User Has To Click Button To Mark Task As Complete....

I have a spreadsheet that users update which I then want them to perform a number of checks on. At the bottom will be a button for them to click stating "Click here to confirm checks completed". When they click it I want it to put a flag somewhere that I can then use to prevent them from saving if they haven't clicked the button. I know how to do the saving but, but how do I get the button to put a flag somewhere?

Excel cannot complete this task with available resources. Choose less data or close other applications. My file is only about 3mb in size, made up of 17 worksheets. These sheets are calculated by referencing to another file that contains all of the background data. The data file is also about 3mb, made up of 13 worksheets.
There are probably about 2 - 3 thousand formulas in the file in total, ranging including vlookups, sumifs, sumproducts, etc. When the data was contained within the file there was no problem. I moved each data sheet into a new workbook to trim the size of my file and also stop the incessant calculation and this is when the problem started. Now, when I open the file and am prompted to update, it will update to about half way and then throw up the error message!

These represent time it takes for a fax to send. I'm trying to find the average time it takes for these faxes to send. Using the built in @AVERAGE option does produce a number albeit an incorrect number. Wondered if I could convert these to decimal numbers then covert the result back to time - when trying that I don't get an average but rather a time of day - say 5:55:30PM.

i have a excel file i need to markup by a 10% value. It is the L column starting at row 2 till a varying number of rows. i need to mark up all of the rows in the spreadsheet. i do not know how to make it repeat.
This is the formula =L2*1.1(i think its the right one) but i do not understand how to make it repeat. any help would be greatly appreciated.
I need the value to be replaced with the marked up value.

I have VBA code that attempts to delete an entire row from my worksheet:

Selection.EntireRow.Delete
This works fine on small data sets, but on larger data sets it gives me the error message, "Excel cannot complete this task with available resources". This happens even when I try to do the deletion manually (without VBA code). Clearly, the code itself is not the problem.
My document has about 250,000 rows and 2,500 columns. While this is big, it is significantly smaller than Excel's documented limit of 1,048,576 rows and 16,384 columns.
I am using Excel 2007. My computer has 2GB of RAM but even when I try it on a computer which has 8GB of RAM it gives me the same error. If I "ClearContents" instead of "Delete" it works fine. For my purposes, however, deletion is entirely necessary.

Is there a way to set a cell so if you click it, an "X" will be in the cell and if you click it again it will clear? Specifically I am looking to do this in the "1st Trip" column on the attached. I was going to use a check box but the appear to small and it does seems as though in Excel 2003 the size can be adjusted?

I am creating a resource and I'd like the users of this resource to be able to click a cell which will then automatically come up with an x or similar symbol (tick?) and then if they click the cell again the x will disappear. Is this possible? I don't want a drop down box where they have to choose what they want, I want it to be an automatic action when the cell is clicked because there will be many cells that I will need to do this.

Running into this issue of "transworksheet macros"
I have a master "update" commandbutton on sheet 1. I have two sub "update" buttons on sheet 2 and 3 respectively.
What I would like to do is have the user click the master button, that would "click" the two sub buttons so they run their respective macros on their respective worksheets (within the same worksheet.
I have tried pasting the macro code in the master button, telling it to select the sub worksheet and then run the macro, but the marco runs itself on the master worksheet instead.

Currently I have 5 identical command buttons which do something similar but in a different cell.
What i want to do is sum up the 5 different task using a single command button.
When cmdaddsp1 is clicked the first time cell "B4" is populated with a value from a table.
When cmdaddsp1 is clicked a second time cell "B5" is to be populated with a value from a table.
When cmdaddsp1 is clicked a third time cell "B6" is to be populated from the table,
and so forth.
Is there a loop or anything that can be used for this? I only want other cells to be populated when the command button is pressed.

