I have a list of what we call "model codes" which are is a similar format to "DFS41FC57DD728NCWRY3"
The list could be 6000 rows but may contain hundreds of duplicates and may only contain 50 different model codes
I am looking for a formula that will populate a new column (B in the example below) with only the individual codes (unfortunately the xls example I created wont upload)
COLUMN A COLUMN B
DFS41FC57DD728N3SRY3 DFS41FC57DD728N3SRY3
DFS41FC57DD728N3SRY3 DFS41FC57DD728NCWRY3
DFS41FC57DD728N3SRY3
DFS41FC57DD728N3SRY3
DFS41FC57DD728NCWRY3
I have the following formula
=IFERROR(INDEX('Data - CURRENT'!$B$2:$B$2500,MATCH(LARGE('Data - CURRENT'!$BA$2:$BA$2500,ROW(A1)),
'Data - CURRENT'!$BA$2:$BA$2500,0)),"")
This worked wonderfully until a duplicate crept in to Column B. Now there is the potential for many more duplicates. Column B holds an 8 digit numerical number. I am just struggling to add in a parameter that ignores any duplicates that have been added
I have a set of text in rows which includes duplicates like this:
Column A
Text 1
Text2
Text1
Text500
Text500
I then need to remove the duplicates and put them in column B. I normally use the remove duplicates button in Excel to do this but seeing as I have to do this task every day, I was hoping there would be either a formula or VBA solution which automatically does this?
How would I remove duplicates using this formula in excel 2007 ?
=CONCATENATE(Q70,",",R70,",",S70,",",T70,",",U70,",",V70,",")

I am using Excel 2013 on Windows 7. In the above example columns A & B is the given list to process, and Columns C & D contain the result I am trying to achieve. The major part of this that I am having trouble on combining, separating them with commas in another cell, and ignoring a duplicate value. You can see bill has two red values, but I only need it displayed once in column D.
I have a string of letters in cell column L20 through L3019.
The letters are A, B, C, and R . No other letters.
I wanted to find out if it is possible to remove any duplicates when starting in cell L20 going downward.
For example:
L20 = B
L21 = A
L22 = A
L23 = B
L24 = C
L25 = C
L26 = C
L27 = C
L28 = B
L29 = R
L30 = A
L31 = C
L32 = C
L33 = C
L34 = R
L35 = R
L36 = B
L37 = B
In the range L20 through L37 all the letters have appeared so my goal is to create a formula where the outcome is BACR. Starting with the first letter B in cell L20
Cell range L20 through L37. Looking for the next letter which would be either A,C, or R. Since we already used the letter B. In this case it's the letter A
ABCR
Cell range L20 through L37. Looking for the next letter which is the C or R. In this case it's the letter C
CBRA
Finally range L20 through L37. Looking for the letter R which is in cell L29.
RACB
I have spreadsheet that displays many blank cells. I would like all the information from this sheet (example below) displaying on another spreadsheet but without the blank cells.
On the example below I've shown how I want my sheet3 to look. (Cells B19:I22)
The sheet where I want to remove the blanks is Sheet2 B2:AE367
Is this possible using array formulas or macro?

I have created an analysis worksheet but need to a formula that looks up against a list, hence why I think (and hope) that this might just need an array formula.
So the worksheet has a few thousand rows of data (one for each order) that is put against an email address. I need the formula to sum the revenue generated by 'club members' who placed on a specific date whos email appears in a list on a seperate tab. If it wasnt for the email list I would use a simple sumifs formula but I am stumped by the need to look up against a list of emails.
As close as I've got is the following;
=sumifs(data!AC:AC,data!Z:Z,"Club",data!L:L,B11,data!S:S,'Discount'!B:B)
the data tab is the one with all the data and the discount tab contains the list of email addresses to look against (B:B). AC is the revenue data, Z is whether they are club members, L is the data (B11 is the date to look up against).
I have a sheet of data that I can filter (e.g. only show male pupils).
On the next sheet I want to display the list of filtered results with no gaps.
As the user will be able to select which column of data to show from the first sheet I am referencing it as follows:
INDIRECT("'Progress Matrix'!"&ADDRESS(MATCH($B$6, 'Progress Matrix'!$A:$A, 0)+1,
MATCH(C$6, 'Progress Matrix'!$1:$1, 0))&":"&ADDRESS(300, MATCH(C$6, 'Progress Matrix'!$1:$1, 0))))
(However this formula no longer seems to work as I think I changed something).
I've tried to incorporate
SUBTOTAL(3,OFFSET(A2,ROW(A2:A100)-ROW(A2),0))
to only show filtered results but with no success.

