View 14 RepliesI am trying to add up a specfic column in Excel based on the parameters or two different ones.
I.e If Col B is blank and Col D is 03 then add up the value in Col P
But I can't seem to work out how to do it, I have tried conditional sums and everything else I can think of, but it is still not working.
I am trying to create a formula with mutiple criterias to come back with results of whether that person is Eligible or Not Eligible for stock. The criteria to be Eligible is as follows:
1) Hire Date before 1st March 2007
2) Band 1 and the performance review = Exceeded
3) If Band 2-5 then performance review must be either Achieved or Exceeded
See attached file for the example. I have got as far as the first 2 points but i am struggling with incorporating the last point.
I've followed several tips on how to match these formulas, but somehow cannot make them work. I'm using Open office's version of excel. I need a formula that searches on 'tension downfall' for data in the first sheet, and then return a value corresponding to the row and column that match the input on the first sheet.
'tension downfall' shows a double entry table which shows amperage against length and returns a wire size. I would like to input amperage and length on two different cells and have the wire size needed for those values. Is it clear enough? I'm attaching my current work to make it a little bit clearer.
I need to create an 'IF' function that nests four EOMONTH functions.
The following throws an error:
=IF(D12="1st month goes here",EOMONTH(D7,2),if(D12="2nd month goes here",EOMONTH(D7,3),if(D12="3rd month goes here",EOMONTH(D7,5)))
EOMONTH will increase the date in the resultant cell accordingly.
I'm trying to return the value of "true" of "false" if a time in a cell falls within 2 time periods I've specified.
=IF(AND(D6>=MorningChargeStart,D6=EveningChargeStart,D6
I have a row that contains a different time (hh:mm) in each column where each column represents a different date which is display in row 3. If there is no time the cell is populated with "N/A"
I want to count how many cells for a specified Month/year are not equal to "N/A". I have been able get each selction criteria to work but when I try merging numeric and non-numeric queries I lose it.
The following formula was able to give me the count of cells "N/A"
=COUNTIF('Master Data'!$UA59:$ALZ59, ">0")
and this gave me a count by Month/Year
=SUMPRODUCT(--(YEAR('Master Data'!$UA3:$ALZ3)=2012),--(MONTH('Master Data'!$UA3:$ALZ3)=1))
When I tried creating one COUNTIF I was unable to get it without an error as I needed the YEAR/MONTH functions.
I have a file with many intercompany transactions. There is a range of business unit numbers that if anyone one number is in both Column B "Bus Unit" and Column E "Affiliate" I want the row deleted.
Please see the attached, it is more clear I hope. The two yellow rows would be deleted.
The list of business units that I would want to never be on the same row is "4, 7, 41, 44, 46, 51"
I am looking for an Excel VBA code that can delete pair of rows that has certain criteria. I have included an example in the attachment and highlighted the rows that should be deleted. Since the values in each coloumn is going to change every day , I am looking for a dynamic code.
The objective is to:
To delete rows that has same code (columnd D), same basis (coloumn E), same Effective (coloumn H), value of TT (Column J) is either TI or TO and has offsetting Amounts (L) ie the sume becomes zero. Example pair of row 7 and row 8 as well as pair of row 12 and row 13 should be deleted.
TO and TI are actually transfer in and transfer out. Since the TI and TO for these rows make the amount zero for same code and same basis on the same effective date, I do not want to include this in the spreadsheet.
I have this search function that works well: =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("which is < ",E9)),"test ok", "not ok") my E9 cell contains the phase: "I have a number which is < 9, and which is positive..." E9 has "which is < ", then i get back "test ok"
My question is.... how can I do this multiple times within the same function/cell. i.e. if I wanted to search "which is < " and/or "positive" in the same cell, then i get back "test ok", "positive number") I keep trying all combinations to no avail, like: =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("which is < ",E9)),"test ok", "not ok"), =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("positive",E9)),"positive number", "no good")
Keep in mind I am using a numeric example, although I am using this function to check if part of a cell matches specific text...
Is it possible to nest the two functions of match & offset. I am working with two worksheets. One is a constant the other is building. I want to match a text from the first spreadsheet in the second sheet (otherwords I want to find that exact within the other spreadsheet) then I want to retreive the offset value to the right of the matched cell and place it in the constant worksheet where the formula is.
For Example
Sheet 1 Sheet2
Company: First Name: Company: Name:
Adamack's ? Adamack's Patrick
So if I put the formula where the ? mark is, I want to match the first company name on sheet 1, from the range in sheet 2, then I want to get the offset from that match 0,1 to give me the name patrick.
I've got a forecast from a customer and need to summarize it with part number, quantity and date.
The spreadsheet is part no in column a due dates in row 1 values at the intersection of part no and due date and i don't want 0 quantity to report back.
my output needs to be partno, date due, quantity.
I have come up with 5 countif formulas that work perfectly separately but need them to be combines into one big criteria.
=countif(PM[ProjectAge],">=200"
=countif(PM[Customer Name],"*" & purch & "*"
AND so on for each criteria. H
I would like to perform a search on only the worksheets listed in a worksheet titled table of contents. I would like to use multiple criteria for this search and send only the unique results to a worksheet titled results. Each worksheet listed in the table of contents has a cell address for each heading that I would like to extract data from the same column. The attached workbook example shows the data that I would like to collect when I search for cells that begin with "AB" and cells that begin with "CD". I collected this data by copy and pasting all the data from each worksheet into the results page and then applying filters and advanced filter to remove duplicates. This method does not work well for the original workbook as the data is quite extensive.
Create_List.xlsx
I've attached a sample of the data I'm using.
I have two spreadsheets (the samples for which I have shown side by side in Sheet 1 of the attached file).
Spreadsheet 1 is about 30,000 rows and too large for me to change the formatting and structure.
