I need to protect the whole sheet except for a small area where data can be entered and if possible make it so that the work sheet can be sorted. I have attached an example sheet.

I just converted from Excel 2003 to 2007 and print previewed a worksheet and find a tiny image with a small portion of the print area. When I look at the sheet in page break preview mode, I see the 8.5 x 11 sheet broken up into approx 77 smaller sheets. When I try to move the page breaks to include the whole sheet it states the change cannot be made as it will result in an image less than 10%. I have attached two images - the first shows the print preview I get, and the second show the multiple pages when I view in page break.

I have Worksheet 1, with columns A to E. I would like a row to be copied to Worksheet 2, as soon as cell F in Worksheet 1 is populated. Also the row to be deleted from Worksheet 1.
So, as soon as F1 in worksheet 1 is populated and enter button pressed, row A1:F1 will be copied to the next empty row in worksheet 2, while being deleted from worksheet 1. So eventually all rows in worksheet 1 will be deleted and rows in worksheet 2 will be populated.

I need to create a macro to where once a cell has had a formula or data inputed that it locks afterwards and cannot be edited without unportecting the sheet or not at all. The problem is I have no idea how to program in VBA. I can get there and select the worksheet but after that I am stumped. How would I enter the macro and what should the macro look like?

i want to searh from data sheet by writing a formule to black area.
We will write id number to yellow area.
When we write value to yellow area, the formule in black are will look column of " d ".
If it is " machinery" or " with lifting point " , the formule will search only according to id number.
If it is " lifting gear ", the formule will search according to id number and capacity simultaneously. And the value will be come up in black area from column of "a".
If there is no id number in data sheet, " no certificate no" will come up im black area.

Download the attachment and have a look.
I want there to ALWAYS be 5 FREE/EMPTY rows to be able to enter data into them I also want the black area around the outside to ALWAYS be a further 15 rows in height below that.
Sheet 1 = Simple Example
Sheet 2 = A much larger example
Sheet 3 = Erroneously added data should still extend the sheet by 5 rows each time.

I have a sheet that is password protected. I have this code attached to a command button. It will unlock the worksheet, autofilter it, print it, unfilter it, and password protect the sheet again. However it is protecting it without a password. I need to have it protected with the password so that someone will not be able to just go to tools to unprotect the sheet.
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
ActiveSheet.Unprotect "rainforest"
Columns("O:O").Select
Selection.AutoFilter
Selection.AutoFilter Field:=1, Criteria1:=">0", Operator:=xlAnd
ActiveWindow.SelectedSheets.PrintOut Copies:=1, Collate:=True
Selection.AutoFilter Field:=1
Selection.AutoFilter
ActiveSheet.Protect DrawingObjects:=True, Contents:=True, Scenarios:=True _
, AllowSorting:=True, AllowFiltering:=True
End Sub

I'm trying to make a excel template that will take a list of names, changes but generally around 100, and randomly separate them into 4 sets of 8 groups evenly.
This grouping would be repeated 4 times, but there are some conditions.
Firstly, the same person cannot be put into a group again with someone they have previously been grouped with.
Secondly, someone appearing in the first or last groups cannot appear in that group again.
I've been trying to do it via some complex cell formulas but they are quickly becoming overly complex and im not sure if it will actually work which has completely demotivated me. Ive not been looking at VBA but am now thinking its the right route. Ive been thinking of having a master list and then have an attribute of who people have been grouped with before during each of the groupings, and also what number group they were in and then checking against that or something, but im not sure if that is the most efficient solution.
I attached an example dataset : demo dataset.xlsx

I am trying to graph the following data in an area chart with line charts superimposed on the area chart. I have a lot of data (and a lot going on) so I'm trying to figure out the best way to show this in excel from a functional standpoing (i can't get this to work in excel!!) to also an asthetic standpoint (dont want it to look terrible or illegible). This is what I'm trying to chart:
1) Weather data (temperature) by region:
So one region, would be: Northwest
I would like the "area" (so a shaded region) to be the min/max of the temperature data for each month.
2) I would like to show the temperature for each year as a line graph on the chart - so you can see if a year falls in or out of the shaded region.
3) I would like to show a company's sales increases across the same months per year as separate line charts. I may choose to just show the biggest outlier year in the end... or to show 2006 (the latest data).
What I am trying to convery with the chart is that the company's sales is or is not tied to weather deviations. I have attached an excel file with the data. I haven't been able to use the area chart or get a two axis chart to work or get it to look even remotely professional.

We run a fairly small start-up company and I would'nt mind knowing if it was possible to have some kind of stock control system on 'worksheet1'. On 'worksheet2' have some kind of 'Till Style' GUI interface where you can input the products the customer purchased. And then maybe of 'Worksheet3' have a printable recipet which you can hand to the customer.
Of course the idea would be for what-ever is purshased via the 'Till-Style' GUI on 'worksheet2' to alter the stock QTY on 'worksheet1'.

