I have a macro called pull that contains a year several times -see sample code below
I woulsd like a macro that will prompt and enable me to change the year from say 2013 to 2014 on the Macro called "Pull" . I intend to set up button to link to the macro
With Workbooks("Fruit & Veg Dept Commisions.2013.per Budget.xls")
With .Worksheets("Service")
Set cfind = .Cells.Find(what:=CDate(mmonth), lookat:=xlWhole)
.Cells(9, cfind.Column) = x
I am working on a budget for myself and want it to have running dates so the first data column will have the current month. I was able to succeed with this using the EOMONTH function followed by EDATE functions in the following cells, I then have these columns filled using a nested VLOOKUP MATCH function pair.
The problem I run into is with the months that extend into the next year, in my data table I have month by month listed started on 01/01/2014 ending 12/01/2014 but as soon as the month is no longer January the last column in my budget cannot find the information needed due to it looking for 2015. so what I would like to know is if there is a way to make the data table change the year to the following year after today is beyond that month, so for example on March 1 2014 both January and February would be changed to 2015.
I need to calculate SUM and AVERAGE of rainfall for each and every year separately and must be displayed separately in a separate column. For your easy understanding, I have done manually and attached the excel sheet.
I am looking for Macro code preferably to get list of dates with Saturday / Sunday in a separate columns which falls Saturday and Sunday on imputing the year.
I have a sheet in my workbook with at least 180 small tables, there may be more. I woulds like to be able to change total formulas for all tables at once to show either year-to- date or total year.
For example: If we have only progressed through the second period of the year, I would like to choose something to indicate period 2. At other time I may want to know the total year whether the periods are completed or not.
I have a workbook with about 12 worksheets within it. I am trying to input a button on worksheet 3 that when pushed would activate worksheet 12. Basically the same as if you clicked on the tab at the bottom of the screen called worksheet 12.
I realise that you have to create a button which Ive done. However I cannot seem to figure out the proper macro code to get the button to change the current worksheet when its pushed.
I have looked at a series of Change Event topics and code but can't see what I need. I simply want a macro to run automatically when a cell ....which contains the Maximum time from a range.... changes. I assume I use .... Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Excel.Range) ...but I have no idea what code to use...
I've got a worksheet_selectionchange macro on a sheet, and another macro that you can run after it. The issue is that when the second macro runs, it also runs the selectionchange macro, and wipes some of the info that the second macro should be copying.
Is there a piece of code that I can use in the second macro to block the selectionchance code from running until it's compelte?
I have a bar graph with 2 series of data. Anyone knows how I can specify the order in which they appear? code looks similar to the following. The bar graph shows the second series before the first series. How do I reverse the order?
With cht .ChartType = xlColumnClustered
' first data series Set ser = .SeriesCollection.NewSeries With ser .Values = someValues .XValues = someValues End With
' second data series Set ser = .SeriesCollection.NewSeries With ser .Values = someValues .XValues = someValues End With
The loop is putting the correct formula into the cell - but THEN... - I wish to (within the loop and before it moves on) check if the value is equal to OR greater than 1 - if it is, make it a value of 1 (this '1' is then used at the bottom of the column of data to give a total). I need to do this before it moves onto the next cell. What am I doing wrong? Is it because once it puts formula in the cell, it then moves down - do I need to select the cell again first? As I had originally posted on this site - link: url]http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?t=641970[/url]
I have a file which I use for planning purposes, sometimes two or three years ahead of time. I have a "Reference_Year" cell, B1, which controls most of the dates in the spreadsheet.
I have a code which is intended to change the current year of Excel so if I have 2016 as the "Reference_Year" and I enter "05/05" somewhere in the range D5:D50, the date will appear as 05/05/2016. I feel like I am not too far but at the moment the date I get is 05/05/2000. Ideally I would like it to work with a Reference_Year entered in the format 01/01/2016 (which is used for the rest of the spreadsheet).
I imported a large amount of data from another program. The data is in one column and is in date format (02/24/57), for example. The data is made up of my clients birthdays. I want to import those birthdays into my outlook to create reminders but the dates are years past. I need to change the birth year to the current year in order for the reminder to activate going forward. If I dont update the year, the dates import back to the date they were born. In some cases 60 years back. I am hoping that I dont have to manually change each date before I attempt to import into outlook.
=IF(I1239="","",IF(OR(H1239="Induction",H1239="One to One"),WEEKNUM(I1239)-WEEKNUM(K1239)+1,""))
Which works fine an counts the weeks from the input date I1239 from the initial start date K1239, however if the input date runs into next year 2014 the result ends up as a minus figure eg -47 instead of the next sequential figure which would be say 5 or 6
I am trying to devise a service schedule that has the installation date in say cell D4 and I would like this to automatically place a date a year from there in to cell E4, then 4 weeks before date comes round i would like the text cell to turn yellow, then on & after the date to turn red. Is this even possible?
