Sends An Automated Email?

Sep 7, 2009

I have a spreadsheet that deals with expiration dates. The whole sheet is conditional formatted so that when the current date is within 3days of the date showing in A2 then that cell changes colors. Ok is it possible that a script can be written so that when the cell changes colors... (Someone is going to think I am silly asking this but) excel sends an automated Email?

Automated Email Using DATE

Jul 18, 2013

Making an excel program that will automatically Email 5 people with either the whole document, a link to the doc, or just an email using the cells to inform them on what needs to be checked. And I don't even know where to start.

There will be a spreadsheet with everyone's name going down in column A, and then in the row next to the name it'll have a date of when they were put on it. It'll then have another date of the time they need to have done certain things, like see the doctor or get a class done, so when the current date reaches the date in the column the cell that is the same date will turn red, and the document will be mailed to 5 of the higher ups to inform them they need to check on this Marine to see if he has accomplished whatever task has expired.

Ive been trying to research a lot of this on my own, but ran into problem where the current outlook version does not suppose the command DATE within an excel, so I need to make a database using multiple excel sheets using Visual Basic(or so I'm told now).

I have an excel sheet where automatically live data comes in.

When the cells reach a certain value the value in cell R1 becomes 1.

I want to make a macro in vba that sends me ONE email if the value becomes 1.

I tried :

Public Function MailS(mailtrigger As Double) As Double
If mailtrigger = 1 Then
Call makeandsendemail
Application.Run "makeandsendemail"
MailS = 1
Else
MailS = 1
End If

Creating A Macro To Send An Automated Email Through Lotus Notes

Oct 15, 2009

The following line of code is part of the great work that this forum did in creating a macro to send an automated email through Lotus Notes.

I have a small tweak that requires the Body of the message to exist on sheet other than the one where the macro is launched.

The originial code had:

Body1 = Replace(Join(Application.Transpose(Range([by9], [by18].End(3))), "@") & "@@Thank you,", "@", vbCrLf)

I tried:

Body1 = Replace(Join(Application.Transpose(Sheets("LookUp Sheet").Range([by9], [by18].End(3))), "@") & "@@Thank you,", "@", vbCrLf)

But the body of the email is not being copied.

Am I putting the calling the Sheets reference incorrectly?

The routine works perfectly if the body data comes from the sheet where the macro is launched?

Excel 2010 :: VBA Loop Code To Automatically Email Range Of Cells And Email Addresses

Sep 16, 2013

I am using Excel 2010. I have been given a task at work that can save my team a lot of time if I can solve the problem. Every month, we have a spreadsheet with about 5000 rows that we have to email. In each row, there is a range that we have to email to a specific email. For example, I would have to copy and paste Range A2-R2 in the body of the email, and then email it to whatever email is in cell S2. I would then continue this for the next 5000 lines, making it a possibility that i will be sending 5000 emails manually.

I have been trying to come up with a solution through VBA that would automatically send these emails. My goal is to automatically send the Range A2-R2 to outlook email, then cell S2 into the "To" email address box, and then automatically send it. So far, i have successfully been able to send one row, but cannot figure out how to loop it for the remainder of the rows.

A couple other key points are that I have column headings as well (Range A1-R1). If possible, I want to be able to include the column headings in the email body as well. Example - first email would be range A1-R2. second email would be range A1-R1 and A3-R3, and so forth. The body of the email would also contain a standard script, such as "Please review the information below."

The goal here is to save everyone from having to send 5000+ manual emails. This would be a big boost for my team.

Code:

Sub Email()
Dim rng As Range
Dim OutApp As Object

Not Understanding VLOOKUP

Jun 30, 2008

I have searched for a while on VLOOKUP (something I'm not very familiar with but and trying to become more so), And if this wasnt such a time sensitive project I would continue to search. In one sheet, there is a column which includes employee #'s, the next column over is the employee names, next is salary. On another sheet I put a drop down box where you can select the employee number. In the cell next to that I would like to have the employees name come up as well as the salary in the next cell over....something like this

Name Salary
Dropdown w/#'s

Taken from

Emp# EmpName EmpSalary
23123 Joe Smith $50,000

Is this the right time for vlookup...there are almost 1000 names in this sheet?...

Sumproduct Understanding Cell Value

Mar 26, 2014

I have this formula -

=SUMPRODUCT(('[Australia Load Tracker - March 2014 - V2.xlsm]QA'!$E:$E=B4)*('[Australia Load Tracker - March 2014 - V2.xlsm]QA'!$D:$D=$A$2))

Which works perfectly if A2 has the cell value 24/03/2014 however, if i put in $A$2 this value

="02"&"/"&$XFC$1&"/"&"14", where XFC$1 equals =IF(XFD1>9,XFD1,"0"&XFD1) and XFD1 = =MONTH(TODAY())

Which in basic term gives the month value "03"

The cell shows the value 24/03/2014 however does not work with the sumproduct.. is there anyway to get sumproduct to read this cell value as 24/03/2014 as the whole point is so every month I don't have to update anything and it will constantly update...

The only alternative i can think of is quickly making a VBA script to hardcode the cell values for the dates and change the month value for the middle of the cells every month.

Email To Multiple Recipients (already Have Emailing Code)

Oct 17, 2011

Here is my code below for a program that opens a user interface, lists all the names of tabs in the spreadsheet in a list box. By selecting an item (or sheet name) in the list box then clicking "email" a specific area of that selected sheet is sent to an email address located on the sheet.

What I would like to have happen is with the click of a button email each sheet to the specified email address. So if there were 100 sheets rather than clicking on each name then clicking email, have one button to email the each individual sheet to the associated email address. I am guessing something like a "For" loop would be required but am not quite sure how to implement.

Code:
Private Sub CommandButton2_Click()

ActiveWorkbook.Close

End Sub

Private Sub ListBox1_Click()
'this will set the label caption depending on which sheet is selected in the list box

Label1.Caption = Sheets(ListBox1.Value).Range("b2").Value

Unprotect/Reprotect Sheet During Email Vba Code

Nov 18, 2009

I have an email vba code set up in my workbook that emails the worksheet in an attachment to someone. However, I keep getting an error code saying permission denied when the code tries to finish.
