I have some keys in a file that are of the form WK05, meaning that it refers to the 5th calendar week (of this year). I would like to write a function that gives me the first day of this particular week, in this case it would be 28/1/2008

Nth Day Of Week For A Month And Year
This formula will return will return the date of Nth day-of-week for a given month and year. For example, it will return 26-March-98 for the 4th Thursday of March, 1998. Days-of-week range from 1 to 7, with Sunday = 1 and Saturday = 7.

I will be inserting rows between the weeks to return appts, if I can get this part working.
I could make a new tab for each month, but I thought I would give this a try....
I'm having a data only pull week number and year. We are using Fiscal calendar starting in July. For example, A1 = Week number and A2= Year. How to set up a formula to retrieve a date for this? If A1 = 2 , A2 = 2013, the date will be 07/14/2012. I want the date pull of on Saturday every week.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a program where I can update the calibration due date of an item. I have attached a cut down version of my program showing the relevant areas. There is usually password protection on the worksheet so it can only be edited via the form (the vba coding removes the password protection before editing, then re-enables the password protection after editing). The "Update Calibration" button is usually on a "Menu" sheet.
Once the form is opened a serial number is typed in the textbox. The calendar button is then clicked, which brings up another form with the calendar on. The due date is selected on the calendar. When "OK" is clicked, the date label caption is then changed to the selected calendar date. When "Submit" is clicked, the spreadsheet will search for the Serial Number, once found, the label caption (being the date selected) will be entered into the cell to the right of the serial.
If the day selected on the calendar is greater than 12 the date is entered correctly onto the sheet. example: calendar date selected = 15/01/2010. shown on sheet as 15/01/2010. However, if the day selected on the calendar is 12 or less, the date is for some reason entered incorrectly onto the sheet. example: calendar date selected = 08/12/2010. shown on sheet as 12/08/2010???? What is going on here? how come the day and month are swapped around if the day is less than 12????

I do not know how to do userforms and so that is why I wonder if I can add this in just a spreadsheet.

I am new to VBA & not sure of the full understanding of code copied from a workbook which worked on the same principle but with Monthly (12) tabs. I thought if modified to show weeks, the macro would be able to locate the current week tab & day/date within - but upon opening, the cell stops at WK19 & column O - rather than WK43, Column N (which changes daily).

I am using a great pop up calendar without ActiveX made by a guy called Phil Johnson. When you click a specified cell the calendar appears. The only problem is that the calendar doesn't default to today's date when it opens.
I have the original file Calendar source code if anyone needs it.
I was wondering if there's a way to add a formula to calculate week over week % change automatically every week when I enter in new data. see the attached excel file for reference.
What I would like to have is the ability for the formulas in c5 and f5 to be able to auto-update to the newest week and the previous week's data instead of manually having to update it each week. So if I were to add a new row with data for week beginning 12/2, the formula in c5 and f5 would automatically update to calculate the week over week variance. I tried researching prior to asking the question on this forum, and I think it may be possible to do it using the index match function, but I'm not sure how to apply it in this case.
I have a comparison model that looks at two weeks of data. I am trying to get around the deletion and insertion of records week on week. With the code below, I can currently find and correct the deletions and insertions to the list, and then resort the list so that the comparison will work.

I have a running time sheet daily. It has 2 columns for Labor and 2 columns for travel
i.e. travel From / To 1300-1400 calculate 1 hour then travel home 1600-1700 1 hour this is calculated by the date entry 01/02/10 I have another calculation that tracks by the date i.e. 01/02/10 then Next job which all works fine.
The problem becomes how do I calculate a weekly total labor and travel by the date So added another column called weekly hour’s labor and use the Weeknum to determine which week is which day/date so the first Monday in January 2010 is week 2

Having many multiple day / date entries are the same date x 7 days Monday –Sunday
(Relies on the date entered and the weeknum) 01/03/10 each line is complete however the dates carry over as does the time
When trying to calculate each row x 3 same date time then the value will be incorrect I need to calculate
Say 9.5 hour labor from the date 01/03/10 not 28.5 hours and then calculate the total weekly hours

I need to copy the values of a range on the weekly sales worksheet to the monthly sales worksheet. The last column is the total on the weekly sales. Part of the heading of the total column is the week ending date (e.g. 10/17/2009. On the Monthly Sales I have the months in columns by week ending (e.g. 10/17/2009).
Range I4:I28 to the monthly sales worksheet by date.
I currently have a worksheet that when a user clicks on the cell, a calendar form opens. From here they can select a date, click ok, and the date gets placed in the corresponding cell they clicked on.
Now if the user needs to change that date, i want them to be able to click on the cell again, and when the calendar opens, the date in the cell would be selected on the calendar. I was able to do this in a userform, but im not sure how to edit it to work on the worksheet. I am using the below to populate the calendar.

Is it possible to format cells to convert a date format of month/day/year to = year/week #/day of week? For example, 04/05/07 (April 5, 2007) would read as 7145, (7=last digit of year/ 14 = week number / 5 = day of week....Sunday being the first day of week)

I was wondering if it is possible to have a small calendar pop up when the cell that requires a date is clicked on. The calendar would need to show the current month, and future months for the calendar year. I’ve seen this feature in OneNote 2007, and wasn’t sure if this same feature could be created for excel. I’m not sure if this can be done by a macro or not.

So If I click on an icon on a date, it will copy a certain template sheet, then link it to that date and that icon.
See an excel calendar, I have a few others to play with aw well.
But this one gets updated on the same the page and not sure how the links/icon would follow the dates. I was hoping for maybe 3-4 different icons on a date.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make it so that when a user clicks on a certain cell, a calendar pops up so they can pick a date. This seems like a pretty common thing to want; I hope Microsoft puts it into the next release.
Anyway, I've read the tutorial found at [url]which tells you how to create a userform, add the calendar control to it, etc.
I've also modified it so that the calendar comes up when the user clicks on a certain cell, and so that the form closes when they choose a date.
I had to use the selection_changed subroutine to tell if someone clicked on the cell, but there are some flaws.
First, moving over to the cell with the keyboard arrows brings up the calendar (undesired result; I only want it to come up with clicking)
Second, if the cell is already selected, clicking it doesn't bring up the calendar since the selection didn't change (also undesired; I would like the form to come up whether the cell was previously selected or not).
Is it hard too add a popup calendar too my date box. Can it go too year 2075?
When you open the calendar you could click on date too install.
I'm trying to make a calendar to log the following throughout the month:
Steps =SUM(C6:G34)
Aerobic Steps =SUM(C7:G35)
kcal =SUM(C8:G36)
Miles =SUM(C9:G37)
Caloric Intake =SUM(C10:G38)
Now the above would be entered on each corresponding day throughout the month and I would like to keep a running total at the bottom. I thought I had gotten the formula worked out, but in the slots at the bottom there is a total of 152 but there aren't any numbers entered for it to total so what I did was place a -152 after the above formula which brought it to 0 then started to enter my numbers but they were off by 30 I think it was.
