I have a coworker trying to create a dropdown list and is using wingdings for the checkmark, x, and other symbols for filling out for. Everything works great except when you click in the field the drop down box doesnt show the wingdings font but the corresponding arial font. Is there a way to change the dropdown box to wingdings because currently the dropdown box shows various 'u's with different grammatical stresses.
How do you increase the font size of a drop down list in excel apart from zooming in. I have 10 dropdwnbxs each with about 16 items.
Everything works fine but users can not see the contents of each drop down box(fonts are too small). Is there a solution to this? (or just keep zooming in/out). Example i have a drop down box in A2 with source from F2:F17.....etc
I have a drop-down list that displays at about a size 6 (or smaller) font when the worksheet is displayed at 75-100%. I can make it readable by changing the magnification of the sheet to 150-200%, but that takes the rest of the sheet out of view, interferes with functionality, and is just an all-around pain in the butt. How do I format the list to make it display at a readable size?
I have noticed that all the cell dropdown lists i have (created by using Data | Validation | Allow | List) are very difficult to read its as though the font is size 8 or 6 or even less, is there a way of displaying the dropdown contents in a larger format? i have tried changing the font size of the named range and of the cell holding the dropdown but to no avail.
I am trying to create a fairly simple spreadsheet with about 8 columns and about 400 rows. One of the columns features a drop-down list with about 8 or 9 different options. Dependant on which option is selected, i would like the entire row to change colour with that option.
For example: FAILED - whole row changes red SUCCESSFUL - row has no fill Tested - row changes to orange
In Excel 2007; I need my drop down list to then change the next cell down to a series of different values? How do i do this? i have created the drop down list, but can't link the values to the item selected in the drop down list. The JPG attached shows a basic set up of what i am trying to do: The drop down list contains various product models (yellow) Once selected this then changes the m2 value (red) which is linked to the formulas in orange; product factor is entered manually.
I inherited a spreadsheet with a combox box, drop down list for user to select a project by name. The cell right below uses a lookup function to select the code listed with that project name from a list on a separate worksheet. When I edit the codes on the list used as the source for the lookup, the new code will appear as it should.
I want to edit the drop down list that appears in the combobox. I cannot find the source for the drop down list. Any ideas where/how to look for it?
I have 13 sheets in my workbook (one for each month plus a GlobalSettings). In each month sheet I want to create a change event that prompts a UserForm when they select "Yes" from a drop-down validation list if it happens to be a month prior to the current month.
I am looking to have the Cells that I have applied a Dropdown List to update with the changes that I make to the list itself.
Example:
If I were to validate a list with a range of a1:a3 using "Bob" "Sarah" "Bill" and then apply that list to B:B and randomly select from the three names running the length of B:B, I would want that when I go back to A2 and change "Sarah" to "Linda" that every "Sarah" that I have selected using the drop down will update to say "Linda"
I hope that I am explaining myself clearly and in a simple context.
Sheet 2. A1: Drop down datavalidation list selected from A3, sheet 1.
On sheet 2, a user can select from the list. If a user changes the value in A2, sheet 1, I want the value that is associated and already selected in A1, sheet 2 to automatically update. There is a 1 to many relationship with the concat and the drop down. In that, sheet 2 can have multiple rows with the same value from sheet 1 A3. Is there a way when A3 sheet 1 changes, to search in A:A in sheet two and update the values for those records that match the original value in A3, sheet 1?
I'm trying to create a drop down list which returns values based on what has been selected in the previous drop down list in the adjacent cell, e.g. if 'Apples' is selected in the previous cell then you should only be able to select from 'Gala, Granny Smith', or if 'Oranges' is selected you should only be able to select 'Seville, Blood Orange'. Is there a formula which would do this, or can I use a pivot table somehow? I'm totally stumped.
I need to have a drop down list which displays a different set of values depending upon the value selected by a previous drop down list. ie. (drop down box 1)= x, y, z. (drop down box 2)= either x1, x2, x3, or y1, y2, y3, or z1, z2, z3. I can produce a single drop down box thats not a problem but linking several drop down boxes is beyond me .
