Disable Selection In Listbox On Selection Of Item

I am working on a project where user has to select an item from a listbox, however there is a condition that if user select an item, other items of listbox should be disabled so that he/she can not select any other item.

Is there any way to do that as I tried

VB : Listbox.enabled = False
and
VB : Listbox.locket = True

in Listbox - Click/Change but no desirable results got.

Update Listbox Item Selected Within Sheet?

I have a userform that search for a value in column A, it displays the results in the listbox. Example: Search for value "111" and it brings me back the following results back in the listbox "111 David 35". So this means 3 columns matching data is returned.

I want the following to happen if I double click on the item in the listbox it needs to update the value selected in the worksheet eg. strikethrough the row on the sheet to show item has been selected/done.

I have Listbox on my User Form with 10 items say "A", "B","C", and so on. I wnt User to select any one item or any two or three items or even all items. Whatever user selects will be transferred in one cell only like "a","C". Is it possible to do this with listbox ?

Filter Sheet Based On Checkbox & Listbox Selection

I have a spreadsheet in Excel, there are 13 columns of information being used. 3 of the columns have just data I typed in (model name, item code, original price) the other 10 have formulas (these formulas are price discounts that will be taken off of the original price. 9 of them also have a check box on the top of the column so if the the checkbox is selected, the formula will give the customer the amount discounted off the original price(keep in mind that not all of the columns can be used together, for example, on product "A" maybe only 3 of the boxes can be used whereas on another product maybe 5 can be used). I made a multiple listbox, so that if a customer selects a product or multiple products and clicks the ok button, the sheet will only show the specific products they selected. My problem is that when I press the "OK" button nothing happens. I don't know how to link all of this together.

I'm using two Listboxes (Form Control) with multiple selection options namely Listbox 1 (Brand) & Listbox 2 (Models). I want listbox 2 input range to be depended on selection made on Listbox 1 (Brand). For example, if user selects Sony then box2 should show only Sony's models and if user selects Sony & LG, box2 should show models for both Sony & LG.

I have this script (below, Krishnakumar orignally provided this script).

I'm trying to edit it to add cell values from cells C16 and E16 along with the worksheet name it displays in listbox2. So lets say worksheet "rollover" is the sheet being displayed in the listbox2.

I would like for it to look something like this:

Populate 2nd Listbox With 1st Listbox Selection

I have the following sheet which functions as a table to store values for files that have been created using the application which this table is in. In this app., I have a form with 2 listboxes. When the form loads, I have the first listbox list values which each of these files are listed under (i.e. - "sub-directories"). With a selection of one of the list values and clicking of a button, I want the second list box to list the values of cells listed in a range directly below where the selected value in the first listbox came from.

I'd prefer, in the first listbox, to have only the values of the ranges that have a value in them in the listbox. However, this would cause my listbox.selected(array) not function properly. But since my current offsets (in the second sub) do not seem to be working anyway, maybe I am going about this totally wrong.

Scrolling Through Listbox Item's With Buttons

within the userform contacts, when mouse-over the image two buttons are shown.

I want when one of these buttons are it displays the next image. the names of all images for the contact are loaded in userform1 listbox. also change the name of the label1.caption.

The part im having trouble with is knowing where the current picture name is loacated within the listbox.

on a side note, if insted of using a picture object i use a activex picture viewer thing. Can i play movies within the same object as being used for the pictures.

When a new listbox is clicked I'd like to remove the highlighting or selection from the last one.

I thought this would do it

".Selected(x)= true" where x would be that listbox's list index. But no.

Is there another way?

Highlight 1st Listbox Item After Tab To Field

I have created a form, with a textbox and a listbox, that loads when the workbook opens.

As the listbox is the 2nd field on the form, I'd like for the 1st item in the listbox to be highlighted once the user tabs to this field from the textbox field, in the event that the 1st item is actually the item the user wants to select. Currently, once you tab to the listbox field, the listbox item has a dotted line around it (forgive my not knowing the correct term to use for this; I would guess the item has focus at this point, it's just not selected), but the item is not actually highlighted. If I use the arrow keys to scroll up or down, then the first item can ultimately actually be highlighted.

I've search this message board, but was unable to come up with a solution. I assume I must not have been using the best search terms.

Currently (a part of) the form's code is:

I'm certain this must be simple, but I haven't been able to find a solution. What code would I need to add or change, and where?

Force Display Of Item In ListBox

I have a worksheet and for data validation, i do have a dropdown. This is working fine.

I am now trying to create a userform. And I feel for data integrity, I should be using a listbox on the form as well.

I have found examples of different ways to load the list, so I don't think this part will be an issue. But what I cannot find, is if the worksheet row currently has a value (say it is the third item on the list), how do I show THAT on my form?

Example, say we have a list of 10 cities.
Orlando
Tampa
San Francisco
London
Athens
Paris
Chicago
Cairo
Seattle
Atlanta

My wordsheet has the rows populated with the cutomers favorite city to visit.
For John Doe (row3) in column 5 is the city "San Francisco"

When I use my nav keys, how would I "stuff" San Francicso in to the display and still have it able to select a different city?

I think this should be simple to answer. I have a userform that has multiple listboxes on it. When the user makes a selection in Listbox1 it highlights the item selected then when the user makes a selection in Listbox2 it highlights that next item and the selection in listbox1 remains highlighted. What I want is to deselect the selection in Listbox1 when Listbox2 is selected. I have tried things like below:

I have a budget document that has a selection (Named Range with list items in a drop down) Approved, Rejected, Awaiting Approval or Blank. What I would like to do is set a process that could approve all Awaiting Approval. My thought was to create another choice box at the top that allowed the user to choose approve all awaiting and it would select every matching item that was Awaiting Approval and change it to Approved. At the same time I would like it to set the date and time, this could just copy what I put in an associated field or be real time.

Listbox Selected Item Not Getting Properly Highlighted

It seems that when reloading a listbox (in my case in ppt, but triggered from vba in excel) the ppt application (office 2010) was not highlighting the selected row in the listbox, and was infact also losing the selected row information when the item lost focus.

indication in excel that new data is to be displayed
triggers macro in ppt to fetch data and update:-
1. select the userform and listbox
2. fetch the data from excel worksheet range into a local array
3. save locally the current selected index in the listbox
4. reload the data into the listbox and adjust column widths
5. relocate the old selected item, and set the new selected index

Summary of key Code lines which did not work:

So in summary, if you get problems with listbox selected items not being highlighted, double check you are not re-defining column widths after loading the data into the list.....
