I would like to add a visual indicator to my sheet that checks if a specific file exists in the same directory as the active workbook.
The filename format would look like: "something.invoice.(mm-dd-yyyy).xlsm"
The macro would check the =today date, calculate the previous month, and check to see if a file named that exists.
Is it possible to search a directory looking for a particular file, then if found, copy the directory and all its contents to another location?
it should be noted that not all of the files will be *.xls.
I have some VBA which currently creates a directory when it produces an error. the code is as follows

What I would like to do is have an IF statement which checks if the directory exists.
I have an excel worksheet that creates the total arival/departure time for workers. In the "ore lucrate" column i need a formula that checks wheater or not in column b exists text, if it does then check if cell r12 is bigger than one hour and the substract exactly one hour from it, i.e. 03:45 needs to be 02:45. However if it's not bigger than an hour then put the result as it it (r12). And finally if the adiacent cell in "ore lucrate" doesnt contain text then it should be left as the folowing 00:00.

My IsFileThere function works fine on files, but does not detect directories. The len(Dir(Filename)) statement always returns a 0, with the Dir statement always simply populating with "". It works fine on filenames - so can anyone tell me why it does not pick up directories?

I keep getting a compile error saying that my argument is not optional, stopping on FindFolder. I am using the following to verify that a folder named with the current Fiscal Year exists before my script runs. If the folder does not exist then it needs to be created.

This worksheet name doesn't already exist in the workbook and I don't have any other files currently open.
I'm not entirely sure what is causing this, but I do need the sheet to be the name I am trying to change to.

Ran into 2 issues though. The first being is after this macro is run it saves a file in the folder with the name "Data Export" and before I had it do this if "Data Export" was already there

-Alternate solution if this is way to challenging, can I have it pop up the Save Message box to let the user try a new name if "Data Export" exists. I was trying to think through that too..
2nd Issue is when I loop the files in the folder I selected in my macro, I want it to ignore "Data Export" files. Before I just took a shortcut and had it save outside of the data folder, which was fine but now we are running on so many files a day that we need it inside the same folder for organization purposes.

I have an excel spreadsheet that has a list of pathways to different folders (ex. Q:TechnicalY001) in each row. I want a macro that will search each of the folders I list in a range of cells and return the most recent file by the Date in the filename:
Example: Cell A1 contains folder path Q:TechnicalY001
Cell A2 contains folder path Q:TechnicalY002
The macro would return the most recent file in Y001 and dump the filename into cell B1. Then it would return the most recent file in Y002 and dump the filename into B2.
After I have all of the most recent filenames, I want to be able to search each of those files for data in certain cells and then dump that data into the spreadsheet. The cells are always going to be the same in each file.
