Display A Web Image Using VBA
I am using a macro to display an above 255 character image:
Dim URL As String
URL = Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("B4").Value
Is there any way of opening this in a specific part of the spreadsheet (say aligning with C5) rather than a separate web browser?

Display Image Based On Image Name In Cell
Is there a way to have image box display an image with a name matching data from a cell? example: if I type "hello" in cell a1, Image box will load image named "hello". And display new images by changing the name in cell a1. Note: the images will be located in a permanent folder.
Display Image As Thumbnail
Is there a way to insert a reference image thumbnail into my worksheet? I've tried inserting images/pictures directly, however these are duplicate copies of the originals from my system folder. C:/my documents/my pictures. I have about a hundred small images in this folder which are continually updated. (ie: the image changes) I would need this update to be reflected in excel as well.
Display Image In Cell
I am trying to add a feature to an excel spreadsheet that will display image files (map files, .emf if possible), whenever its respective cell is clicked. I have a reasonable amount of experience with macros, although it was purely in excel which completely limits my vba skills. I could probably figure something out if I spent a few weeks on it and then it would probably be like 90 mb and slow.
Display Image Based On Cell Content
I'm trying to display a different image based on the contents of a cell. For example if cell A1 = "Gerrard" I would then like to display a picture of Steven Gerarrd. Is this possible? If so can anyone give me a steer in how I might acheive this.
How To Display A Gif File In A Dialog Box Using An Image Control
my code brings up an empty dialog box.
The file I am trying to view is saved as follows: C: Test.gif
What I have done.Added a image control to a dialog box, called image1
Added the following event handler to image1:
x = c: test.gif
Image1.picture = loadpicture (X)Pressed F5 to test the code and brings up a dialog box with a blank image box.
Not called the userform in the main module (didn't seem much point considering the test failed)
where I am going wrong with this, the correct code?
Also in inputting the address of the file I could not use the C: format as this brought up an error. What is the correct format?
Editing Button Image With VBA
I'm designing a custom toolbar in VBA and have managed to create a toolbar with buttons.
However, I've been battling away trying to edit the buttons images so that I can design the button image to match the nature of macro assigned to it. The problem is that if you record yourself doing it, the macro written in VBA doesn't seem to recognise the editing button actions.
Does anyone out there know of a way to custom edit a button image in VBA?
Vba Code To Export Image File
I would like vba code that will export a given group of cells, or a defined print page area to a jpg file (preferable, but other image format would work). I'm planning to create a program that will change some cell data and create a jpg file for various sets of data.
I suppose if that's not possible that another alternative would be ok, so i'm open to suggestions, but the export to jpg format would be great. I found a little program that will do it, but i wanted to include the code in my program to make it all automated.
Include Image In VBA Message Box (MsgBox)
Is it possible to concatenate an icon as part of a MsgBox's prompt string? An example of an icon might be from the imageMso library, imageMso="PropertyInsert". I want to include an icon in code like this:

"or press Close Print Preview " & <icon> _

Add Image To Worksheet Image Control
I am trying to display an image ("image") on an image control ("Image1") placed in a worksheet ("Sheet1"). The problem is that I want this action to take place when I press a button in a user form. I am trying to use the following code, but it seems that VBA does not recognize the image control ("Image1") in the worksheet.
Private Sub cmdDisplayImage_Click()
Dim image As Variant
image = ThisWorkbook.Path & "sun.jpg"
Image1.Picture = LoadPicture(image)
VBA Import From Web
Is there any way to change parts of a URL within a macro using the import from web function?
The import from web function as a macro is the following:
With ActiveSheet.QueryTables.Add(Connection:= _
I would like say the "4457" part to be dynamic. It can either change by user input, from another function..etc doesn't really matter. The problem is can this change? by string concatenation perhaps? or something else?

I need to get VBA code to import a web page one at a time based on a condition. When one of the urls below has "1 mins to post", I want that page imported into a worksheet.
The pages require a login and here is the source code for login - "acctnum" and password - "zipcode". The name for "1 mins to post" is name ="MTP".
I would want to keep the page loaded until "MTP" = OFF. Then whenever the next URL goes to "1 mins to Post", load that web page and keep it loaded until "OFF" and so on.
This would need to continually scan through all of the following urls:

Connecting Between VBA Excel And Web Site
I have a some problem with connecting between VBA Excel and web site.
I wrote a macro to insert the data from excel but there is one problem with displaying the correct view.
I use this site to get the price of the bonds:
it is the site of russian exchange
First of all I write the ISIN code, for example RU000A0E6X12, in the "Quote Search" field and then press Enter for getting the data. After it I can choose the History information or Online from the last field in the left margin. I want to chose "History" and after it the dates from and till are appearing automatically. The automatization of it is my task. And I have only one problem in the end.
Getting Web Page Source (HTML Or XML) In VBA
I would like to retrieve contents of a web page, be it HTML or XML, into VBA variable!
Later, I would chop, cut, parse or extract the data I need.
Both importing as XML or WebQueries is unsatisfactory for a certain number of pages I need. XML has bad schema, WebQuery tells me it can't find any data.
I tried with WinHTTPRequest, but Excel gives me back error "undefined user type" in other words it doesn't recognize that object.
Basically I want the source of web page to become a string in my VBA code. In other words that would be replication of funcionallity of
Abnormal Decimal Conversion: Auto-import Statistics From The Web Via Web Query
I am auto-importing statistics from the web via web query. This information imported has a number in the form of a decimal stated as either x.1, or x.2. x.1 represents x-1/3 (one-third) and x.2 represents x-2/3 (two-thirds). I need to use these numbers in a calculation after importing them, but using x.1 or x.2 obviously does not give me accurate results as the numbers should actually be x.3333333 and x.6666666 respectively. What is the easiest way to convert the imported numbers to their actual decimals?...
Web Query For Password Protected Web-sites
I am trying to import data into Excel from a webpage using the web query function; however, the webpage requires a login and password. I have the required login and password, but I cannot figure out how to make excel automatically input these into the correct fields and login in order to import the data.
Since I am trying to make all of our databases update automatically, I don't want to enter this info everyday when the macro runs.
Web Query Read The Web Address From A Cell
I have the following task

Pulling Data From Web Without Web Query
information from a website that does not allow web queries (or at least from Excel 2003).
I have to pull the latest data every Wednesday from this webpage: [url]
To make things even more complicated the name of the page changes every week as well (corresponding to the date).
Extracting Web Data From A Sub Web Page
I am using the "CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application")" method to extract data from a webpage. This webpage is a sub page that I cannot find the data for, even after filtering through all the ".document.all(x)" items? Any ideas on how to obtain this "sub page" data, since there is other data that I need which is on the "main" page? I don't want to have to call up this sub page separately since I'm already seeing it (physically able to view it on the main page but not able to extract it) from the main page?
Web Style 'Back' Button VBA Code
I have been trying to get a back button to work on an 2003 excel document that works like a website.
In the web toolbar there is a facility to go back and forward (very much like using internet explorer). I want a button on the actual sheet that does this command. If i record a macro and click the web 'back' button it records the end result of the process, not the process itself -
eg if sheet 1 and sheet 2 link to sheet 3 and I click a hyperlink from sheet 1 to sheet 3 then create a back button on sheet 3 and record a macro by clicking on the web toolbar back button the macro records the end result - eg Application.Goto Reference:="Sheet1!R14C8". However if i then go to sheet 3 through sheet 2, the back button I created takes me to sheet 1 not back to sheet 2.
Anyone know the code I could use to make it actually go 'back' to the previous page?

Using VBA To Link Radio Buttons To Display An Observation
I work in the science field and I'm trying to record an observation with some codes within a template. I have 5 different codes (A-E) to choose from and want to display the code that the person has chosen for each of the 6 compounds they are working with.

Trying To Use VBA To Concatenate And Display Search Results On A Userform
I'm using a userform to report on set of worksheets. Two of the functions are:
- reporting on the number of contacts with a client
- displaying the details of all contacts with selected client in one textbox.
I can't work out how to concatenate the text of all the contacts relating to one client in a text box (txtContactHist) on the userform.
Using the countIf function I'm trapping zero matches.
The worksheet containing the contacts has the following data columns:
Col A - Customer ID
Col B - Detail of contact
Col C- Date of Contact
Columns B and C contain the data I want to capture
Column A (the customer ID) is the column that is searched for a match ( via the userform text box (txtLic.Value))
To work out the total number of contacts, I use this bit of ...
VBA Code To Display A Msg Box If The Returned Value Is #N/D
I have a sheet where I put a code from a product in Column B, and the name of the product will appear in Column C, with a VLOOKUP Formula. What I would like to do is, get a VBA code to display a msg box, if somebody enter a the wrong code. If that happen a #N/D will appear in Column C.
In this Sheet I already have the bellow VBA Code, to avoid repeated product codes:

If Target.Count 1 Then Exit Sub
Set Rng = Range(Range("B1"), Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp))
If Application.CountIf(Rng, Target) > 1 Then
MsgBox "O valor introduzido " & "(" & Target & ")" & " é duplicado. O Menino está a Dormir???"
Create SQL Query In VBA And Display Result As Table In Worksheet
I need the VBA script in excel that will do a SQL Query, for this case I need to select a value where there are 2-3 tags and between certain period then display the result as a table in a worksheet.
Example I have a database with 3 types of tags "Tag A", "Tag B", and "Tag C", and each tag have a value with different timestamp. the database looks like this:
No. Timestamp Tags Value
1 1-Jan-2010 Tag A 18

3 2-Jan-2010 Tag A 20
4 3-Jan-2010 Tag B 17

Display All VBA Code In Code Window (VBE)
When I started using VBA, all the code for each module was shown in the code window. This was a bit cumbersome when looking for one sub in particular. Now when I load VBA, all the Subs and Functions have their own page, and can be selected from the right hand drop down list. This is much easier for entering code, and finding subs. However, it is sometimes useful to see 'the big picture', so how do I swap between the two types of display?
I have a multi-row ,multi-column spreadsheet which lists furniture items, and with some plain Excel formulas allows me to create a proper list.
I'm using Excel as a database, in Sheet1 I have all the data, and Sheet2 is actually where I select the data and set the list of the chosen items.
Now, I have the images for all the items listed in Sheet1 in the same folder of the xlsm file, and I want to insert the proper image in a given cell in the given row.
Looking for something which may do the trick I did find this code in your site and it actually works for me!
Now, what I need is to provide the PictureFileName and TargetCell via parameters already present in the spreadsheet.
Say I want to retrieve the image shelves.jpg which is in the folder DATABASEimgs in your code mentioned above I manually set the string for PictureFileName like this
I want to set a image viewer with excel where I select any cell read that cell and show the same image in that viewer
(these all are style no )
I made a folder where I store all images with style no
it will be same no in A Column
So when I select any style no I can able to see image in image viewer is this possible?
Image In Pop-up
I have three worksheets A, B, and C. I'm using the worksheets as a pseudo-database. Worksheet A contains raw data. Worksheet B contains a look-up table. Woksheet merges the information together. Currently I do have the VBA code working to compare the value in WS A to WS B and if they match then it inserts the data into WS C. What I am wanting is a pop-up window that when the value is WS A isn't contained in WS B. This pop up window would contain both an image (to be dynamically pulled from the hard drive) and a text input field. My next step would then take the input field and inset that into WS B.
I need a macro that load from a folder a specific file text(.txt) and then load the txt content in the sheet work. But no all the content just a one part. A one column
Only the first one column of the text.
You can see an example here.....
Shortcut To Copy As Image
I'm copying a lot of tables and charts etc in Excel to paste into PowerPoint. And I'm using the mouse to go into Past > As image > Copy as image
I then get asked a question that I need to hit the enter button to answer.
I'd like to make a shortcut for this. Is this possible in VBA?
Using Excel 2007 & Vista if that matters
Batch Image Saving
Added pictures of the items to include on quotes (the pictures are in a column to the right of all the other details - (these pictures only exist in Excel)).
Our new quoting software tool needs a link to the filename - however, our pictures don't have logical filenames!
Is there a way we can do a batch save as of all these images so it ends up as 'part#'.jpg within folder X?
There are about 6,000 products and will be a bit of zombie work we don't really want to do!
Creating An Image From A Graph
I want to add a button to a worksheet to allow a graph to be exported as an image. This seems to be a fairly common request, I have read some of the posts but cant get it to work. I am using Excel 2003 as that is all we have...
So, I have a simple button on 'sheet1' containing :
Worksheets("Sheet1").ChartObjects("Chart 1").Chart.Export Filename:="h: est.jpg", FilterName:="jpg"
.. but it doesn't work. I get the error :
Run-time error '1004':
Application-defined or object-defined error
Link Image To Cell
In Excel, I have a sheet for each team that I manage. Each sheet lists the team members and displays their picture below their names. Some people are on multiple teams/sheets.
I have a master list with everybody's name and picture that I copy and paste the pictures from when putting a team together. This has become a very tedious process.
Is there a way I can type the person's name on a team sheet and have their picture automatically appear below their name? I don't know if this can be done with some kind of lookup or if it will involve VB. I tried making the picture the background of an Autoshape or comment, but I could not figure out how to dynamically change the picture based on the name in a cell.
