel sheet, the first thing should happen is that there should be a login screen and ot should ask for password and id. Once you provide the login id and password, you would proceed to the next screen.
I have an excel file where different people have to make their comments. So far I have sent out the files on email and they sent it back and then copied their comments to the original file, but from now on I would like to share the file and let them to write in their comments.
In order to make it professional I would like the file to work as following (lets suppose that I am Mr.X and I have to write my comments in row 2,6 and 9):
1. When I (Mr.X) open the excel file, there is a pop up message box with a drop down list saying: "Please select your name:"
2. In the drop down list I select my name (Mr.X) and I press OK.
3. Then I get logged in the file and I will see rows 2,6 and 9 only.
4. After making my comments I save the file and log out.
As for the example lets assume that there are 3 people who are making the comments. Mr.X /rows 2,6 and 9/, Mr.Y /rows 1,3 and 8/ and Mr.Z /rows 4,5 and 7/

I've been looking around for a way for Track Changes to reference the loggedin username of the workstation rather than the name in Excel registration.

So I have some data that I'd like to extract from some financial sites that I'm a member of (one in particular is investors.com). I have a worksheet that is going to be used my approx. 10 people at my company. I want to give access to certain menus to a few people and other menus to others. I have 2 custom menus. One is for each group, but I don't want to allow access to the other groups menu. Is there a way to create a way of logging in via username and password so that excel can display only the correct set of menus depending on who is using the sheet at the time? I think there is a way that excel can recognize the windows login and password for each person and maybe I can use that? If so, how do I then set it up to display only the correct menus to certain users?

I have a workbook which, on opening, shows a logon form and depending on the username and password entered only certain sheets open - there are about 10 usernames and passwords - i have only included 2 to keep the code a bit shorter.
