I am trying to take data from specific cells on PBI_DATA_SORT and paste it into a new line in PBI_DATA_SORT_TRACKING with a date and time stamp in separate cells.
I have been able to get it to copy from one to another but not with a date and time stamp.

Our small family business has a mailing campaign that we track with excel. However, we're very concerned about users opening the macro-filled master spreadsheet. Instead, we'd like a macro to do everything for them.
When a letter comes back in the mail with a bad address, the user types the Street number and street name such as "1234 Main St" into $A2 of c:dropbox eturned.xlsm, presses the macro button, and it should do the following:
Opens and Searches "Sheet1", "column S", in the file c:dropboxmaster1.xlsm, and finds the LAST instance of the address typed.Selects that entire rowCopies the entire row.Pastes the contents into the row of the active cell in the destination spreadsheet, overwriting what was there before. Such as $2:$2 if the address was typed in $A2.In the master1.xlsm spreadsheet, sets the entire copied row color to "gray".closes master1.xlsm and saves changes.
The end result is that the user now has an identical row of information in their spreadsheet, and the master spreadsheet's row is colored gray indicating it has been completed.
Other notes:I'm open to more efficient steps than this if you have them.There are approx 5,000 records to search through in master1.xlsx at any given time.
I want to be able to copy a name from one sheet (Available Players), paste it to a cell in another sheet (Round 1 through Round 20). The cell that will be copied is fixed but the place where it will be pasted will be different and may be on a different sheet.
also i would like to change the color of the copied cell to "greyed" out or cut if it can not be greyed out. I have created a button and put in a macro that i created but have been having problems with it, generic 1004 errors that i can not figure out. i am attaching the document.
Example, I have a sheet named DATA1, I want to add a new worksheet, copy a certain range from the DATA1 sheet to the new sheet and rename it the same name DATA1 and delete the old DATA1 sheet.
Also, the sheetname will be unknown, the macro must get the sheet name first.
I have 4 sheets called Data, xxx, www and yyy. The sheet names xxx, www and yyy are also words that are existing in the sheet Data in Row C. Am I able to copy paste all the lines existing in the sheet Data including i.e. xxx in Row C into the sheet xxx? This should also work for the words www and yyy.

I have the code to go through and filter the data that I want to use. Now I have anywhere from 1-50 rows of data all sequentially together that I need to either copy or move to another sheet ("Data") on the next available line.
I have this code so far:

But this only includes 1 row so I either have to loop the VBA or expand the range to include multiple rows. Both of which I don't know how to do. And that code doesn't work too well either.
I tried to make something to find a certain value (from a userform) in a range, and then copy the line partially to another sheet. Then go forth to the next found item and do the same. But... I cannot seem to make this loop.

I have attached a 97-2003 .xls file with data for multiple store locations on sheet 1, and the desired result on sheet 2. I am actually using excel 2007, but I dont think I need any special features that it provides.

How to create macros. I need to copy a certain group of cells from one sheet to another, and then do it for x number of times. I'm just using the record function and now i'm lost. Here is the code i currently have:

Also, column C is blank. i would like to get the values from another list in the same workbook, say "branch list". I would like to populate Column C with one specific branch for each "batch", if that makes any sense...
I have Worksheet 1, with columns A to E. I would like a row to be copied to Worksheet 2, as soon as cell F in Worksheet 1 is populated. Also the row to be deleted from Worksheet 1.
So, as soon as F1 in worksheet 1 is populated and enter button pressed, row A1:F1 will be copied to the next empty row in worksheet 2, while being deleted from worksheet 1. So eventually all rows in worksheet 1 will be deleted and rows in worksheet 2 will be populated.
Once a job is complete on a sales tracking sheet I created, it needs to transfer automatically once I click on a "completed" section of my work sheet.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to do a loop where you can copy say A3 worksheet 1 then add another sheet naming the work sheet "A3" then copying A3 worksheet 1 to A1 "A3". After that looping to A4 to a new work sheet naming the work sheet "A4"copying the value to A1 "A4", etc...
Is there a simply way of doing this loop? I can probably fit my other coding into the structure.
I want to pull data from another sheet, however there are multiple listings of each and I want to pull the data to another sheet for each line. I maybe easier if I try and show below:

I want to pull this data for each name in Col. A in to another sheet. I've tried "IF", "Vlookup" and a couple of others, it just seems to be hitting the first option and pulling the data but not the ones below.
So if I selected Green on the second tab it brings through the "6" and "5", but not informtion from the listing from Green below. So I wiould like to list all the Green's, and the applicable data.
I want to create a macro button that can create copy, insert, paste and rename the new sheet in next month's name, like if the active sheet's name is January, I want to copy the whole sheet of January, insert new sheet, paste the new sheet and rename the new sheet to next month like February?
Also rename the new sheet (February) cell B3 the same as new sheet's name (February)
So if month of February is near end, the macro button in February will create the same way as Jan did which means the next sheet will be named March and so on.
Request is being used as the interface tool for something I'm building. It will contain entry fields a user may enter. I need a VBA macro that will copy data from Request (cell D5,6,7,8 and so on) and paste it into SAVE DATA (C2, D2 and so on). It must also be able to clear the data from Request and allow the user to re-enter new data. When the user re-enters new data, it will copy into SAVE DATA, C2. When entered a new data in Request, it will copy into SAVE DATA D2, when entered another data in Request it will copy SAVE DATA E2 and so on with DATE on top SAVE DATA C1, D1 and so on in which is data was entered and saved.
Example:
- Data is entered into Request D5
- Command Button to run Macro
- Data in Request D5 is copied and pasted to SAVE DATA C2
- Data in Request D5 is cleared after paste
- User can re-enter new data into Request D5, data is copied again and pasted into next row in SAVE DATA D2 and so on.

I have I workbook that contains 2 sheets. The first sheet "Business Objects" is the master list. The second sheet "Gene" contains similar data but is incomplete. There is a unique identifer for both sheets and that is item ID. what I would like to do is look at the Item ID column on sheet1 compare it to SS# on sheet two and copy any rows from sheet1 to the end of the sheet in sheet 2. I have found in my searches on this forum a bit of code that identifies the ones in sheet1 that are not in Sheet2 and highlights them red(which is not neccessary for me, but I am struggling to figure out how to take that and paste it to sheet2.

Sheet B is a "printable" order form that only contains the rows from Sheet A where the Quantity on Sheet A is not blank and is >=1. This will allow me to print sheet B with no blank rows for the items I don't need.
I found the following formula which claims to be able to do what I want:

I am Manually Comparing the Data between two different sheet, If the Data is matching, or Not matching, those data i have document in other sheet, So i have lots of records available. so manually doing its very difficult, but macro can compare the data. Data 1.xls == This sheet have multiple tab with data and different order no.(Multiple Tab with thousands of records available)

Now we have to compare the modified.xls and Data1.xls... For modified.xls have ORDERNUMBER available, that Numbers match with all tabs from Data 1.xls sheet.
If ORDERNUMBERS are matching, Need to copy the entire row from modified.xls To AVAILABLE TAB from Comparedata.xls sheet

I'm trying to create a command button on my sheet that when clicked will find all rows in column u that read Engineering Evaluation and then copy certain cells from that row to another sheet. The kicker is that this button will be used over and over again as more entries are entered into the log. I only want each row counted once.
Right now I get a run time error for the "For Each Cell In Application.Intersect(Range("u:u"), target)" line.
i have a workbook that has a lot of sheets but i need to pull information from the one sheet "Veneer Log" i Need it to make new sheets with the same heading as on the "Veneer Log" (Rows 1 & 2) Sheet but it needs to be filtered by the "Product" Column (H) with a new sheet made for all the diffrent products i.e. Dimensional, Drywall, Corners - Thin V., Accents,..... so each product will have a new sheet with i am hoping someone can help me with this. This log changes Daily and it would be nice to have a sheet with only the same product on it to compare new orders so we can batch run. i hope i have given you enough information so someone can help me with this. i have attached a sample log the real log has about 10 worksheet for diffrent departments but i only need info from the Veneer Log Sheet.

Everything seemed to be working until i tried to copy and paste something on my spreadsheet (sheet titled Input Sheet). When I paste anything onto this sheet I see the Paste happen and then Excel just hangs (no errors?). I just left it for over 5 minutes and nothing happened (still hanging). I had to close it down using X
