I want to do a loop where you can copy say A3 worksheet 1 then add another sheet naming the work sheet "A3" then copying A3 worksheet 1 to A1 "A3". After that looping to A4 to a new work sheet naming the work sheet "A4"copying the value to A1 "A4", etc...
Is there a simply way of doing this loop? I can probably fit my other coding into the structure.
I have attached a 97-2003 .xls file with data for multiple store locations on sheet 1, and the desired result on sheet 2. I am actually using excel 2007, but I dont think I need any special features that it provides.

I want to be able to copy a name from one sheet (Available Players), paste it to a cell in another sheet (Round 1 through Round 20). The cell that will be copied is fixed but the place where it will be pasted will be different and may be on a different sheet.
also i would like to change the color of the copied cell to "greyed" out or cut if it can not be greyed out. I have created a button and put in a macro that i created but have been having problems with it, generic 1004 errors that i can not figure out. i am attaching the document.
I have a workbook that tracks pollutant emissions. The workbook could end up having up to 180 worksheets, one for each pollutant and the emission total. I have VBA to create a new sheet for each pollutant (attached) using a hidden template sheet.
The summary sheet in position 1 needs to list each pollutant worksheet on a new row, and the same 4 cells from each worksheet (id, name, value, value). I have been typing out the cell references in the summary sheet, and it gets boring [=Sheet!Cell id], [=Sheet!Cell name], etc.
Is there a way for me to copy those cells to the summary sheet when the new sheet is created?
I have a list of about 600 addresses that need to be reformatted with a space following X character and need to be in all caps. This would be the more tedious way because I would still need to search the other file to make sure the text itself is correct. I saw on a different forum that this line would work in adding a space
(=REPLACE(A1,5,1,MID(A1,5,1)&" ")) but I need to add two spaces and adjust the location of the space so that it is following the first string of text.
The other approach could be to set up a formula or macro that searches the other file with a section of the original text and replaces that string.
The last few days I have been trying to figure this out with no luck whatsoever. I am using Excel 2010 32-bit with power query on a Windows 7 64-bit computer. I was going the use the html creator, but the dl link was down and I had to use screenshots.
I have a sheet titled "LeadSheet" that contains multiple data blocks of information (around 20). I have attached 2 examples of these data blocks and 2 examples of results needed below. I tried to create them so they would fill in the gaps of my explanation.
All of these data blocks are 7 columns wide and vary in row size from 10-250. The blocks of data all have titles on the 5th row, but are not headers, and then data beginning directly underneath. I hesitate calling them ranges because I only selected one data block as a range and named it "lead1" and then stopped not knowing if I was headed the right direction.
I first tried to create a table out of the range, but was unable to do so because the "Name" column is an array. The phone and address columns are populated by VLOOKUP. And although the images show the column names as the same for name, phone and address theyare actually different, like name-firm1, name-firm17,address-firmxyz, etc, etc. I not putting that in the images. The "Option 1", "Option 2", "Option 3" and "Option 4" columns are generated using a =IF formula.
I have another sheet titled "ResultsSheet".I'm needing a way or code to copy entire rows from the multiple data blocks/ranges in the "LeadSheet", and paste it in the"ResultsSheet", based on any value occurring in any of the"Option" columns within the individual data blocks/ranges along with appending the "Option #" title to either end of the copied row.
The "LeadSheet" is constantly being updated so information is being added and taken off all the time. That being said, is there anyway to make it update as soon as the "LeadSheet" does or on a timed interval so that the"ResultsSheet" is always up to date. And also prevent it from continuing to re-copy over duplicates of information that has not changed?
Ifthe "Option #" result is the exact same percentage then the order does not matter between them.
Ifwithin the same data block/range both "Option" columns have data it is usually because of some error and is most likely bad datathat does not need to be copied. i.e. "Steven Seagal". If that makes this task much more difficult I can live with it.
If within two or more different data blocks/ranges the same name and info appears that if fine because the "Option #" will always be different. i.e. "Chuck Norris".
I am also trying to make the "ResultSheet" ordered from largest percentage to lowest, but I assume that should be done once the data is on the "ResultsSheet". No headers or titles are necessary on the "ResultsSheet"