I am using Excel 2010 and I have a password protected workbook with password protected sheets that uses several macros. Most of them, in order to run, have to un-protect the sheet and then re-protect it again. This has been accomplished easily enough by adding ActiveSheet.Unprotect Password:= "mypassword" and ActiveSheet.Protect Password:= "mypassword" to the appropriate places in the script. All of my macros, which do various things like sorting and moving data, deleting blank rows, displaying dialog boxes containing warning messages etc. run fine.
My problem is this: when I password protect the sheets manually, I have checked the following options in the "Protect Sheet" dialog box. Under "Allow users of this worksheet to" I have checked 1)Select unlocked cells and 2)Format cells. After entering my password and closing the dialog box my sheet is protected, but I can edit cells in the manner my allowances permit. However, once I run any of the macros that un-protect and re-protect the sheet, I remain able to select and edit unlocked cells (practically, for my purposes, this means that I can input data which will appear in the default font size and color of the sheet) but I cannot format cells (which, practically, for my purposes would allow me to occasionally change the font color and size of the data). Naturally, after running a macro, the other cell-formatting options are unavailable to me as well. Is there any way to get my manual selections to remain in place after running a macro that functions as mine do? Or is there any way to make my manual selections the default settings for a protected sheet?

One of my datasheets by necessity ends up as about 25,000 rows long, but only about 40 of those rows have data in. The rest of the rows are empty.
If a row has data in, there will be data in every column on that row, for example if row 2 was not empty, there would be data in A, B, C . . . and all the way to the last column without missing cells along the row.
I need to copy those 40 rows without blank rows in between. At the moment, I have a macro that deletes blank rows, but it takes hours to run.
This is the code that's being used at the moment:
Sub DeleteBlankARows()
Dim r As Long
For r = Cells(Rows.Count, 1).End(xlUp).Row To 1 Step -1
If Cells(r, 1) = "" Then Rows(r).Delete
Next r
End Sub

My user form has a line of code that protects the sheets and does not allow any changes and selection of cells. It worked great on my personla computer.
Running the file on another computer the code does not protect the sheet. The strange thing is that if I go the Tools>Protection> the options is set to Unprotect. That measn that the code actually has protected the sheet but I am still able to make chages. If I manually unprotect and again protect the sheet, it is protected till the time close the file and open it again.

Excel file 1 has:
Sheet 1: Account numbers and balances
Sheet 2: Mapping information detailing what account in file 1 is to go to a different account number in file 2.
Excel file 2 has:
Lots of sheets where information is to be keyed in.
This is a very manual process with lots of data entry to input into accounting forms I send to our head office. The "file 2" has sheet protection on all sheets so that formats, data, columns etc etc cannot be altered and only certain fields updated.
I think I have successfuly written my scripts to loop through the account values and map those to all spots in all sheets they are referenced to on the mapping document, however I am getting an error message that the "cell or chart you are trying to change is protected and therefore read-only".
Basically I look through the sheet and look for my mapping code, if that matches, I add the balance to the exisitng value of the cell, in the next column.
i.e. if B2 has the corresponding code I will add the balance to the current value of cell C2.
This is an extract of the code where I am looking up the sheet:
Dim ws As Worksheet
For Each ws In Sheets
If Left(ws.Name, 2) "OP" Then
Dim rg As Range
Dim cl As Range
Set rg = Range("A1:IV65536")
For Each cl In rg
If ActiveCell.Locked = False Then
If cl = kessanid Then
cl.Offset(0, 1).Value = acctvalue
End If
End If
Next cl
End If
Exit For
Next ws
It may be that because the sheet is protected as a whole nothing can be done but I was hoping that because I am going to the specific cell which allows input I should be able to do this.

I am using the following code to protect/unprotect a sheet in a tool that i am working on, which seems to work great. It unprotects the sheet runs the code inbetween the two liens of code and then protects the sheet again.
VB:
ActiveSheet.Unprotect Password = "mypassword"
ActiveSheet.Protect Password = "mypassword"
The issue I am having is if i want to go in and edit the sheet without running the code it will not let me. When I go in and type the password to unprotect it says it is invalid. I have typed it exactly how the code reads. I have even tried including the quotes but no luck.

1) I need to have code to protect the sheet that my user form is writing to. In other words, when the information from the user form is populated to the sheet, I want that sheet protected by a password that I set where I can unlock it, but no one else can.
2) I need to protect my VBA code with a password, I do not know how to do this, I have looked everywhere. I do however think this is something simple and I will kick myself once I find out where it is.

This is because I have a macro that updates some of the cells and there are some people (and only those) that should be able to access it quickly and easily. -> can't use VeryHidden or cell lock.