I have a pretty simple sheet where users need to enter 8 cells in a single row. Issue I have is that they often ignore certain cells or enter data in incorrect format. I've toyed with data validation but that doesn't help if they simply ignore that cell.
What I'm wondering is, is it possible to create a user form that displays as soon as data is entered in first cell (Col B which they cannot avoid), where the user form then dictates the remaining cells that MUST be completed or the whole row will be emptied if cancelled.

I currently am using a form button to create new rows.
I need two different kind of buttons. I have a button that does this-
VB:
Sub InsertRow()
'this inserts a row where the button is clicked.

However, when I try and create these codes using a Command button (I need it for the color), I get the error
"unable to get the buttons property of the Worksheet class"
P.S one other thing, say the button is in row 3, and Cells A1 and A2 are merged, when you click the button in row 3, it should extend the merge to A3.

I have a series of consecutive cells that I have a number entered in it. AP50 through AP 74 are numbered 1 through 25. I don't want the user to be able to change the number but I do want them to be able to click in the cell as this makes other functions happen.

i have some code that allows my users to enter their user ID on double clicking. The worksheet code below shows how on double clicking into Colum 3 (If Target.Column = 3 Then) then the user ID will appear. Q: How do i get the code to work in Columns 3, 5 and 7 but not those inbetween?! I tried using "or" but it allowed the ID to be entered into all columns! i.e. 3,4,5,6 and 7 which is not what I require. In short I need the ID to appear on double clik into every other column.

I have many workbooks that I receive from clients I run various Excel VBA macros on depending on which workbook it is, and I need to automate all of this so that anyone can run an simple .exe user interface designed in VB 2005 Express Edition where when that interface is run, a window opens on the destop with a collection of buttons, when the user clicks one of the buttons, Excel launches, loads the appropriate file and runs an already-existing appropriate Excel macro, then some file maintenance is done, like moving a group of files from one subdirectory to another.

I am using VBA to pull a web query to get sone info from an intranet site.
Unfortunately, the data it pulls is usually old. I've found the only solution is to open a browser manually and to click the Reload button on the web page then navigate back to my workbook and run it again. Then it will pull the most up to date info.
I've tried several ways of forcing a refresh of the data, but have not figured it out yet.
I have been trying the past couple of hours to use the send keys button to tab down to the button on the page I need and to hit enter, thus forcing a refresh, but I can't seem to get that to work either.

On a spreadsheet I have a button which has a macro assigned to it, for some reason when I protect the worksheet then then click the button, nothing happens (or though I do get egg timer for a second). but when I unprotect the shet its fine.
ive used this type of method many tiems, and cant see what the problem is, have tried all combination of locking and unlocking cells in and around etc, but nothign changes it.

I have a spreadsheet with 6 buttons on it. Ive been using the code from Daves Download Page to log users of the spreadsheet, however im now want to log which button is being clicked the most. Is this possible? Ive tried to do it myself, by adding a hidden sheet, and adding code to each button to add a line to the new sheet each time the button was clicked etc, but faield miserably.

Say a user inputs information into the user form, when they click enter, it enters all the data on the next available line in a workbook.
Is is possible for the user to click a cell on a previously entered row, and have the userform populate with the existing information?
example.
say the user has to fill out 3 separate areas. 1, 2, 3. However the user only has data for 1 and 2. They go ahead and enter the infromation for 1 and 2 and click submit to transfer to sheet. Now later he gets information for area 3, can the row the information that he previously entered, lets say column 1, row 1, and it reopens the userform with the information for 1 and 2 prefilled from what he entered previously?

Is there any way, through VBA code, to click a button on a sheet in another workbook. This button has a macro assigned to it. What I need to be done is this :- the workbook which has the button is open. The code should click the button on a specific sheet. On this action, the macro assigned to the button should get called.
I could just call the macro which is assigned to the button in this code. But the requirement is that the button click operation should call the macro.
I have found that one can do quite a lot with the code, but this seems to be one a whole different level. I came across a possible solution in the below mentioned link but it doesnt seem to be working for me. [URL]
