Get Value Of Hidden Element From A Form That Is On Remote Website?

My code should get the value of a hidden element from a form that is on a remote website. Then it should display that element's value on my excel worksheet.
One or the other of the 2 lines between the commented out lines should work. Instead the code runs until within a minute after the page has finished loading, and then stops completely without getting the hidden element's value.

Doing all 47 pages at once may cause their site to block your IP. Though usually only temporarily - a few minutes to a few days. You could do it in sessions by changing "For i = 1 To 47" to the appropriate page numbers. After each session be sure to rename the "Stats" sheet as the code starts by deleting and re-creating it. After all sessions combine the various "Stat" sheets.
Doing all 47 at once will take a few minutes to complete and you won't see anything happening. The cursor will only spin occasionally. You wil get "Query complete" when it finishes.

How would you search multiple hidden sheets named JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP OCT NOV DEC Using a textbox to return a value to find on these multiple hidden sheets. The code must find Orange, Oranges Orange BLossom by typing in "Ora".
It then moves to the first value found on the first worsheet found and mekes it the active cell, asks with a msg box to find the next value and so on. This code works but it only finds the value on the sheet THAT userform was designed for in the sheet code page:

I have a userform which puts information in a main sheet, however there are 6 other sheets which the user may need to use to give detail on aspects of their main. so on my main form I have 6 buttons which call other user forms and hide the one for the main. However there are 3 mains as their are three different groups. So when done with the secondary user form and the user chooses to close the form I would like it to check to see if for instance frmInput1, frmInput2, or frmInput3 are open and just hidden. If it finds one that was open and hidden bring it back to view.

I have Excel Sheet that open with user name and password.
Like if it's open my Admin - he can view all Sheets
If open by any user - it opens only users sheet.
Problem is once file is saved by any users, all hidden files get unhidden and Admin Sheet is open.
Requirement: if User1 saves file other sheets should not get unhidden.

I am hoping someone with excel experience can be of help to me with an unusual request for excel.
Assume cell A1 = 2, B1 = 3 and i wish the sum of this (5) to appear in cell C1. Very straight forward so far, however i wish the result to appear in C1 when i left click on a cell other than C1, say for example D7.
I can't use any macros for this.

I remoted most of my number crunching stuff to a dll.
It work fine except for a few strange things that I observed like from time to time a strange message "Error in loading DLL" even though everything works fine. This message appears only when entering the main formula in the formula, and is no problem at all in usual work.
When I investigated, I noticed in the "windows task manager" that one instance of excel remains open even after I have closed excel. This phantom excel process is maybe related to the other problem I explained above.
Instead of calling a VBA function, it creates a VB6 object from this dll and uses the methods of this object. In this way I have remoted the number crunching functionality.
The main parameter passe in this process is a reference to the original workbook. I need it because the number crunching functions need to read data from the workbook.
I made it sure to terminate the life of the object properly on both sides by ad hoc obj=Nothing statements.
Still I think that the "garbage collection" or the "terminating" is the cause of the problem.

I've just discovered that if you include the line: Application.IgnoreRemoteRequests = False. in a Workbook_BeforeClose event, and then close the workbook using ActiveWorkbook.Close
the
Application.IgnoreRemoteRequests = False
line is itself ignored! Code attached - the only workaround I can come up with is also included (to re-enable IgnoreRemoteRequests BEFORE the workbook is closed programmatically) - can anyone confirm this, or break it, or come up with a better explanation or workaround?

i have an excel file with some vba code that includes some functions of a third party add-in also. It works fine when i open this file on the host machine. (Assuming host machine is where the Excel File is placed) But when i try to open the same file from some other computer(remotely/by sharing folder), the add-in malfunctions because of one reason that it considers the remote machine to be its host. Is it possible to set a permanent host machine for that any add-in. Or is it possible for that add-in / Excel file to do its calculations and updation of links on the host machine where it is placed.

I send out multiple versions of the same sheet every month. I want to be able to have a script run every time the spreadsheet is opened to send an electronic log directly to a text file on my machine (or something similar)
Is this possible or some sort of a pipe dream?
It would be used for me to monitor usage of the sheet, and i'd require only the same of the spreadsheet (which is always unique), the date/time and possibly the computer name / username? (not really needed)

I have an excel workbook that lists the number of mailboxes on several exchange servers. Because this info is put in manually by several people throughout the day there is a chance for mistakes. I can use remote desktop to get into these servers and check all these but when you have over a hundred (Enterprise Level) of these different mailbox stores to check, it takes a while and just isn't fun. I have a friend who made a vbscript file that can check them all but I don't have that code but now I know that it is possible...well with vbscript anyhow.
is it possible for excel to access a remote computer? and how would this be done? If needed to we can be already remoted into it I just need help with the Syntax of how to then access it via some VBA.

I have CDO set up on in an excel workbook contained on our network. We have been using the following code for well over a year. It works flawlessly on 12 of our 13 computers. I can send mail through Excel using the following code on my computer. But not on a particular computer. The user at that particular computer can't send mail through the CDO code from her computer but can from other computers.
This problem is definitely isolated to a computer. I had tech support un-install office, use a cleaning tool, then re-install office. The problem persists. Is there a particular setting on this computer that needs to be set that I am unaware of?