I currently have an Excel spreadsheet already created. I have added drop down lists using the Validation>Data feature and can get this to create the drop-down box, but the font is unreadable. If I create a new sheet and create the drop-down list it becomes readable. I can't figure out why the first is unreadable due to its small size. I eventually plan to add formulas to calculate how many yes's or no's in a column, but will address that later. I use Excel 2003.
Excel 2003. I have created an Excel purchase order form that has several drop-down lists that work just fine. However, I have yet to figure out how to change the font size and be able to use such things as BOLD, etc...even when I format the source data list. I can format everything else in the form...except how the drop-down list data is displayed.
I have a created a filter in my workbook. Text for the entire spreadsheet is set to Arial | 12 pt. Font. However, when I select any one drop down list the text therein is shown in a font size that is too small. How can I change the font size to make it more readable?
I have a drop down box in column N, however I would like the options in that drop down box to change depending on what appears in column M.
If column M Says "Lapse" then I want one drop down box to appear in column N, If coumn M says "NTU" then I would like column N to show different drop down options.
i have a string in a cell, that would say "Your results are -10% for the week". is there any way to change the font to red, for the number, including the minus sign preceeding it, and the percent sign following it. all are in one column, about a thousand rows. the rest can stay black.
try explaning this again....Also conditional formatting will not work... Looking for a formula in excel to do this--- I have a lottery numbers system in the 3 digit and 4 digit numbers...In row A we have the 3 digit that were drawn about 3000 ---3 digit numbers and in row C we have also 3000 numbers for the 4 digit ....All we need to do is Highlight All the even numbers and make them RED font---in the 3 and 4 digit rows... Is there a way to do that????? A--row-----C--row 123---------4429--make the 2red in the 3 digit row and 442red in the 4 digit row. 033---------5579--nothing in this row 229---------2200---etc....
I am wanting to be able to find the last row of data (range changes on a monthly basis) and change the colour of the font to white for the entire row. I don't want to delete the row as contains totals but want the font not visable.
Private Sub ComboBox1_Change() ComboBox1.List = Array(100, 200, 300, 400) If Range("I11").Value < Range("N11").Value Then If Sheets("Profile").Range("K18").Value < ComboBox1.Value Then Range("I11").Interior.ColorIndex = 2 Else Range("I11").Interior.ColorIndex = 3 End If End If
End Sub
I want it to change the cell color on drop down change. How can I modify things to have the change in drop down selection?
I'm creating a simple spreadsheet totalling units of alcohol up. Is it possible to change the colour of the fornt when different values are reached? For example if a total of under 8 units is reached this is displayed in green, if over 8 the figure is shown in red.
I'm trying to use Excel to keep team standings for a baseball board game. I had no problem calculating wining percentage. Finally figured out how to calculate 'games behind.' Now I'm wondering if there is a way to change the font color of a team name based on their wining pct?
A typical row contains: A2(Team Name), B2 (Wins), C2 (Losses), D2 (Pct (B2/(B2+C2)), E2 (GB). Is there a way to use the IF function to return the 'Team Name' in green if D2>.500, 'Team Name' in red if D2<.500, and 'Team Name' in black if D2=.500 ??
I am trying to figure out what the formula would be to change the font color if the entered number is less than the quota.
I'm making a spreadsheet for work that each of the reps will punch in their daily numbers, and, for example, if there quota was 70 and they are <70 than the font will turn red, and if greater or equal to 70 it will turn green.
I am looking for the best way to change the font of cells in a Worksheet that contain a formula. I have used Go To-Special-Formulas but have one slight problem with this method. It highlights all cells that contain an "=" sign. Some cells may be linked (ie cell A2 may say =cell A1). How would I change the font only for cells with a Function such as Sum or Vlookup and not for cells that simply link to another cell?