I'm having difficulty creating an array formula. In a multi-column sheet, I am looking at a column with classes and a column with a date (in the format 7-Oct-09). I need to list the number of a specific class for a particular month (any day). I have tried the following which gives only the number of classes:
=COUNTIF(A4:A2500,"AA")+COUNTIF(H4:H2500,"10/??/09") and
=SUM((A4:A2500="AA")*(H4:H2500="??-Oct-??")) which gives me 0. Maybe an array formula is not the way to do this.
I have an excel document that looks like this: Capture.JPG
I need it to look like this: Capture2.JPG
As you can see, the batch #, document #, amount, debit and credit all duplicate based on the number of debits that appear for each document #.
Is it possible to scan through column A for duplicates if found delete the row that has not got any data in either column D E or F? If Duplicates are found and neither have any data in D E or F Delete all but one of the duplicates.

The name is in Column F the employee Number is the 020820 and we want to only have the latest date in the last column.
So out of this data above. The bottom one with the 2/11/2008 is the one we want to keep.
And delete those other 2.
The next group has duplicate names 10 of them. But only want to keep the most recent.
I have two lists in different columns, which are defined ranges. I want to extract them to a unique list with an array formula and at the same time sort albafetically, without duplicates, like this:
List1
List2
Final List
Audi

[Code] ....
So far, I have this formula which is working in what concerns removing duplicates and exctract a unique list. But it is not ordering alfabeticaly.
{=IFERROR(IFERROR(INDEX(List1, MATCH(0, COUNTIF($D$1:D1, List1), 0)), INDEX(List2, MATCH(0, COUNTIF($D$1:D1, List2), 0))), "")}
I have a spresdsheet with a few tousand rows that is updated daily. My objective is to remove duplicates from colum C keeping always the most recent (date on colum B). Sometimes collum C will have blank cells and the rows of said blank cells can't be deleted.

I have a list of that has similar but not exact duplicated entries, such as:

What kind of formula could I use to detect and remove all entries that are partially duplicate like this?
Below is a typical example of the contents of one of my cells (of which I have around 500 cells):

We can distinguish between each entry by the comma - but how can I get Excel to look inside one specific cell at text and remove these?
I have an excel table with several columns two of which I am interested in. What I am trying to do is filter the first column with a specific criterion and then copy the visible values from the other column into a range object. After that I need to remove duplicates. The problem is I get an error. Here's the code. There are a lot of duplicates.

I receive a customer list with over 1.000 customers. Each customer have it's own customer ID and some customers have more then one dept / case.
I now wonder how I can find duplicates if the customer ID is the same in the customer ID field and remove any duplicates?
how can i remove duplictes from a colum. For example:
Column C:
A;B;C;A;D;E;A;G;B *(A is three times here and B two times!)
F;G;H;I;F*(F is here two times)
I would like to have the duplicates removed from each cell in column C so that each member is unique in the cell. The example would then look like:
Column C: (after removing the dupplicates A and B in first cell and F in second cell)
A;B;C;D;E;G
F;G;H;I
i have a wordlist containing about 0.5 Million words in col.A and Millions of meanings in Col.B. Now in Col. A there are many duplicates. I would like to make one cell of all duplicates in col.A and put their meanings together in B with seperator ";". Its very important that there are no duplicates in Col. B.
For example:
Col. A Col.B
w1 m1;m2;m3
w1 m1;m2;m5
w2 m23;m24
w2 m50
Now after running the macro the list should look like:
Col.A Col.B
w1 m1;m2;m3;m5
w2 m23;m24;m50
The words in col. A are alphabetically ordered and all the duplicates are followed by each other.
.
I have been trying for a day now to figure out how to remove the unique cells and keep the duplicates only. I have tried a macro but it does not seem to work. Has any one run into this before. I have attached a sample what I would like to do is remove all non-duplicates from column A. The only macro I could find was this:
