Find Specific Word In Different Worksheets And Merge The Whole Row In 1 Worksheet
Mar 23, 2009
In my attached file, I've atttached a sample whereby in Sheet1 to Sheet3 I have data with the same format.
I want to copy all data with TD_SUB_ACNT_CODE = ETMY0100 into Sheet4. My actual data actually have more than 10 sheets and the sheet count can be more.
I am trying to merge several imported worksheets into one worksheet so that I can build reports. In other words, sheets 1-3 are imported from other workbooks, then sheet 1, sheet 2, and sheet 3 (with the same header rows) will roll into sheet 4 with reports built from the merged worksheet. I understand how to import, but I need to merge the worksheets. Is there a macro to make this possible?
I have the attached xl. I want to make import from a specific folder other xl files and after that I want the sheet 1 to find if the values in column g and m (together in the same time) can find it in other xl files. If yes then this values in sheet 1 must turn to red. Can this done?
I am collecting data from 6 locations for the quarter and combining the information into a corp worksheet. Each quarter I need to copy information from 6 different files and paste it into the master file worksheet. The sheet I need to copy is named Substandard. The amount of information changes from each location (ie one may have 10 rows one 50 rows) so the number of the row to paste it into the master sheet changes. I would like a macro that opens the file Location1 copies the information from the substandard sheet opens the Master file pastes the information into the Substandard sheet closes the Location1 file, and repeats the process for all 6 locations. I would end up with all infomation in the Master file substandard sheet. I know how to manually record a macro to do this but the numer of the row to paste it into varies on the Master sheet depending on the amount of information from each location.
Is there a formula to find a specific word through many columns? Between A1 and L4500 i got a lot of diffrent information. I want to show if there is any cells in the row with the specific text, a formula in column M. Etc. If C100 got "topside" a notice in column M
I need a vba code that will find all the columns (j) which there cell(1,j) includes the word "Date". the word "date" will be a part of a title, for exmple: "due date", "starting date"
I am currently using this formula - =SUMPRODUCT(--(MONTH(Leads!B3:B999)=1),--(YEAR(Leads!B3:B999)=2013),--((Leads!J3:J999)="Contract"))
This gives me the count of rows that have Jan as the month, 2013 as the year and Contract word in column J. Now I want to add another column to be checked. That column has values in format - Design: X, Design: Y, Design: Z etc.
So I want to have the condition above and the cells that have the word Design.

I would like to use conditional formatting to highlight cells which have the same first 16 characters (yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm) before the "@" AND that contains the words "CHANGE WORLD". Therefore, I'm looking for a formula I could include in the conditional formatting so I can easily find the "CHANGE WORLD" that occurred at the same time (minus the seconds, they may vary slightly).
I have a large spreadsheet with about 18000 rows or data and about 60 columns. I need to a macro to find a specific word in a column like "charge" and anytime that word is found in the column to insert a blank cell in front of it.
Currently the sheet looks like this:Fee AChargeFeeChargeFee AChargeFeeChargeFee AChargeFee AChargeNeed to get it to look like this: (so I can sort and subtotal)Fee AChargeFee AChargeFee AChargeFee ACharge
I want to run macro for copying specific cell values from worksheets according to their headers in one final worksheet of the same workbook. worksheets can go upto 30-31 ws as per the dates in the month. This would really save time and energy of copy paste.
I have over 200 worksheets within 1 workbook, is there a way to search or find a specific worksheet by its name? I've tried the find option, clicked search in workbook but it only searched cells within the different worksheets of the workbook and not the title (tabs) of the worksheets.
I have an Excel spreadsheet with names and addresses which I want to mail merge into a letter on word (annual benefit statements). The names and addresses on Excel have been imported from system software and are all in capitals. Is Excel smart enough to be able to keep the first letter of text in a cell but to change the remaining letters to lower case?
Is there a way i can dictate to Word from an Excel macro that i want it to open, Start a mail merge, use a pre-made file as a template, use the excel file the macro is in as the source, get it through the whole setup of the Mail merge all the way to the print function?
I have created an Excel spreadsheet that collects info from a userform; we are using this as a issue log.
However, at the same time, upon completion of the log, the engineer then needs to fill out the essentially the same information in a Word form for sending off to the customer. I was thinking that perhaps this could be done by using a mail merge but from past experience this generally isn't very user friendly or quick.
Is it possible to automate this somehow using VBA such that when Enter is clicked on the form, not only does it fill in the next available line in the log spreadsheet but it also opens Word and populates the required fields with this same info?
I am trying to run a macro once a particular word shows up in the combo box. now in my chase i could try to use VBA code to run the macros such that once the arrow is used in the combobox to select a certain word a particular macro labled the same name as the word chosen would run.
