I'm working with 2 different sheets, sheet1 and sheet2.
I'll type in entry 1 to 4. 2 comboboxes, 2 cell values. then click on the command button1.
i'll pass over the values to sheet2 like this: array(comboBox1.value, range("a2").value, comboBox2.value, range("a4").value
I was asked to check against the last time the user click on the command button. if combobox1.value, range("a2").value, comBoBox2.value, range("a4").value MATCHES exactly the last entry in sheet2, it'll give a popup Box before it continues.
The first Command Button ( called CommandButton22 ) displays the result of some other calculation as its Caption ... this caption will therefore be changing from time to time.
I would like the second Command Button (called EnterButton ), when clicked, to send the caption from CommandButton22 to whatever cell on the active spreadsheet the user clicked into just prior to clicking on the 'EnterButton'.
I would like each time that I click on the 'EnterButton' for the Caption in CommandButton22 to be sent to the next cell down and so on and so on etc.
I created a UserForm in which the user inputs data and then press "OK" in order to save an output into a specific worksheet. Once the "OK" button clicked, the UserForm repeats itself with some textboxes in blank so that a new output can be generated.
I am trying to display in a Label of the UserForm the number of times the "OK" button is clicked BUT starting from one. In other words, before pressing "OK" the Label indicates "unit no1" and once the "OK" button is clicked it should go "unit no1 +1" and so on.
For that purpose, I am using the following code:
[Code] ......
The label displays Unit nº1 when starting (which is right). However when I click the OK button it still displays "unit nº1" and then it starts counting normally.
The thing is that it should display "unit nº2" from the 1st "OK" click.
I have a command button in my excel sheet, if I or my team person clicks on it, the same file has to go to my manager's mail ID from my or my team person's (who clicks) outlook.
How can I have userform 3 when clicked fill in a textbox on userform2 and then finally assign it to cell F3 on my worksheet.
VB: Private Sub CommandButton2_Click()End Sub
So I need commandbutton2 (which needs to retain a value of 1` when clicked ) on Userform3 to assign the value of 1 to TextBox44 (Which is using control Source F3 so the value here ends up in F3
VB: Private Sub TextBox44_Change() If TextBox44 > 5 Then MsgBox "Your entry must be part between 1 and 5", vbCritical Exit Sub End If End Sub
i want the user to be able to change the cell color on the click of a command button. the worksheet is protected. when the user click the command button the active cell changes to red and offsets by 1. then the work sheet is locked again.
The two problems I am having is 1. I want the range to begin from row 10, column k to column FD. all cells down
the second problem is the current code allows me to edit locked cell columns A to J ...
Running into this issue of "transworksheet macros"
I have a master "update" commandbutton on sheet 1. I have two sub "update" buttons on sheet 2 and 3 respectively.
What I would like to do is have the user click the master button, that would "click" the two sub buttons so they run their respective macros on their respective worksheets (within the same worksheet.
I have tried pasting the macro code in the master button, telling it to select the sub worksheet and then run the macro, but the marco runs itself on the master worksheet instead.
i want to create a save button in sheet 1, on clicking the same the data entered in the particluar cells of sheet 1 should get saved in sheet 2 in given format
This is probably really straight forward but cant see why it happens, the following macro works fine when called by a button created by the form toolbar but doesnt when called by a command button, get the runtime error 1004, "select method of range class failed"
I have read several articles saying using a command button as a toggle button can't be done but some articles have said it is possible using the state properties.
.State = msobuttondown .State = msobuttonup
Is there any way to combine this with the onaction property so that when you press the button, it stays down and activates a macro then when you press it again it pops back up and activates another macro.
I have a monthly log that I need to keep to track expenses and customers visited. The log is segmented into 12 parts corresponding with each month.
I need to be able to add multiple lines via an input box while maintaining the formulas and formatting of the 2 rows directly above the forms command button (because both lines are filled with a different color) but not the contents?
There will be 12 command buttons in all and the new rows should be added at the bottom (directly above where the button is)
I found this and it works to some extent.
Sub FromFormsCommandBar2() Dim Btn As Button with ActiveSheet Set Btn = .Buttons(application.caller) btn.topleftcell.entirerow.insert end with End Sub
I want to catch the click event on "Increase Indent" commandbar button.