Spreadsheet 2 is the output I need and the format is required by other stakeholders.
In spreadsheet 1 I want to sum quantity in stock for Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 for each product and allocate it to spreadsheet 2 according to the month in which the product expires. For example, there will be a total of 92 units of product 413302 which will expire in Nov, 2014. Therefore I want 92 to be placed in cell N6 of Spreadsheet 2.
Unfortunately the product number is not unique - there are multiple sub products in spreadsheet 1 but they all have the same quantities of stock. The sub products are referenced in other parts of the report so I can't consolidate by Product Number. This also prevents me from using the SUMIFS function as it will duplicate the number found in the sub products.
What I need, perhaps in a combination of functions, is to find the first instance of product 413302 in Spreadsheet 1 that is expiring in Nov 14, sum the product types and give the result in cell N6 of Spreadsheet 2.
I need to create a formula that counts the number of times that an age range appears within a column. In column G, there is a list of ages based on a demographic collection. The ages range from 13 to 50+. I want to designate another cell to count the number of times the characters between 13 and 18 occur within that column. I have =COUNTIF(G8:G20,"13") How do I add "14", "15", "16", "17", and "18"?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a table with 3 columns with an unkown number of rows (text, date, date) that is being imported daily.
I want to create a 4th column with dates starting from today and each subsequent row be one day earlier. I want to look at 30 previous days.
I then want to count the number of rows (looking at column 1-3) with the following criteria:
Countif column2<= "date in colum4" AND column3< "date in column4"
I have the following Formula:
=SUMIF('Sheet2'!C:C;Sheet1!B3;'Sheet2'!E:E)
In this way I got the sum of all items located in column E wich have the same value than in B3 in Sheet 1....
How could I change the formula in the way that only returns the Values in Sheet2 E:E when (If equals to B2 and C2 in Sheet 1 then Sumif)
The value which I want to use to filter is in the same columns in both sheets
I have a spreadsheet that is set out to look similar to a MS Project plan, with dates across the top, users in column A and Assignments in column B. In the corresponding cell that matches the user, date and assignment they will enter the number of hours they anticipate working on the assignment.
I then have a summary sheet that covers all assignments, week ending dates and users. I want to be able to calculate the hours and copy it into the cell in the summary sheet that matches the Day, User and Assignment. I have tried using SUMIF, but this requires the criteria cells to all be in columns, but with this sheet the dates are in a row.
I have built the following code which should look through a data sheet and then work out the instances where it meets the following criterias:
= "Client A"
= "First letter of surname is "a"
The code is as follows:
Public rowcn
Sub compare()
Dim rngTemp As Range
Dim intCounter As Integer
loop_col = "Client A"
data_sheet = "Data"
target_sheet = "Summary"
rowcn = 2
Do.............................
I need to count the number of occurances that meet two criteria i.e.,

How can u use sumifs to meet 2 critera and then sum the one column..
=SUMIFS('[South Pac Load Tracker - MAR14.xlsm]SPECIALS TEAM NZ'!$M$8:$M$100000,'[South Pac Load Tracker - MAR14.xlsm]SPECIALS TEAM NZ'!$C$8:$C$100000,B5,'[South Pac Load Tracker - MAR14.xlsm]SPECIALS TEAM NZ'!$B8:$B100000,$A$2)
That is the formula i used and it worked, yet when i try to use it for other names (where b5 would be) the numbers skew and do whatever they want..
I just want to sum all of the values in M:M which have B5 or "fiona" in columns C:C and also match the date from B:B with A2.
I believe ive done it right and as i say it does work with the first name in b5 but when i pull the formula down it doesnt work anymore...
Aim - Extract every word after: and before , and put them in the appropriate headings
I have attached my desired results in column B - E. To calculate the answer, the heading of the tile is normally just before the : Meaning the Answer is after the : and before the ,
On the attached example i would like a formula in F2 which sums all the values where column equals "Smith" and column B equals "Golf European". I'm assuming it would involve the SumIf formula but i'm not sure if this is the best solution when the criteria is in two columns?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a spreadsheet that has employee name and average hours worked.. The employee is listed multiple times because each row represents a pay period with number of hours worked. the last column I used to average the hours worked. So what I need is whenever there is a value greater than 30 in column g, I need to copy the row where column G has a value. It can be copied on the same sheet or on another.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use this function to figure out averages for tests. there can be up to 25 tests in the sheet which is where the "YES" comes in. If the test booklet was used for this class then YES will be placed in the cell in field B2:B26.
Now thes issue I'm having is that the formula is doing the math for the fields C2:C26 if there is a number in them if there is even if it does not say YES in the B2:B26 field.
Here is the formula/function I'm using:
=(COUNTA(C2:C26))/COUNTIF($B$2:$B$26,"YES")
I have a list of items (TR Sets) from 1 to 96 in the range B4:B99, with values corresponding to each one (Acid Number) in the range C4:C99. I would like to make a separate list that names each TR Set (using numbers 1-96) that has an Acid Number > 0.1 . Is there a formula to do this?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI need to sum a column when the quantities meet two criteria. The name in one column, and the date in another column. Probably an easy formula, but new at this and having trouble.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to make a function that gets the range like. "A1:B9" And this function automatically gets the range when given criteria meet.
For example: I have a cell A1 with value 0 and next 0 value in cell A10. I want to put that function in C1. So this function returns me the range like " A1:B9"
I need a formula that will tell me if EITHER two cells = a text word. I've tried a few things and can't seem to get it to work!!!!
See in the example of my spreadsheet below: If A2 = FALSE or B2 = FALSE then D2 should display "Allowed" if either are TRUE D2 should display "Not Allowed"
Is this possible!?!?! I've tried way to many different formulas and am close to giving up..