This macro, enabled in Excel, is part of a chain of macros and will open Word, run the mail merge, save and close Excel. However, there is a macro in Word that I need to run but don't know how to activate it. Is there a code that I am missing that can be added to the end of the macro included?
VB: Sub Mailmerge() Dim wd As Object Dim wdocSource As Object [code].....
The database is full of customer bookings and the email side is for sending automated emails regarding There Gift aid donation.
Im trying to run an Automated mail merge from excel via word. Basically im opening an a spreadsheet which has the same information as the Mail merge data source, its a refresh-able Query from microsoft query . I want to be able to click a button that opens up Word and produces an email mail merge and sends it to my outbox. So the emails can be viewed before the final send. I am using Office 2013.
Once i have this stage working i want to eventually move on to having a field on the main spread sheet automatically fill in saying Sent with a Time Stamp.I want to send either email or print a letter depending on what Address/Email information they have.There may also be multiple bookings from the same Customer e.g Restaurant and house booking, which will show separately, and i want to some how have a condition that it puts all the customers Bookings onto one mail merge letter, instead of sending 3 separate letters to one customer.
This is my code so far:
VB: Sub OpenWord() 'Setting up Word Application Dim wdApp as word.application On Error Resume Next
Dim wdApp As Word.Application Dim wdDoc As Word.Document
I am trying (and failing) to set up a mail merge with a Word document. I would like for the doc to take information entered in specific columns and display it in the right field. I've set up the field and the excel doc and went through the mail merge wizard's steps for setting it up but it doesn't seem to be doing what I want.I am attaching the doc and spreadsheet below.
MichaelFields TEST.Contract Entries.xlsxFields Test.Contract to Provide Legal Services.docx
I want to set up a one step button in an Excel workbook to open up a Word Mailmerge Document that I have already set up complete with Excel data source. I have used this code so far but it's not working. What else do I have to do?
Sub OpenWordMailmergeMasterB() Set appWD = CreateObject("Word.Application") appWD.Visible = True appWD.Documents.Open Filename:="X:Detention filesMail MergeLesley's MailmergeMASTER Interim Report.doc"
'To Run the Mail Merge 'Data source is a range name in Excel workbook called "MailmergeReport":.....................
I tried writing something I thought was sensible, like "How can I merge an Excel doc into individual Word docs?" but was repeatedly warned about title accuracy. The title used is the closest I could get to what I wanted (I couldn't use the term Excel?!). I’m trying to get Excel to transfer each row of data onto a separate document (Word or Excel) and failing horribly. Imagine an Excel doc with 10 rows of data, each with 10 columns of specific info. I’m trying to get each cell on a row to present its data in a defined position on another document, which is to be saved under a unique name. i.e...................
I have a row (will always be row 3) where each cell contains a day of the week, the days repeats for a year or so, making the row almost 400 cells.
Like this, Mo - Tu - We - Th - Fr - Sa - Su - Mo - Tu - We - Th - Fr - Sa - Su - and so on...
Though, A3 doesn't have to be "Mo" because the days in this case can change (A3 can start with "Tu"), hence I think I need a macro.
So if this row contains a weekend, "Sa or "Su" I want all the cells in the column beneath that which contains a specific value to be cleared.
Example, if "Sa" or "Su" has 3 values in the columns under them, all the values that contain "X" or "Y" has to be cleared.
Like this: Rows (1,2,3...,) 1---- 2---- 3 Mo - Tu - We - Th - Fr - Sa - Su - .. and so on.. 4 A --- B --- X --- Y --- X --- B --- Y 5 A --- B --- X --- Y --- X --- X --- X 6 A --- B --- X --- Y - --X --- Y --- C
After the macro it should be:
1---- 2---- 3 Mo - Tu - We - Th - Fr - Sa - Su 4 A --- B --- X --- Y --- X --- B --- 5 A --- B --- X --- Y --- X --- --- 6 A --- B --- X --- Y - --X --- --- C
I had sent 1000 emails to the my customers by using mail merge in word document. Now I need to reply to these 1000 customer again individual one by one. The message is the same, but I need these thing to be sent in individual.
I have a spreadsheet with client names, email addresses, and appointment info. I export a .csv file from outlook. I have been doing a mail merge in word and then coping and pasting into an Outlook message and sending it out. I did some reseach and found code that I have made changes to. Of course they it doesn't work. I can't get anything to happen when I run this code.
Code: Sub Qualls_Email_Confirms()
Dim OutApp As Object Dim OutMail As Object Dim cell As Range
Application.ScreenUpdating = False Set OutApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
