BeforeClose And Deactivate Events Not Running?

I have some code in the BeforeClose event of the workbook - it worked the first time I tried to shut down the wb, but never since. I opened a new wb and copied in the code and again, it worked first time, but not since. The code is just calling a function, nothing heavy. I've tried the Deactivate event as well. I'm more of an Access VBA kind of gal, so don't know if I'm missing something big here.

BeforeClose Event Not Running / Working When File Is Closed Through VBA In Another File

I have a code in file A that opens several files (B,C,D&E), copies some data from them, then closes the files. That part of the code works fine, but each of the files that are opened (B,C,D,&E) have a Workbook Open event that causes the file to save automatically every 30 seconds. (I know this is not recommended, but this is what the user wants.) The files also have a Workbook Before Close event that is supposed to stop the timer so the file will close without reopening. These each run fine on their own.But if I run code A, the workbook Before Close event in file B (C,D, & E) does not seem to run and the files reopen after 30 seconds to save. When I step through the code it works fine and goes through the Before Close event in each file and the files remain closed.

Disable Events While Running Macro

I am using the Worksheet_Change function behind a worksheet that executes some code every time a change is made on the worksheet.

ie.

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
End Sub

Is it possible to disable this function while running another macro? Therefore, when I enable Screen.Updating, the Worksheet_Change function will not be triggered.

UserForm Textboxes Triggering Events - Even After Events Have Been Disabled?

I have a UserForm with a Text Box, I populate that Text Box with a number (say 5) and then the following code runs:

I have this code in my workbook, however it's not executing when the workbook is closed

NB - It deletes all the cells, as the workbook_open event is multiple inputs via input box

Closing Workbook Runs BeforeClose VBA Twice

In the various codes I am using AutoOpen, AutoClose, Workbook_BeforeClose and Workbook_BeforeSave Subs. BeforeClose and BeforeSave are in '_ThisWorkbook'; AutoOpen and AutoClose are in a Module. I also use Workbook_Open, Workbook_Activate and Workbook_Deactivate, also in _ThisWorkbook. I put message boxes thru out code to be sure code was running right. The Workbook_BeforeClose is running twice under certain condition (when a cell in active workbook sheet is blank ("")). I do not understand why it is running twice.

For condition where there is data in cell M10, this creates a whole other issue ( multiple running of mutliple various Subs) which I believe I should deal with in different thread/question.

All of a sudden my right-click isn't enabling when I reopen Excel. I can run the macro

is it possible to deactivate an activecell?

the following code works well i have a range of cells(e1:o17) i click on one of those cells to enter a score into (a2) the next cell i click enters a score into (b2) ok so far but if i need to enter the same score consecutively as needs to be done from time to time i cant do it because the cell is still active.

Could Two Change Events (Conditions) Be Possible With Worksheet Change Events

I am aware that I can use single changing events in worksheet change events. For instance, if column 1, or A is changed, do something. This is only a single If statement, i.e. either the condition is true, or not. What I am not sure is if I can use two changing events, i.e. two conditions. For e.g. I would like if Column A value is X and Column B is "Active", action it, but only if two conditions are true.

For.e,g. The below syntax does not work. If it is only column A, it does work, but I want both A and B to be true, then copy and paste the target does not anything.

How To Deactivate Older Rows By Date

I have an excel sheet with date as the first column and all other data being numeric. I put in a code to increment by 1 everytime the user clicks on a cell, the contents within it. the code is below.

Code To Unhide All Columns Upon Deactivate Tab

I need to perform an action (unhide all columns) whenever I switch to a different worksheet.

Detail: I have a file with 2 tabs (worksheets). Tab 1 contains daily data, and when people are done with the current week they group and hide the columns for that week. This allows them to only view the new week and do an easy copy/paste into other applications. Tab 2 totals up the daily data from Tab 1 and shows monthly totals. The problem is that when they hide Tab 1 columns for past days, the formulas in Tab 2 don't "find" that hidden data. I would like to write a basic code that unhides all Tab 1 columns when I switch to Tab 2 so the formulas on Tab 2 reflect accurate totals. My thought is that it would be Worksheet code on Tab 1 using "Deactivate". I've tried to piece together different bits of code but can't get anything to work properly. I don't want them to have to run a macro or click a button, I'd like it to be automated when they switch tabs.

For some reason, even though the value fed in is 1 and it should bypass the If statement, it doesn't. However, if I assign the offset value to a variable first, the If statement works...

Two Events In A Workbook?

I am trying to write a code where user has to respond to input box option depending on yes or no selection. There are two types of responses to different questions. One needs to respond between 1 and 100 (if yes) and for some other questions needs between 1 and 4 (if yes). A "no" will enter zeo value. But it is not working. I have early made a macro that will change some of the cells before printing and then changing back again to initional state after the print out.

Using Application Events With An Add-In

I've created an addin to reformat spreadsheets that I receive in a particular format. What I would like to do is enable events so that whenever a spreadsheet is opened the reformatting procedure is run (this also validates whether the spreadsheet is of the correct format).

I have created a class module with the following code (exactly as the Excel help):

Multiple Change Events

In both instances I want to put a date stamp of the column immediately after the defined columns below.

The first issue is that when it runs the 1st change event, it only puts the date stamp in the top row of the column. The change in the "Inportedshapeall" column would almost always be brought about from range being copied from another column, however, I would still like a date stamp in every cell of the column.

The second issue comes about when I try to run the second change event. It simply seems to get stuck. I have tried Else, Else if, removing End ifs. I am not sure how best to define the events in order to ensure it loops through both.

Add The Total Time Of 643 Events?

I am trying to add the total time of 643 events. I have the start time subtracted from the end time to give me each individual events total time, at the bottom I am trying to put a total time for all events but it keeps displaying 14 hours and 13 minutes even though it should be somewhere around 500 hours.
