View 2 RepliesI have a column of cells with formulas that either return "" or some number. I want to create a named range that includes all values that have some number and not "". The problem is that the formulas in the cells are being included in my named range.
Dynamic Named Range: =OFFSET('!'!$B$7,0,0,COUNTA('!'!$B$7:$B$100000),1)
Problem: includes the cells that have been set as ""
I tried COUNTIF in the OFFSET where ">0" but it would get messed up when my first cells were set to "".
Is it posible and how to create a list of barcodes from a list of numbers on the worksheet?
Strokescribe seems to have some ind of solution but the data can't come from the worksheet.
I thought I solved it, but it was on a different workbook. I am not in pagebreak preview and it's not password protected. Why can't I insert an object to create to assign my macro?

I'm racking my brains as to how I can structure a formula to conditionally rank a value in an array against only those values in the array whose corresponding criteria cell includes a specific letter.
So for example I have a list of 12 values, say 126; 239; 0; 171; 162; 157; 130; 199; 122; 153; 0; 15.
Each of those values corresponds to a heading, say: CDE; DFE; FGE; DFE; ERD; DEA; BDF; DFB; CDE; CEF; CAB; FAB. As you will note some of the headings may or may not be the same and may or may not include the same letters in different orders.
How can I write a formula that ranks in ascending order a given value drawn from the above list (which will be in another cell but which in this case is, let's say, the first value: 126) only against those values whose heading includes a specific character, for example the character C (the character in question will vary and be defined in a specific cell).
As an added complication I need the ranking calculation to exclude any zero values. So in the above example what the formula needs to do is rank the value 126 against a sub-set of the whole array comprising only the values 126; 122; 153; 0.
The answer I need is 2 because, discounting the zero value, 126 is the second highest value.
I have a USB scanner connected to a PC. Data is entered into Excel when the part number barcode on a box is scanned. I have two worksheets that I will be scanning part numbers into, one is Group A and the other is Group B. On Group A's sheet there is a list of Group B part numbers that will be used for the lookup procedure when the barcode is scanned. The same is true for Group B's sheet. The groups should never be mixed, so if part number "B005" is scanned into Group A's sheet it should cause an error message to pop up. I've attached a workbook as an example. Is it possible to do this with VBA?

I'm looking for a function similar to =WORKDAY but with a slight variation.
I want the formula to return the date that is the closest non-weekend, non-holiday day that is a specific number of CALENDAR days from the start date. So the formula does not return weekend or holiday days, but does include them when counting the days away from the start date.
For example if the start date was Dec 1st, and I specified 14 days after this date, I would want Dec 15th returned (as the 14th is a weekend).
I have created a individual tracker spread sheet in each user system and on the spread sheet I have inserted 2 buttons in 1st sheet. when employee wants to take a break he has to click on the log out button and when he came back he needs to click on login button. I'm trying to create a formula that takes from "Manual" Sheet the number from colume G2 and multiply it by the percentage in sheet "AllocationRule".
My formula currently is =Manual!$G$2*AllocationRule!$B5.
What needs to happen is that the total number in "Manual" needs to be distributed evenly in 4 rows by the percentages allocated in "AllocationRule".
Right now I can't copy my formula over to the sheet because the "AllocationRule" should stop at B5 and not go further and the G2 from "Manual" should not change for the percentage allocation but should change to the next row for the next month.
And then after I've done the calculation I want the LOB in "AllocationRule" to be displayed in the LOB in "H1913_H1914" but I'm not sure what formula to use.
I have the following formula copied down from A3 to A200 in a spreadsheet, which creates a unique standardized customer number for the each names listed in B3 to B200:

I am having trouble disabling the "Preview" button when calling Application.Dialogs(xldialogprint) in XL2003. I have an xlSheetVeryHidden worksheet containing a form which is made visible programatically when the user wishes to print a copy (code below). I want the user to be able to have access to the functionality of the xlDialogPrint dialog (i.e. select desired print destination, number of copies, pages per sheet etc.) but I also want to prevent them modifying the page setup of the protected worksheet by initiating a preview from the print dialog.
