I have a tab called 'Tab1' in which I have column called 'Col1' and 'Col2'.
I have another tab called 'Tab 2' with columns 'ColA' and 'ColB'. When I enter a text in Col1(Tab1) I would like that text to be compared to data in 'ColA' from Tab 2 and when match found then get the corresponding value from ColB and autopopulate it in Col2 of Tab1.
I have a spreadsheet where I keep track of sales that I make in ebay. The spreadsheet has the following columns: Name, Product, Prod Cost, Shipping Cost, Payment Received, Total. I have made a list way off the the right of the spreadsheet with all the products that I sell, so in the "Product" column I can use a pulldown menu and choose the item from the list. However, I was wondering if I could create it in such a way that when I chose the item from the list, it would automatically put the cost in the "Product Cost" field. Is this possible?
I have used the archive and Mr Excel and cobbled together a code which does what I want - that is to use a remote cell entry to update a specific page field cell in 4 pivot tables. I then use another remote entry to do the same to two secondary Page Field Cells in 2 of the 4 pivot tables.
However, if my remote cell has a number in it that IS NOT in the the pivot Page Field List then rather than breaking the code it simply overwrites (and therefore changes the value in the pivot table Page Field List) - disaster!! My code is
Range("B15").Activate Dim mycell As Integer mycell = Range("b15").Value Sheets("Dissection Table").Select ActiveSheet.PivotTables("PivotTable21").PivotFields("Serial Number").CurrentPage = mycell ActiveSheet.PivotTables("PivotTable22").PivotFields("Serial Number").CurrentPage = mycell ActiveSheet.PivotTables("PivotTable23").PivotFields("Serial Number").CurrentPage = mycell ActiveSheet.PivotTables("PivotTable24").PivotFields("Serial Number").CurrentPage = mycell Application.Run "'KPI Mastercopy Data.xls'!testing" End Sub
I have a dropdown list selection on the form for types of machines. The list of machines, their sizes and related noise level are in a chart on worksheet 2 and I'd like to automate the form so that when the machine is selected, the related noise level auto populates.
The dropdown box has been put in the form using the data validation function.
I need a simple macro to use for conditional autofill of cells below the active cell (to the end of the sheet) with the text that is being entered in the active cell.
DESCRIPTION: I have two columns of data, the first (call it Col1), has a word number which is unique to each specific word in a foreign language, every cell in this column has a number in it from 1 to 30000. Each number reoccurs many times in cells over the length of this column.
The other column (call it Col2) is blank. As I type words in english in each cell of this column, I need the macro to autofill the text that I have just entered, into every cell in Col2 where it's Col1 number is a match with the Col1 number where I am typing.
For example, in one row, Col1 has the number "21" and I type in Col2 the word "run". I need the macro to find every row where the number 21 is found in Col1 and automatically enter "run" into Col2 at that location.
The macro must only autofill cells which have no data in them. Preferably from that cell down, although if that is not possible, all cells would work seeing we are only replacing blank cells with data.
I have two or more fields of data, where parts of them are auto populated based on inputs from elsewhere. That part i have working fine, however the problem arises in taking that information and displaying it as a Bill of Materials list on another tab in my excel file. I want to take the information, and only display it in the BOM tab if that piece of information is being used (ie item count field not being 0). I know how to do that part in a rather simple format, however i'd prefer to make it so that when i have the list, and a certain item isn't used then its not included in the BOM, and an empty space is not left behind. I would prefer this to be all be done automatically by a formula if possible instead of just having to resort to sorting the table every time the tool is being used.
Is this even possible in excel, A quick example doc is attached, shows 2 example fields. i'd like to take the information from those 2 fields. and somehow create a single list, with a single heading along the top, with all row containing a 0 "Unit Count" to be omitted entirely from the list, and not have a blank space where the item should be. Keep in mind these fields may be greater than 2, and may not be position one after the other in a strait down line.
I've tried my best to describe my dilema. I import data in an SQL query from a mainframe. This data shows a job number, site address, job number and a length. Multiple lengths on the same site appear as separate entries. I use a pivot table to calculate a total length and also formulas to determine whether a site is in an East or West area. I then need to then be able to copy the 'East' jobs to an 'East' worksheet and the 'West' jobs to the 'West' worksheet. But, I only want a site to appear once with the total length.
I have a macro that imports a report. If the Charge Type in column A is BTOREPLX, I need to prefill the field next to it in column B with the text "REPLX", e.g. "REPLXCDROM". I've attached an example of the report.
In building my pivot table my data that I want to show in the column area is showing up as rows stacked on top of each other. In the column section I'm trying to show Total Budgeted Amount next to Total Actual Amount but on the layout it's showing the two stacked on top of each other is there some kind of hidden key that I'm missing?
I have a set of 4 multiple choice answers B,C,D,E column "F" lists a # 1-4 which lets you know which column letter (b,c,d,e) the correct answer is in. I want to set up a formula that will copy the contents of the correct answer (based on that # identifier) and copy it into column "A" which is currently blank.
I have a simple formula ='info page'!b2&'info page'!b5 in places that on my sheet adds a company prefix to a item number, prefix in b2 and item in b5, we have a client that we cant use prefixes but now when I leave the field blank its giving a zero and thats not good either. I'm pretty sure an IFERROR or something will work but can get the syntax right.
A_________ B Frank Sinatra C Sammy Davis D Dean Martin E Joey Bishop F 3
I want to put "D"'s value 'Dean Martin' in column A - i know it belongs in A because the "3" in column F indicates its the 3rd answer listed i.e Dean Martin. This format would be the same where there are 4 possible answers on the column to the right dictates which answer is correct.
So im setting up a big list of stuff, and basically i have multiple sheets.
One of them is a "master sheet" so to speak, and the rest are sub-sets of data.
Is it possible to have the Master sheet updated automatically every time data is entered on one of the sub sheets?
Basically its an alphabetical list of names, and my sheets are "Master sheet" "sheet A, Sheet B" etc .... so If I enter a name on Sheet B, or format the cells on sheet B, is it possible to have that automatically copied to the master sheet?
its becoming a pain to have to enter the same name on two sheets manually.
Say I have text in Column A and as soon as I input that data, I want it then copied into another column (J). What kind of formula and I looking at to do this in Column J to repliace column A automatically?
1. I have got a master sheet (Headers: First Name, Last Name, DOB, Age, Actioned Date, Query). 2. There are around 20 workbooks with the same headers. 3. All Individual workbooks are updated everyday. 4. Next day morning I need to copy paste all the values from each workbook to master sheet. 5. Thought of linking the workbooks. However, that replaces all.
6. Here is the example senario. a. Each workbook is updated everyday. b. Next day morning i need to copy paste all the data into master sheet with the old data.
