i found the appropriate chart example in the chart section which was meant to show how to incorporate a feature which allows a line graphs line to change colour every time it hits a minimum/maxm value-however the example does not exist? re:conditional line

I have an XY scatter with 40 or so different lines displayed.I want to change the thickness of all of the lines. I dont want to have to try and select them individually and change them. Is there any way to do this? Perhaps changing the default thickness of lines for this type of graph?

I got the following table and it generates a random number either 1 or 0 (win or loss)
trade win/loss Account value
0 10,000
rand() 1 0 9,800
rand() 2 1 11,000
rand() 3 1 12,000
rand() 4 0 11,500
Each time I press F9, the Account value changes because the win/loss is generated randomly. Assuming, I press F9 100 times, how do I create a scatter plot chart with a best line fit for all the account values. I know how to create the scatter plot but how do I save all the values everytime I press F9.

Currently we have data that is plotted to a scatter plot along with an already defined line. Next, with a straight edge we attempt to draw a line parallel to the already defined line through the scatter points of data. We basically find two points that give us the best fit to the original line. What I attempted to do was calcualte the slope of the original line and then the slope of each combination of two points in the data set. I then subtracted the slopes, found the minimum difference and thought that would give me the line most parallel to the original. This doesn't seem to work. I'm at a loss, any advice?

I am reporting on the amount of certificates issued over a period of time. Basically the government stopped released data on the amount of one type of certificate being issued during this period and started releasing data on another type. I am having trouble displaying this other data which starts around half way into the time period. So all the data starts in June 2010... but this other data starts in June 2012.

I have some data where I am plotting cumulative M events versus time (blue). I would like to make a tick mark, or dot or something to indicate when event N (pink) occurs on the blue line. I'm working on a workbook for tracking debt. It has 15 sheets. Instructions, Charts (for showing debt change over time), "Invisible" (this is where my chart data is, I plan to hide it), and 12 month sheets. On the Invisible sheet, for example, I have my data set up. I'm pulling the data from other sheets. In the screenshot, I'm using =Month12!P48 as the formula to pull my data from the other sheets. But, the user hasn't entered data yet for month 12, so the line chart drops to zero there. I want it to just stop and do nothing, until there is data in that cell. (I would prefer to use a line chart vs a scatter chart for this, but I have the same problem in both)

Our small family business has a mailing campaign that we track with excel. However, we're very concerned about users opening the macro-filled master spreadsheet. Instead, we'd like a macro to do everything for them.
When a letter comes back in the mail with a bad address, the user types the Street number and street name such as "1234 Main St" into $A2 of c:dropbox eturned.xlsm, presses the macro button, and it should do the following:
Opens and Searches "Sheet1", "column S", in the file c:dropboxmaster1.xlsm, and finds the LAST instance of the address typed.Selects that entire rowCopies the entire row.Pastes the contents into the row of the active cell in the destination spreadsheet, overwriting what was there before. Such as $2:$2 if the address was typed in $A2.In the master1.xlsm spreadsheet, sets the entire copied row color to "gray".closes master1.xlsm and saves changes.
The end result is that the user now has an identical row of information in their spreadsheet, and the master spreadsheet's row is colored gray indicating it has been completed.
Other notes:I'm open to more efficient steps than this if you have them.There are approx 5,000 records to search through in master1.xlsx at any given time.

I need to label points on an XY scatter plot with a different set of label points than those provided by simply assigning data labels (don't need series name or x and/or y values displayed but an additional field of data). I can't use an add in (work machine) and would like to do this without using macros.
The project has 4 fields
A B C D
plot# type x y
I need to label the XY points for each series (type) by their plot #. The attached image/file shows what I'm looking for (added plot # labels manually for sake of display, in reality there are >2000 plots so I cant do it manually.

I have a row which contains a date header.
Under this there are multiple lines of activities each with a different end date and empty cells under the calendar headers so that people can enter how long they have worked against that project.
What I want to do is to compile a VBA coded which will cycle each line and at the intersection of where the end date and header match to colour that cell in a defined colour.

condition: the cell in row K and row L can only have value 0 or 1
if cell in the column K & columb L = 1
then both cell is green colour
if cell in the column k column L
then both cell is red colour?
taking example if k1=L1 =1 then is both green colour
if k1 =1 and L1 = 0 then both are red colour

I have developed a profit loss sheet for the office I work for. What i need is to have either cells change colour or the numbers in the cell change colour depening on the value in the cell.
What I was thinking is if the number is over 15% of the sale price the cell or number should be green, if the number is under 15% it should be black, and if its below 0% it will be red.

I dont have that great knowledge in Excel but i wanted to try and run a
macro in an IF formula but realised that was not possible. I have now got a
formula that gives a value in a cell when i want the whole row to turn to
red, but im not sure how i can get a macro that will change the whole row to

I have been trying to make it so that an autoshape changes colour according to the value of a particular cell but every time I run the macro the shape is black and I cannot work out why. The code is -

The company I work for has its own set of standard colours to be used in all documents. I've set the colours up in the colour palette using the below sub (x's are actually numbers):

I want to distribute this round to my workmates. Problem is that, if they set the colours in the workbook using the above sub, the workbook colours will be all wrong when clients open them on their computer. How do I get around this. I have thought about programmatically copying the sub into the open event of the activeworkbook. I've looked through this website, http://www.cpearson.com/excel/vbe.htm, but it doesn't explain how to copy code to the workbook events part of a vba project, only to a new module

I want to change the back ground colour of each row until G column when there is a text in the first cell. I have attached the excel that I want the background colour to be. Like suppose, F1 is the details of family 1, F2 is for family 2. I want each family to be coloured. The rows are not fixed for each family. If F1 details are coloured green, Fr is orange, F3 is green and F4 is orange again. And the number F1, F2, F3, F4 and so on are not ordered in ascending. They can be random. But I want the colour coding to be the same as what I have shown in the excel. I have so many rows like that. How do I do that using excel. I have tried conditional formatting. But it doesn't work.

I'm creating a simple spreadsheet totalling units of alcohol up. Is it possible to change the colour of the fornt when different values are reached? For example if a total of under 8 units is reached this is displayed in green, if over 8 the figure is shown in red.
