VBA Code For Sorting Left To Right

I am wondering if a block of code can be used rather than having to enter line by line as the following code is below? Also if the select is necessary?

I need to write some code that will write a sum formula and include all the cells to the left of the active cell, however this range is variable. I suspect it would be something like:
ActiveCell.FormulaR1C1 = "=SUM(xlLeft)"
but this just enters the formula "SUM(xlLeft)".

I am trying to use the Left function in my VBA code but continue to receive run time error 1004 - Method 'range' of object '_global' failed. Not sure if the error originates for code being written incorrectly or if the left function is not available in VBA. I am basically trying to take the first 9-characters for each cell in column K and copy the values to column G.

I have a worksheet in excel that I have hidden columns from AA right to the end. Which gives the user a nice worksheet with everything to the right of AA hidden in blue. What I would like to do is now centre the worksheet in the screen and have the same hidden blue effect to the Right of the worksheet in this blue.

I have a column of over 1000 cells with context in it. Each cell as a keyword in parathesis associated with the context. Therefore, different context are associated with the same keyword. However, the cells with the same keywords are spread out all over the 1000 cells.
Example:
cell1: anti-lock brake system (abs)
cell2: baromic pressure (Baro)
cell3: anti brake systematic (abs)
...
Basic solution:
I need to create a vba code that would look through the 1000 cells for a specific keyword and copy all the cells having that keyword in parathesis into another spreadsheet or column, so I can look through them easily. so if i look for (abs) it will give me:
cell1: anti-lock brake system (abs)
cell3: anti brake systematic (abs)
...
Ultimate solution:
The VBA code would be "smart" enough to copy all 1000 cells in keywords order. It would give me all possibilities:
cell1: anti-lock brake system (abs)
cell3: anti brake systematic (abs)
cell2: baromic pressure(Baro)
...

Im trying to sort items in two list boxes on a userform. I found some customizable sorting code online here:

But I'm not having any success with it.
I copied the 'Sub SortListBox' code and added it to the bottom of the Code for the Userform.
I then added the following lines to the Userform Initialize procedure:
Run "SortListBox", lbUnitList, 0, 1, 1
Run "SortListBox", lbPOList, 0, 2, 1
This should Sort lbUnitList Alphabetically by Column 1, and sort lbPOList Numerically by Column 1.
However as soon as I add those lines to the Initialize procedure it prevents the userform from opening. No Error message is displayed, it just won't load.
I have attached my workbook. The Userform is called ActiveEquipment.

I have a 2010 excel sheet containing 14 columns and 45082 rows in total. I am quite illiterate when it comes to writing macros but I know that what I need can be achieved with a set of codes.

I need to create a table with the top 14 'ReNo' for each code listed in columns F1-R1. These need to be in chronological order. Also if the code is part of the latest date then that first ReNo. needs to be ignored (since it will not have completed its cycle).
getting to the formula I have but I can't get it to sort in these ways, so as it is its not working right.

how I would add in code to sort the worksheets from A-Z. Also, Ideally, I would like to hide the template sheet that the new records are copied from. Is it possible to add code that would unhide the resulting worksheet once it is copied and renamed? I am learning loads from this forum, so thank you once again. I am having trouble filling a formulae series to the left on one spreadsheet, the fomulae being references to another sheet.
For example, I have two sheets 'Mtce Options' and 'Base Case'. In 'Mtce Options' I have the following formulae
A B C
1='Base Case'!A15='Base Case'!D15='Base Case'!G15
I want to fill to the left, incrementing the column references by a factor of 2 each time, eg. next two should be ='Base Case'!J15 and ='Base Case'!M15.
However, if I autofill to the left by highlighting A1, B1 and C1 or just B1 and C1 all I get is an inappropriate reference such as ='Base Case'!D15 or ='Base Case'!F15, respectively, in D15.

I have an auto generated report that is exported into .csv, my dilemma is that it sorts both the account code and the date in the same column, like this:
9884A B Gerrish Ltd œ 577.270577.270
30/09/201231/10/20121865518655277.010277.01MAL/553260
30/09/201231/10/20121884218842264.260264.26MAL/553259
30/11/201231/12/2012195541955436036MEL/549200
so "9884" and "30/09/2012" are in the same column.
Some how i need to turn this information to say the below three invoices are for account 9884, into more of a usuable data like:
9884 A B Gerrish Ltd 30/09/2012 etc etc.
Obviously through out the document this repeats for each account, upto some 1000 accounts.

I have a column that is giving unwanted value . dont know the reason as that excel file has been created by some other guy and I just started working on it .
My Question is how to move to 2 cells left(A for example) from from that unwanted value column. and check if
A is equal to cell above it , means B Cell(Row above A but same column).
As my excel file is totally based on Forms, Macros, I am not quite familiar with macros.
Is there any way to put if condition in one cell (column) and drag it all the way down which should work for all the values in these 3 column.
And also if A=B then I want to make that unwanted value cell="".

I've developed a little software using Excel Macros & VB. To prevent people from accesing the code I protected the code blocking it from visualization. It seems not enough as an acquaintance of a friend cracked it in 25 minutes. Or so he says. So I'd like to know if there is a better way to protect the font code.

I have a set of data in an Excel 2007 spreadsheet and want to move it to Sheet2. I move all that I need except for one column which needs some work done to it and I keep receiving errors. Sheet1 Column 12 is comprised of six digits, space, six digits, space, and four more digits. What I need is the first twelve (12) digits, less the space, moved to column1 on Sheet2.
The code I am attaching does the following:
The year 2009 to Sheet2 Column2
Column6 + Column7 to Sheet2 Column3
Column8 + Column9 to Sheet2 Column4
Column6 + Column7 + Column8 + Column9 to Sheet2 Column5.

I have a cell and I only want to look at the word after the first 4 characters of every cell. I do not know the word size so right(...) didn't work for me, I just know the first 4 characters I do not need and the word follows.

I have a table with a range of numbers inputted as text (ie. 200-400, 300-500, 65-90, etc.) that I am extracting. I made a formula that works for pulling out numbers if they are in the triple digit range but don't want to rejig if they go down to double-digits, or up to quad. (too tedious to change the right and left count function midway if data suddenly changes)
The values that I am extracting are separated by -'s and when i use the formula below i end up with negative numbers if one of the pairs is less than 3 digits (ie. 2)
=VALUE(RIGHT('NAIC Spread 2007'!D11,3))
how can i work in a Len function to deal with this issue?

i have this issue, i named column J. now it says instead of using Social Security numbers as a unique identifier, they are considering using an ID of the first 3 letters of the last name (L Name) followed by the first letter of the first name (F Name). If the last name is fewer than 3 characters, the letter Z replaces each missing character.

I need a formula that can remove all characters to the right of "]" for example, if a1 = abcdefg]1234, I want b1 to return the value: 1234. I tried =RIGHT(a1,FIND("]",a1)-1), but that didn't really work. It returned: fg]1234