I'm trying to create a command button on my sheet that when clicked will find all rows in column u that read Engineering Evaluation and then copy certain cells from that row to another sheet. The kicker is that this button will be used over and over again as more entries are entered into the log. I only want each row counted once.
Right now I get a run time error for the "For Each Cell In Application.Intersect(Range("u:u"), target)" line.
I'm trying to copy the cells from a sheet and transfer only the values to other sheet.
I did it via code and it worked fine, except for the dates. In the new sheet the months and days are swapped.
The original date is composed via the concatenate function, since it gets inputs (day, month and year) from the user in different cells. It's in the format D/M/YYYY (examples: 4/2/2014, 10/12/2013). I believe the excel interprets it as Text, even if I formated the cells to Date.
I think it may have something to do with the default format in different countries. Here in Brazil we use DD/MM/YYYY, but my Excel is in english and in US the format is MM/DD/YYYY, am I right?
The senior members have made it less intimidating to start writing code. Infact I picked up a DUMMIES book and a Macro book and it's been a lot of fun. Anyway here is my code that I have created thus far.

Essentially what I am trying to do is copy these cells from sheet 1 to sheet 2 and then save it as another file using the name of C6&"Text String *Report" This would essentially take the first record A2 - CL2 and then delete that record and move onto the next row 3 and loop through and create another file with the same name C6(Sheet2)&"Report Name" Sheet 2 is the template where the data from the rows will drop into. I have those called out above in the code. It works just fine. I'm stuck though with how to copy the file and move threw all the records and saving them as separate files. Just to make sure I am clear it's 1. Copy data from sheet1 to sheet2 (Template). 2. Then save that file with the file name as cell C6&"some text" concatenated. Loop through sheet1 grab the next record and rinse lather repeat. Just a few weeks ago I was struggled to create macros and now I can copy. Pretty weak I know but I really enjoy this, in fact I sold all my books and just have VBA material so I stay focused.
I want to have certain sheets in my workbook named from the result of a formula on that sheet in A1. There will never be an instance where two sheets would be the same name. I have ZERO experience in VBA. I tried the code below in each of the worksheets modules where I wanted the sheet name to change but it doesn't work.

I am looking to copy the columns containing firstly H and then A from this sheet (sheet 1) to sheet 2. At the moment the H and A run in sequence, sometimes 2 or 3 times in a row but I want them to appear seperatly in sheet 2 so that I have all of the H's together in a sequence and all of the A's together in a sequence further down the sheet. I haven't used macros since school and don't have the first idea where to start. Do I need macros or is there a simple formula I can input? I want to create a macro button that can create copy, insert, paste and rename the new sheet in next month's name, like if the active sheet's name is January, I want to copy the whole sheet of January, insert new sheet, paste the new sheet and rename the new sheet to next month like February?
Also rename the new sheet (February) cell B3 the same as new sheet's name (February)
So if month of February is near end, the macro button in February will create the same way as Jan did which means the next sheet will be named March and so on.
i'm trying to do (for the past couple of days manually) is copy the names from the 2nd sheet to the 1st sheet but need to make sure that the proper location ID match that of the 1st sheet. If two names is assigned to the same location, a new line will be added to the 1st sheet but never allow if the location ID do not exist.

As of right now I have been adding a sheet to the workbook that is an overview for what is in each sheet (the individual companies). Currently I am doing the formatting of the heading and column names manually and I pull the data from each sheet with a VLookup. I have been trying to enhance my VBA skills with coding something that will fill in the appropriate cells from worksheet to worksheet.
What I am trying to do is to populate an overview sheet with cells C24, C25, and B36 being static on each row per sheet. I am copying a large sheet into a spread sheet. The problem is one of the columns contain numbers with some cells having an asterisk at the end of the number. This causes problems with the formulas on other sheets that use this data. Can I use a formula or what is the best way to eliminate the "*".

