Double Click Checks Cells Color In Another Sheet?
Aug 14, 2014I am trying to set up a double click macro that checks the color index of the exact same cell you double click on, but in another sheet. What would be the syntax for that?

Go To Specified Sheet & Workbook By Double Click
Jul 24, 2007In a folder I have 2 excel files the the first file called products & contains sheets with the names of each product, in each product sheet I recorded the names of some customers.
The second file is called customers & contains sheets with the names of each customer.
when both files are open & I am in the products file I want to be able to select a product lets say shampoo double click on one of the customers & automatically go to the specified customer in the customers file.
I inserted this code in every sheet of products file & things went fine:

these numbers are unique and randomly allocated to other sheets in the workbook.
i would like a macro which when a user double clicks on a cell in the list of numbers .. the macro will jump to the sheet containing that number.. (i.e. do something like the find function)...
I have some code below which might be useful for you but I can't work out what I need to write.

Jul 29, 2006I am trying to do is use VBA to move from the diagram directly to the macro number. The Cells on the Diagram have functions in them and there is no reference to what macro goes with which function. My list loocs like this

Apr 23, 2008I have spreadsheet with client names. I'd like to build logic that will open a form with client information when a user double-clicks on the client name. But I have a couple of problems.
- First, I'd like to protect the sheet and hide the formulas. But when I protect the sheet, I get the "the cell or chart you are trying to change is protected" error when I double click the protected cell.
- If I deselect the "Select Locked Cells" options when I protect the sheet, I no longer have the ability to double-click on the cell.

Find Adjacent Cells On Double Click
Jan 19, 2007I have two columns in a spreadsheet.
In cell "$D$3" is the word "Period 1".
I want to be able to do the following.
Double click on cell D3, where the word period 1 is.
VBA then looks up that period in column B, and finds the corresponding weeks for period 1 from column A.
I then want VBA to list these weeks next to the period 1 I double clicked, so in column E.
I have attached a spreadsheet as an example.

Double-Click Cell Border Jumps To Other Cells
Oct 23, 2008I'm trying to double-click a cell to edit the contents, and I am off a few pixels, it treats the double-click as a double-click on the cell border, not the cell contents, and the focus jumps to another cell in the direction of the border instead of going into edit mode. The effect is as if I had pressed Ctrl and the arrow in the direction of the border I clicked on.
The only way I've found to disable this is to turn off the option "Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop", but unchecking that also disables actually useful things, like dragging the corner of a formula call to copy it down, etc.
Is there a good way to disable this cell jumping when I accidentally double-click a cell border?

I start in the code making sure column Action Plan completion has a value in it. Copying in the issue modified column if neccesary.

The info I copied above is placed into the column K.
When I run the macro, the cell formula outputs "#value".
However, if I go double-click then enter the cell calculates just fine.
I've tried excels overall recalculate function, but that doesn't change this.
Does anybody know how to simulate a double-click on a cell?
Double Click Row To Return Data To Userform For Edit Then Return Back To Sheet
Jan 30, 2014I am trying to create a data entry sheet to enter quotes on. When a quote is received, I click on my "Add quote" button and a userform appears. Data is entered into the userform (frmEntryForm) and returned back to the next available row.
I also need to be able to:
Edit a row by double-clicking it. When a row is double-clicked, data from that row is passed back to the userform, edited and returned back to the same row (to prevent duplicates).Validate that all fields are complete within the userform where relevant (i.e. if the work is not complete or in progress then the "Invoice Number" and "Actual Cost" fields are disabled and blanked to prevent entry (I think this is almost sorted judging by my tests)

Click Cells To Take Attendance By Cell Color
Feb 18, 2008I would like for a vba programmer to tell me if the following program can be written before I attempt to code it. When I open Excel I want to see cells containing names in a square array with red backgrounds. As I click on each cell I want the cell to turn green and I want an alphabetized column of the names to have a 1 recorded(after I click) indicating that the person is present. If a person's name is red then I need a 0 recorded. If possible, I would like to be able move over one column each day that I take attendance by clicking on a cell in a row above the column of names. I am a math professor and I write computer code most every day but I have only written some small routines in vba that did not involve events.

May 12, 2009I seem to have broken something!. Whenever I double-click to open an Excel file (.xls files are associated correctly), Excel opens, but nothing happens. That status bar says "Ready," but my workbook never appears.
If I do a File-> Open within Excel, then I am able to open the workbook. I have no idea what is going on. This occurs for all Excel files whether they contain macros or not.

on the worksheet there are six ranges...each range has three columns...the first is team name, the second is rep name, and the third is the metric being measured.
what i would like to happen is...
when a team name is double clicked in any one of the ranges, i would like all three cells (team name, rep name, and metric) to be boldfaced and have the cell interior change color for all instances across all six ranges that match the team name double clicked. when double clicked again, it should go back to original formatting.

Oct 26, 2006I want a X to be put in the activecell if empty or removed if already there. By searching this forum I found and read the article "Adding a Command Button to the Excel Right Click Pop-up Toolbar/Command Bar" and was able to add the code to do this to the right click sub menu. Is there a way to do the same thing by double clicking on the cell? This probably seems a bit nit pickey but I would just like for it to work using double click for my users. It opens normally, but when I try to close It, It opens again. After that I can close It normally.