I' using 2007 I'm trying to make a calendar that you can change the year in a text box e.g. 2014 - 2015 and it will change the date and days in the calender rather than having to do it manually.
Is there a way to make this formula refer to a cell rather than having the specific year in there?
I have a worksheet called "zz_Exchange" that contains the exchange rate for my company for each month of the financial year. I am using this info in a summary page that uses the data for multiple calculations in the workbook. As we pass each month I would like to move the focus of a cell in the summary sheet to the relevant month in "zz_Exchange"
The column names are "currency_code" (USA Euro etc), "currency_year" (09, 10) "period" (1-12) "exchange_rate" (this is where the data is held)
I am trying to simplify a spreadsheet. I have a column with dates from last year and I was wondering if there is a formula that would automatically change the color of the cell once the date is over one year to the day to show that the date in the cell has expired?
I have a TextBox and a ComboBox. the TextBox shows the current date
VB : TextBox1.Value = Format(Date, "dd/mm/yyyy")
The ComboBox has a list index of years say from 1991 to 2030. Is it possible Change only the "yyyy" in the TextBox based on the changed value in ComboBox.
Say the textbox1 shows today 14/06/2014. now if we select 2016 in ComboBox1 the TextBox1 date should changed to 14/06/2016.
I've been heavily updating my Budget file I've written in excel. The code I'm working with and having slight trouble with is as follows
Try this formula. Column letter & Row number are for example only. Array formulas will have curly brackets {} emcompassing the ENTIRE formula. You do not add these, you Enter the formula with Ctrl+Shift+Enter and Excel will add them (details: Array formulas). Many more Excel Formulas  Z100 =IF(TODAY()>DATE(2013,1,31),"January's Ending Balance is:",IF(TODAY()<=DATE(2013,1,31),"January's Current Balance is:"))Â
Basically, if the current date is after the last day of a given month (in this case January 31), then the cell should display "January's Ending Balance is:", if between January 1, (current year), and January 31, (current year), it should display "January's Current Balance is:". The code above does work great, but I need it to look at the current year according to the computer's date, and go by that, instead of having to change the code where it says 2013 to 2014 etc every year. This would be a hassle, as I have a tab coded for each month of the year. Id rather it be automated.
I need a macro where I can highlight a column and change all of the 2 digit years to a 4 digit year (actually, some of the 2 digit years are only 1 digit, e.g. "9" instead of "09").
I have an if then statement that I can use in the column after it, but I'd rather change the actual numbers in the original column, rather than adding another column (and having to keep the original, too).
The statement I had was: =if(A1>=50,1900+A1,2000+A1)
I just copy dragged down to get the cell numbers for the rest of the column... but using A1 was just for an example, here, it's not necessarily going to be in that column. It needs to be just whichever cells I select.
It seems like it should be pretty simple, but I don't know how to word it in a macro.
I have problem to change text code into numerical code using macro. i have data contain text code and i would like to convert it into numeric . each text code has dedicated numerical code for example I have 4 fluids with text code text code:
FW = Fresh water SW = Saline eater CW = connate water MW = Meteoric water
numeric code as follow
FW=1 SW=2 CW=3 MW=4
I would like to convert the text code into numeric code, it is easy if using excell , but it is routine job for me , i need to create macro to be more simple .
I have two combo boxes: One for entering the Year, and one for the month. I can produce a message if the user leaves either box blank but I want a message to apear it the user selects a year AND month less than the current year (iYear) and current month (iMonth). I therefore need an AND statement between the two criteria but i dont know how to do it.
'....First Checks the Comboboxes arent blank then below Checks a future month/year secection is chosen
ElseIf YearBox.Value = iYear & iMonthbox < iMonth Then MsgBox ("You may not enter Data before the current Month") Else '...... Run main code here
I am writing a macro and need it to fill in this year on the format '07 in a certain cell. I want it to update automatically as the year changes. Something like this: ActiveCell.Offset(0, 3) = "'" & ?this_year? It is very important that it says exactly '07 and is a string, not 2007, 07, or today's date. What should I put instead of ?this_year??
I have recorded the code below that does what I need, problem is I will use the code on files with various amounts of rows. What can I change in it so it will work on all different size files.
Is there a way to make the attached worksheet automatically shade out all the Saturdays & Sundays in any given month everytime you change the Month/Year cell at the top of the worksheet, as example? I've tried using the weekday/Weekend formula, but can't quite get it right.
Looking for a formula to compare current year values to previous year values. For example, if the current year has values for the month of January through March (100, 100 and 150), current year value will be 350 and the previous year value will be 975 (i.e. 300+275+400). The aim here is to make the previous year months summation equal to the present (or current) values. As new values are entered for the current year, the previous year's values will have to change to reflect the new month's value entered for the current year.