Now after that process is finished I need it to update the date in cell "A1" of the newly created sheet with the next day's date.

I have a userform which clones the latest sheet and produces copy of it on the next sheet. The first sheet they will be cloning is the sheet called 'template', I however want this to be hidden since I do not want anybody to modify a sheet which basically serves purpose of a template. And once cloned, it is no longer needed.
On the click of the command button, the macro will create sheet1 taking the info from sheet named 'Template' in the same workbook . And now on the next click of the command button, Sheet 2 is created taking the info from sheet1 and Sheet 3 is created taking the info from Sheet 2 and so on. I have a couple of spreadsheets that requires me to copy data from Sheet 1 that matches certain criteria to Sheet 2.
I have tried using posted VB codes that have been written for other people but they dont seem to work (this is probably to do with me not actually knowing what I am doing, as I am not sure what I should be replacing and what I need to be deleting etc out of the pre-written code )
I need to be able to search on column e in Sheet 1 for anything that has just h written in the cell and then copy all the rows that match into Sheet 2. I also would like to ensure that when it is copied it doesnt go in row 2 but maybe 4 or 5 as I have quite allot of headings.

I want to copy two coloumns "C" (range 6-252) and "N" (range 6-252) from the worksheet, "Original" into a new worksheet titled "Send" in columns A & B. I only want to copy the two columns "C" and "N" for each row, if column Q does not contain "beach town" or "freeway."
For example, row 6 contains beach town, so I wouldn't copy C6 and N6 onto "Send," but row 100 doesn't contain beach town or freeway, so I would copy C100 and N100 into "Send."
This is a workbook that would be updated annually.

I have a separate sheet that I will drop a csv file into. On another sheet, I would like to copy that data. I know how to copy a cell and drag it to collect all the cells for the first go around, and this would work great if only my csv file had the same amount of rows each time, which it doesn't.

what I need, but can't seem to string anything together for the final product. What I want to do is search one sheet, in column BQ, for the word Complete. The "C" column is populated with certain cells that say "Not Acceptable". This varies from sheet to sheet, but all in the C column. I have I workbook that contains 2 sheets. The first sheet "Business Objects" is the master list. The second sheet "Gene" contains similar data but is incomplete. There is a unique identifer for both sheets and that is item ID. what I would like to do is look at the Item ID column on sheet1 compare it to SS# on sheet two and copy any rows from sheet1 to the end of the sheet in sheet 2. I have found in my searches on this forum a bit of code that identifies the ones in sheet1 that are not in Sheet2 and highlights them red(which is not neccessary for me, but I am struggling to figure out how to take that and paste it to sheet2.

I have a workbook with multiple sheets named by month and year that I use to keep track of loans I work with at a bank. In these sheets I have info such as:
Column B = due date
Column D = loan# A
Column E = loan# B
Column F = status
Column H = followup needed
(Columns A,C, and G aren't important for the current need)
What I am trying to do is create a main sheet (TRACKER) that all I will have to do is press a macro button and it will pull info for each loan that is in a pending status.
I need a macro that will search column F (Status) on all sheets and find each instance of "Pending" and once that is done, copy rows B,D,E, and H in each "Pending" instance and copy them to their designated area on my TRACKER sheet. After that is done I need it to continue to the next "pending" instance and do the same on the next available line on my TRACKER sheet.
The overall goal would be that everyday I can press the macro and it will repopulate the sheet with the current pending items (as each day I will change pending status' to complete and no longer need to track it the next day).
I already have the tracker sheet set up and ready to go with the spaces as follows:
Column G&H = Merged cells where due date will need to go
Column I&J = Merged cells where loan# A will need to go
Column K&L = Merged cells where loan# B will need to go
Column M thru S = Merged cells where followup needed will need to go