I have this reference- http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...ffice.10).aspx
But not able to execute properly:
Till now I have generated below Class Module "clsCBEvents" Public WithEvents colCBars As Office.CommandBars Public WithEvents cmdDecreseEndent As Office.CommandBarButton
Private Sub cmdDecreseEndent_Click(ByVal Ctrl As Office.CommandBarButton, CancelDefault As Boolean)
I got a problem though with specificying a 2d array. I basically want to click the "command button" and display one collum with names and the one next to it with results. The only problem is trying to get vba to display this on the work sheet.
I have a command button that upon its click I would like to delete a specific row. I am using a vlookup which is giving me the row of the number I would like to delete. How do i go about deleting out this row?
this is also a radiobutton within the row that I would like to delete out as well. It is not named but it linked to column B within the row that I will be deleting.
I have a user form with combo boxes. The user selects items from the combo box and when they click the command button the selection is written to the spreadsheet. Each time the button is clicked it adds an item to the sheet making a list of items. I am trying to assign a number to each item when the command button is clicked so I have numbered list. Here is my code so far:
Private Sub cmdbtnAdd_Click()
Dim RowCount As String
'Writes user inputs to Active Worksheet when Add Item Button is clicked.
RowCount = Worksheets("Sheet1").Range
("A1").CurrentRegion.Rows.Count
With Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("A1")
.Offset(RowCount, 0).Value = ' This is where I have been trying to code in the numbering
I have a simple command button in my worksheet that will insert a blank row and copy formatting, but not the formulas. How do I adjust the code so that the formulas are copied to the new blank row? This is currently what I have:
Private Sub CommandButton2_Click() Sheets("WAWF Track").Range("A9").Select ActiveCell.EntireRow.Insert Shift:=x1Down End Sub
I found this code for a button, so I can collapse and expand a set number of rows within that sheet. It works exactly the way i want it to, however, now I have a second sheet in my workbook, and I used the same button. Problem here is that when I activate the button, it opens the same rows in EVERY sheet in the workbook. "For each ws in Worksheets" so my question is what is the term for it to only work on a certain worksheet?
Code: Private Sub ToggleButton1_Change()Application.ScreenUpdating = False Dim ws As Worksheet With ToggleButton1 If ToggleButton1.Value = True Then For Each ws In Worksheets
[Code] ........
Other questions is about the ability to send an MS Outlook email from inside of excel.
I've been trying to find something that does the following:
Click button, Form pops up, has drop downs to select recipient, has field for subject, has field for message body, sends email.
how to put together a macro for a command button that deletes rows with certain text in a docyment - which worked fine a week or so ago - but now the macro will not work.
I made changes to the document - but made sure i also made changes to the code.
How can I return name of a command button on click? I want to create some sort buttons on a sheet I will use regularly to speed things up. I thought if I could call each sort button by the column letter the button sits in I can use this in a single sub for all buttons
e.g the button sitting in column A is called "A". when i click the button, it returns it's name to a variable which I can then use to sort column A. I know I could create a seperate routine for each button but I was just trying to think of something neater.
In one spreadsheet, I want to have a command button that will hide all rows where the date column (column A) shows a date older than one week from today. When this button is clicked again, all rows will unhide again. Preferably the Command button title would change to reflect whether it is on the hide or show cycle (for example "Click to Hide all older than one week" and then "Click to Show all events") .
Is it possible that when you press a command button, that the first thing it does is to execute the code assigned to another command button (IE in another sub).
Private Sub cmdCalculate_Click() With Application .Calculation = xlAutomatic .MaxChange = 0.001 End With ActiveWorkbook.PrecisionAsDisplayed = False End Sub Is there a way to disable the F9 key and make the user press this Command Button instead? Right now this does not work.
If Sheet1.Range("A34:A94") = "HIDE" Then For Each cell In Range("A27:A94") If UCase(cell.Value) = "HIDE" Then cell.EntireRow.Hidden = True End If End Sub
I have a long complicated macro that processes a ton of data and gives the output in a new sheet. I then want to create new buttons (or some sort of user clickable triggers) on this new sheet that runs another macro.
I have got the actual adding of buttons in the sheet working, but I can't find a way to automatically assign macros to newly generated buttons during runtime. Is this even possible (or are there any clever tricks I could use to get around this?)