I've been trying to send emails through an SMTP server in various ways. I've been able to send email using CDO going directly through an SMTP server on my same local network (not requiring a username and password). But now I am trying to send email from my home with the SMTP server I am using that is hosted by some commercial company. I used the code below, which is sponsored by Paul Sadowski:

I worked with an Ozgrid macro until it was what I wanted using files on my local PC. I then edited the macro to get data from a closed workbook on a remote server. I now have a Run-time error '1004'
Method ' Range' of object'_Worksheet' failed and the debugger takes me to this line of code.
With Sheet1.Range(AreaAddress)
The only thing I have changed up to this point in the macro, is the address of the file on the remote server.
I am at a loss with this now. Am I trying to do the impossible? ....

I am trying to format all cells on all sheets (hidden or otherwise) as "Locked" so when the sheets are protected the user can't see the formulas. This macro individually selects every sheet in the book and applys the formatting. Is there a way to modify this code to accomplish the same thing without having it actually select every sheet? The only reason it is an issue is that after running the macro you end up on the last sheet in the book.

I have created a macro that creates a powerpoint from excel in office 2010. I have followed all the required steps, like adding object library and all. but still many times the PowerPoint crashes at slide7, 8 or 9 and have to restart. I generally get the above given error.

I'm trying to do, I already have a macro that takes certain cells in sheets in a workbook and copies to them to individual workbooks that are open.
So for example, I have a workbook with sheets A, B, and C.
and then I have a macro that'll copy sheet A to an open workbook D and B to an open workbook E, and so on.
Problems I'm running into = if the workbook isn't open, it crashes, I'd like to have an if then statement where if workbook is not open, it stops?
Additionally, I'd like a for statement because there will be 10 or more sheets in total, so would be nice to have a for statement that changes the variables so For i = 1 to 10 where 1 would be D and 2 would be E and so on so it automatically changes the workbook names as necessary.

As you can see the letters repeat, and the dates are in order. Dates may repeat or be skipped.
I want to know how I retrieve the last date in the list that corresponds to a certain letter. For example, the last date that corresponds to "A" is 10-Jun-12. Similarly for "B", it is 11-Jun-12.
VLOOKUP will retrieve the first day.
In this case corresponding to "A":
=VLOOKUP("A",A2:B12,2,FALSE)
Is there any way I can retrieve the last day with a formula?

My main report (Report 1) has part number, serial number, and work order information, among other things I need. Report 2 contains this information as well, but also has a work order item number, which is needed in Report 1. Otherwise, Report 2 has nothing else of interest.
What functions will allow me to get the item number information I want from Report 2 into Report 1?
I have spent a lot of time trying various combinations of VLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, IF, etc with no luck. There is probably a very simple (I hope!) thing that I am overlooking.

I have the need to create a workbook that will return values based on the entering of an abbreviation. I will use the chemical elements as an example, I wish to have a column formatted so that if 'Au' is entered the cell populates with 'Gold' or if 'Pb' is entered then the cell is populated with 'Lead'
So in my case I have all the abbreviations in one column and all the full descriptions in another (approx 500 different codes/description)

I am trying to parse a section of html into excel but I don't know how to parse into a new row with each pattern rotation. I can do this both in Word and notepad++, but I can't find the same function of replace-with-line-break in excel's find-and-replace box.

I have had a look around and not sure what would be a good way to tackle this. RegEx (how to do it in excel macro)? HTML tags parsing (but these are not strictly tags)? I have a custom range I'll be copying from one sheet (a single entry registration form) that I'm adding to another (an "all entries" sheet) with a button assigned to a macro.

I then loop through the range, copying the cell from Sheet1 to Sheet2.

All works perfect, but I need to manipulate the data a little. If B3 from Sheet1 equals a certain string, I want to manipulate the data From Sheet1 B6 & B7 to paste into Sheet2 Column 1, otherwise paste B3 into Sheet2 Column1.
Again, my loop and everything works if I put B3 into Column1, B6 into Column2, and B7 into Column3, but it doesn't play well with the reporting I want to do later from this sheet.

if B3 <> "NEW TEAM" then put B3 (Joe Smith on Sparkles) into the new sheet column1
if B3 = "NEW TEAM" then put "B6 on B7" (Jane Doe on Fluffy) into the new sheet in column1 (where B6 and B7 are the strings, obviously).
I haven't figured out how, in my loop, to access the data in (myCell + 1) and (myCell + 2) while I'm on the first cell (myCell). I could do it by jumping back to the Sheet1("B6") and Sheet1("B7") but I'm trying to write reusable code, and this range might change, so I'm trying to be a little more flexible than hard coding in more cells.

I have 9 named ranges on worksheet Sheet1. I want to print every combination of every non-singular range on worksheet Sheet2. Below is a simplified version of the scenario.
There are three named ranges: Letters, Colors, Animals. Say the below are the entries for each range.
Letters = {A, B, C}
Colors = {Red, Blue}
Animals = {Dog}I want to print every combination of Letters and Colors but exclude Animals since it only has 1 entry.
Therefore my result would look something like this:
A Red
B Red
C Red
A Blue
B Blue
C Blue
My thought is to make a multidimensional array GrandArray where GrandArray(1) = Letters and GrandArray(2) = Colors, then recursively go back through every combination and print to Sheet 2. I can set up GrandArray, but stepping through each element is creating mismatch errors.
I'm trying to avoid For loops since my real data has 9 ranges which may or may not be included in the final print.
